If Interested, I found there are guides on how to do this, i am not allowed to post links yet but search google for "partition clockworkmod" (without the quotes) and for me the guide i found was the first result (admittedly, google results vary by user).

[Q] Help w/ SD Format

Howdy, folks. Having a little trouble getting my SD card to format properly so I can take full advantage of the DL DesireZ ROM. I've read the instructions from F-bone, but still confused.
I've been twaddling around with the Gpartd disc, and can create a 1536MB partition, but when I then segment that to 1024, I keep getting shorted 1MB and wind up with a 511MB partition. I also recall when moving things around seeing a message about the MBR being missing, so I recreated it.
Is there any reason why the ext4 partitions must be at the end of free space, rather than at the beginning? Why do I keep having this 1MB segment floating around? Is that for the MBR, and if so, where should I place it?
Also, the capacity on the card is 16GB (the standard HD2 MicroSD card that came with the phone) but it's showing only 14.8-ish Gig. I presume that's because of the difference between the definition of 'gig' at 1000 and the actual 1024 size, and/or slack space consumed by the partitioning and formatting, but if someone could confirm, it would put my mind at ease.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance!
I followed the previous and for the first time it went smooth and the build rebooted with no bootloop after first boot.
Ignore the bit where it says what your size for fat 32 should be, that's for an 8gb card, just follow everything and you should end up with 13.4 fat32, I think that's what i had anyhow, all space on card used in 3 partitions

since there are still people asking for more details on how to install and how complicated its to install & set up partitions on sd card, i've went back to F-bone's previous post which helped me install my nand and partition and added a little more details and links to Gparted and Panasonic formatter. thank F-bone for this!!
Ok here it goes - this guide describes the way I do it to install the NAND+3partitions variation.
1) Download v3.3 and extract it on your desktop.
2) Download Panasonic SD Formatter and GPARTED Live CD ISO (google)
Panasonic formatter link=
http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/sd/download/index.html or
http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter_3/
Gparted live cd iso link:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/gparted/files/gparted-live-stable/ (120 MB!)
3) Shut down your HD2 and remove the SDCard - place the SDCard in a card reader and BACKUP your files (photos etc).
4) Format the SDCard in your laptop or PC using the Panasonic SD Formatter (Full Format)
Also, I have windows 7 and you can go to my Start/computer/SD card drive, right click and format: file system choose Fat32, allocation size, choose the highest 32kb or 64kb, uncheck quick so its full format. That will also do it and no need to download Panasonic if you prefer the windows tools.
5) Boot GParted Live CD (instructions on Gparted Live )
-the file you downloaded for Gparted live Cd Iso is an image file meaning you should burn it into a cd or a dvd in order to be able to use it. Do that by any program capable of burning image files ( nero is an example of such programs)
-after making the cd/dvd, place the cd/dvd in your cd/dvd drive and restart your computer, instead of loading windows, Gparted will load from the cd/dvd.
-next as you are entering Gparted you’re faced with 4 options, choose GPARTED LIVE(DEFAULT SETTINGS)
-next 4 more choices, choose don’t touch keymap
-next choose language, 33 for English. Type 33 press enter
-next, will ask you which mode, type 0(continue to start x to use gparted automatically) press enter
Now gparted is loaded,
on the main screen I will be your hard drive partitions, don’t touch anything of your pc partitions otherwise, you’ll possible lose your windows/personal file etc… important!!!
-So on top right, click and choose your sd card.
-when it loads you should see your sd card (Fat32 size 7540 Mb), right click, resize/move
- new window opens, type 1536 under free space following ( for example 7540 minus 1536) and press add ( I’ll add a screen shot)
-now you have two partitions, Fat32 size 6004 Mb & Unallocated size 1536 Mb.
-right click on Unallocated, click new(new box opens),set to primary and under file system select Ext4 then press add.
-now you named unallocated to ext4 so you got Fat32 and Ext4
-do the same process, right click on Ext4 click on resize/move, choose 512 under space following (1536-512) press add, now you have Fat32, Ext4(size 1GiB), Unallocated(size 512Mib)
-just like before, right click on Unallocated, New, set to primary under file system choose Ext4 and add.
-MAKE SURE YOU PRESS APPLY or none of these changes will take effect. After gpart will do its process you’ll have 3 partitions!!!
-At this point your SDcard has 3 partitions FAT32, ext4 1024MiB, and ext4 512MiB - EXIT Gparted and boot into Windows again.
6) Go to your desktop where you extracted the rom and open config.txt
7) Change gps_zone to your country's zone (=gr for Greece) - leave the rest of the settings intact for NAND+3partitions SDcard variation of this rom - save file.
8) Before you remove the SDcard from your laptop or PC make a folder Desire_DL and copy ONLY the config file you just saved to Desire_DL folder.
9) Safely remove the SDCard and place it in your HD2.
10) Turn on HD2 and HOLD power key to get into MAGLDR 1.11
11) Choose USB Flasher(option 4) and press phone (Green) key
12) Connect your HD2 to your computer
13) Go to your desktop and from the rom folder you extracted run Install.
14) Wait
15) Wait
16) Wait… it may take a while, since the rom will format ext4 partition(s).
17) Now that HD2 has booted do the basic settings and REBOOT again. DO NOT INSTALL APPS etc etc at this point
18) Now that you have rebooted for 2nd time you can do whatever you want - maybe do a 3rd reboot to see that everything is stable
NOTE: When the rom boots wait for a while before using the phone until various system services load in the background after the SD card is prepared... wait 30-40 seconds
hope this helps...

