Google Maps - My Location

Hey guys,
I´m trying to use Google My Location, but i´m not having success.
I press button 0 but nothing happen... Anyone have an idea how to make it work?

May be a stupid question, but....
are you pressing the letter "O" or the number zero? Also what happens when you choose my location from the menu? Does it work then?

I´m pressing 0 ( zero ), and yes. It also happens when i choose the option from the menu..

What exactly is happening when you try to use "my location"? Does it not doing anything?

So, when i try to use "my location" nothings happen.. the maps stills like i have not pressing anything..

uninstall it, and then reinstall it from your phone's browser (go to google.com/gmm). May be that helps.

Your mobile network provider may not support!

you can use an external bluetooth GPS device..it work for me

It´s supports, cause a friend of mine has a QTEK, with the same gmaps version on the same network and it runs ok..

I have some questions:
1. on what port will igo 2008 work with my ipaq?
2. where is the QUICK GPS Icon ? -> can I activate it from the registry ?
3. How do I turn OFF the annoying T9 ? -> or, how can I set it for my language : Romanian ?
4. where can I acces the SIM contacs ? the phone part of this iPAQ is totally annoying me for now ...

for those who don’t like to switch between there language and tx9 and prefer to switch between there language and English (abc) you can disable the priority of the tx9 by installing this cab

what abouit igo 2008. r u using it ? mine still cannot detect satelites

I'm sorry to say we don’t have igo 8 yet
any way I cannot say I have tried it myself
but from what I have heard if you go to your device program file/igo 8 you will find a sys.txt
add these lines to what you already have there in the txt using your home pc then the program will work
pleas note that you need to have one line blank before adding
[gps]
port=6
baud=57600
set_messages=0
pleas edit the text and report
good luck

ok I will do that.
tried to set them from the program itself and its actinv strange.
also I tried to set them from the GPS aplication that come within setting and also noluck
I will try this and report.
BTW, where u from ? I think Israel right ? - u using yahoo messenger?

working with msn (EREZYAD) using EQO

now when I will have the software I'm shore to know how to make it work

hmm I managed to start it jsut 2 times (igo2008) -> i mean the gps signal
from that time on, it stopped detectig sattelites
it's so stupid. I will try for a change with igo2006 and keep u updated.
are there any twaks that I can make to work better with my GPS/ sattelites as I don;'t have quick gps ?
can I get quick gps and install/configure from a another WM6 device ? (a friend has here a HTC touch cruise, everything works fine for him with quick gps+igo2008 )
and, can I make registry tweaking or smf, so that everytime I write sms, I automaticlly have : ABC instead of T9 ?

if i-go 8 has problems with identifying the gps you didn't follow my instructions correctly

still nothig. I start to think that the problem is the space that I have outside the office. maybe its causing not to find the sattelites.

yes it works, BUT you cant use it... need touch screen! the scroll wheel and/or keyboard not working

I got TomTom installed but i wait for ever to get a satellite lock.
And I never do.How long do i have to wait to get a lock?
What settings are we supposed to set in order for it to work. My HD locks in 2 seconds when sitting next to my Snap.
Also is there a quick GPS app in the Snap?I couldnt find it.

sygic mobile maps works pretty well for me. garmin wouldnt keep a good lock for me. maybe just my bad luck. so far so good with sygic.

I just hope i never get your problem with mine. Im getting one in a couple of days. One of the reasons why im upgrading from my dash is so i don't have to use my bluetooth gps.

Well I got my phone and I've got the problem. I wait forever and i never get a lock!! What should I do?

Yay it works now . It was pretty obvious to fix it in the end (If it is called fixing) There is a program called quickgps in the startmenu. Press download and it downloads details about the satellite so its easier for the gps to get a lock. I have only walked around testing it and it seems to be working good so far

GPS - stupid question

I have the most stupid question.. Is the gps free? Do you have to pay for using it?

GPS is free. but you have to pay if you want to use, for instance, google maps, because it needs a data connection. so basically, it IS free, but unless you have a (paid) internet connection, it's useless.
One exception: if you got a navigation software with offline maps, you don't need internet and money. but such apps are -really- expensive ;P

I may not advice you but google a full version for free. I am using sygic mobile maps. Try :-D

iGo MyWay 8.4.2+latest maps .do not need connection.

yep GPS is free... i use Maverick and have save google maps titles in it of my city so i could use it for free and anywhere with gps locating my position...
and use sygic for navigation purpose its also a offline app..

maverick is a very cool app, buyware, but its worth
google maps saving in maverick:
be aware of updateing to version 1.95 -> google is deleted!
-> stay at 1.94
Use additonal the older mobac 1.9beta 6 and you can save a lot of maps.
maverick is less a navigation more than a tracking.
You can navigate, by checkinging the maps manually. Its not as comfortable like a real navi.

no, only for Set Destination need internet connection.... when you set destination, you can turn off internet connection

is there some other apps that use just gps satelites to position??

Search for Navigon wp7 cracked software.
I am not allowed to post here cracked links so you have to search it on google...
I hope I helped
P.S. Navigon is a full gps navigation application that is working completely offline
All you need to do is download in the start up the maps and then you go offline for ever.
