This cool app could be found in the ETEN X500. Does anyone know if it is possible to get it to work on other units?
what does this app do?
As I understand from screenshots (http://smartmania.mobilmania.cz/index.php?ind=reviews&op=entry_view&iden=158) appends current GPS location to SMS message.

Yep, that is what it does. I wonder if it is possible to get the same function while connected to a BT GPS?
Hi all.
I have tried with different GPS softwares (PapagoX3&Vietmap), GPS clock are mysteriously one hour ahead of the current time (Device's time).
Could anyone suggest a solution to get a correct time in GPS?
I set clock as GMT+ 7 (Hanoi, Bangkok)
Help me, please. Thanks heaps !

Maybe, but I dont know how to turn it off ?
Hey,
(Thinking it could be daylight saving time).
- I searched on the internet and I found a few things you could try. You could update your device with through this link:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/downloads/microsoft/daylight-savings-update.mspx
- You can try to put daylight saving time off in Outlook through
Tools | Options | Preferences | Calendar Options | Time Zone
(I found this on an old threat on the internet so I am not sure it will work, the link:
http://forum.brighthand.com/showthread.php?t=146800)
But before I continue is it the GPS clock or the whole phone? Did you ever connect the phone with a USB cable to a computer?
Grtz

Yup, its the GPS clock which is shown in several GPS map software I mentioned above. The clock of whole phone is still set correctly
I did try to disable my daylight saving time(DST) by "advance config tool" from xda - developer but its not the solution. >> do you think that GPS signal, its self, contains a time data including DST.
Infact, my local time (+ 7 GMT Bangkok, Hanoi) is not observed by DST but GPS clock still run as if the DST is applied, one hour ahead of local time
Hey,
I really do not have a clue what the problem would be. I thought that GPS just tracked location and not time. Anyway I searched on this forum with the searchkey "GPS TIME". Maybe the following topic is helpfull:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=321296
Grtz
Ps. I often update my GPS with the preinstalled ("quickgps")
Disable the auto adjust gps-time.

In Settings from Navi-software. Maybe different in the Navisofts, for instance iGO in sys.txt or in Settings-menu, TomTom only in Settings-menu.

unfortunately, both of my Gps software (Vietmap17, papagox3) dont have setting funtion for this. Hence I have to edit some registry info, dont I ?
Sorry, donĀ“t know both GPS-Apps. Maybe a reg-setting or a config-file.
Can't you try to call the service centre of the GPS software? Even if it is illegal you can try.

Yup, they are legal sofwares, I called service centre of Vietnam17 software. However they dont know much, too disappointed. Maybe, I will try to email Papagox3 service center about my matter.

to know how to fix the problem, look at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=588831
hope this can help
This is if you use Titlewave-panel. I never used it, because i use SBP-panel..
Auto Daylight-saving should be a feature from core Windows Mobile, and not from any addon-program!

Hi,
Does anyone know the settings for GPS? I live in London and by default when I got installed the rom was NTP server address was America so I changed it to Europe. It works perfectly when on Wireless but when I use my mobile data it says ""Your current location is currently unavailable""
The current GPS Configuration is:
NTP server address:
3.europe.pool.ntp.org
SUPL server address:
supl.google.com
SUPL server port:
7276
Can anyone shine light?
hey
im in south london have the same settings & get an accurate gps lock from a cold start in 30secs or less
if you havent already got it try Leo AGPS Injector v0.5 from tytung:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16384028&postcount=1907
or try using gps status from the market & choose the option download extra data, other than that i couldnt say what the issue is?
also helps to add rom info

Thanks for your reply.
Do you use Leo AGPS Injector v0.5? Or does it automatically detect gps? Do you think it could be due to the lack of gps satellites in my area?

yeh, i use AGPS Injector, only once every 4-5 days, i doubt there would be a lack of satellites over London, if you try gps status it will show you how many satellites there are.

give it a try

only other thing i can think of is check your settings make sure you have enabled the 3 toggles in the location settings of miui,
also check with your rom chef, see if he can help,
u still havent said which build you're using.

I did at the Developer and no luck.
The rom I am using is HD2_NDT_MIUI_GINGER_DEVELEPMENT_V30.0_MAGLDR_New
I checked the 3 toggles and it was ok.
I think the only thing left is to reinstall the rom