That's for your basic apps2sd, some builds like the one we're running you need to use gparted to create one fat32, one 1gb ext4 and another 350mb ext4, CWM doesn't allow you to do that, just one ext3 so whatever size you select.
Wow. Ok, that's strange. Tried it again today and it worked fine. Wierd. Thanks for the input, guys.

@LinChina
i think recovery(CWM) only makes EXT3 but i'm not really sure about that, your best bet is use a pc that can have those warez on it
or this, if you can place & unzip the file in your NB
3a Use the provided 4EXT recovery (NAND or SD version) to create the partitions and format them.

Now I know ..but the first post is for people who don't have magldr or android on nand....SD recovery is not needed when you have cwm recovery inbuilt in magldr
Easy steps
1. Use minitool partition manager on PC to make sdext4 partition (cwm makes only ext3 ..so is not useful)
2. Copy your favorite native SD rom zip folder to SD card
3. In magldr ..go to ad recovery..install zip from SD...then follow instructions ..default path install is SD ext
4. Reboot
Enjoy

Hi everyone, it only looks that I'm a new user, it's because i've never posted anything before. I have Hd2 for almost 2 years from now and like 1,5 year being passive user on XDA. Anyway I do have problems that i can't manage myself. OP asked a dumb question, only if he has Android Nand or Windows Mobile, however... nobody ever tried making it work with WP7? I've been working on it few hours and don't have a clue how to do it. I've deleted my FAT32 partition and split it into Fat32+Ext4. If EXT is logical, WPH boots and show "Storage Card not working", but if it's primary it doesn't even boot. Is there anyway to solve this thing? Any help much appreciated, thanks.

I like to try nativeSD Android roms, but with MAGLdr it runs into a deadlock as MAGLdr does not support WinMo 6.5.
Is there a way to use NativeSD? even better with multiboot?

yes, you must replace the 2 files...
why you can't see the folder: check on a PC, if the folder has hidden attribute... or try to create a new folder, copy all files from the old to the new, delete old and rename new folder...

Why I do not see the folder? I ask my self the same question and I don't know why, anyway my card is recognized and the folder is there, if will be hidden I will not see the folders, I also put different card into my hd2 with different folders and still the same. I think the 4EXT recovery make something wrong with partitions or I do.

SD-EXT Size -1mb

Hello
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2126053&page=1 I i tried setup that rom on my hd2 but i have problem. First I setup magldr and i did 384mb recovery. After I partioned my sd card with mini tool partition wizard. 32kb cluster with 6,5gb fat32 and 1gb default cluster ext 4. I coppied rom file on my sd card and i entered to ad recorvery>choose zip from sd card and on that page sd card size looks 6593mb but sd ext size is -1. What's wrong and how I fix it? And i didn't see anywhere on topic but did I need use 4extrecorvery etc. another file on sd card? I use only task29 magldr, 384mb recorvery. Sorry for my bad english but i hope you understand me. Thanks all.

Recovery or system? System should be 384. Recovery should be 6mb for ext4recovery, 8mb for TWRP (which I recommend).

You can also use TWRP Extended. It should be better choice than ext4recovery.

Do you plan to use only Android or dual boot with WM6.5/WP7?
If you're going android only way you may try also CLK instead of MAGLDR - it makes repartitioning NAND easier
Using this file you will get flashable img file (just put in in you sd card and hold vol- during powering) with CLK and TWRP Extendend.

Good!
Now, you are in TWRP menu.
1) First, go to reboot (TWRP is touch based) and select bootloader. Phone will reboot to bootloader (clk).
2) Select (navigate via vol+ and vol-, enter the menu by pressing "green" phone) SETTINGS, than RESIZE PARTITION
3) Select SYSTEM and set size to 390.
4) Go back using back arrow button, select COMMIT CHANGES and APPLY
5) Press back arrow button to return to menu and select RECOVERY
Now, you are properly partitioned and back in recovery (TWRP).
6) Go to ADVANCED -> PARTITION SD CARD. Check your partitions. First one (SD card) should be VFAT. Second one is SD-Ext. Check SD-Ext size. Should read: 1024 MB or something similar If it is so, click arrow in lower left corner of screen. No you are back on home screen.
7) Select INSTALL. In file manager select zip file with rom you want to install. Installer will start. elect DATA ON EXT type of install (should be best choice for you). Remember to select PPP type of connection if asked.
8) When installer will finish, reboot. Your phone should boot straight to android.

7) Select INSTALL. In file manager select zip file with rom you want to install. Installer will start. elect DATA ON EXT type of install (should be best choice for you). Remember to select PPP type of connection if asked.
8) When installer will finish, reboot. Your phone should boot straight to android.

It sounds like you have extracted the zip and put it on your sd card, instead of installing the zip from recovery.
Have you created an ext4 partition on your sdcard?
finally u got my problem....yes, i have extracted zip file and put all the 5 folders on sd card...but not done ext4 .....plz help me.....explain the solution in detail.
plz, reply fast......
please, reply....still waiting
how to install zip from recovery? Plz help.
it is best to use minitool partition wizard http://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html which you might have already. Be careful to identify which is your sdcard and which is your pc and/or hard drive, you do not want to delete your hard drive
Assuming you have FAT32 on the left and an "unformatted" partition on the right (which holds your WP7), you need to create a new ext4 partition from the fat32 partition in the middle, without touching the wp7 partition.
So delete the fat32 partition, then create a 2gb smaller fat32 (primary, default clusters) using the slider on the right
Then create the 2gb ext4 partition (primary, default clusters) in the middle.
Press the tick to actually start the process, or undo if you made a mistake.
You should then have 1st fat32, 2nd ext4, 3rd "unformatted" (it may say "other" for filesystem=wp7) all primary.
You then need to put an sd recovery on the fat32, such as https://goo.im/devs/Xylograph/Various/Recoveries/SD/
unzip it and put the folder with the files in it on your sd card.
put the rom.zip also on the sdcard do not unzip it.
put card in phone
magldr 10 services > 1. bootsettings > ad sd dir and select the recovery folder with the files in it
magldr 2 boot ad sd
install the rom nativeSD
after reboot, magldr 10 services > 1. bootsettings > ad sd dir and select NativeSD
magldr 2 boot ad sd
profit?
Please do not post your questions in the development section any more, people will tend to either ignore you or flame you.
thanks for reply....r u sure there r 3 partitions..? Bec from the video tutorial by dxdy there r only 2 partitions(unallocated and fat32)...and there is no recovery folder or files.....in that video he only copy extracted rom files to sd card.....is ext4 really important?
i have also done the way you said it except ext4 partion.... downloaded the recovery twrp 2.2.2.0 leo sd.zip extracted it and put that folder in sd card with rom.zip ...then selected ad sd dir but there is no native sd option....after selecting boot ad sd still getting same error. It says 'sd kernel open failed'....plz guide me

Yes, for mac4a rom that you want to install, it must have an ext4 partition to install NativeSD.
The roms that dxdy was talking about are sd builds, which are now superceded by NativeSD.
You could just chose an [SD] build from http://forum.xda-developers.com/hd2-android/sd-dev if you don't want to run the risk of re-partitioning and losing your wp7, laptop or hard drive.
thanks alot for reply....as u said i have created fat32 of 1.69gb but dont show ext4 option it shows ext2 and ext3 so i selected ext3 of 1.45gb....will it make any difference? Can i continue with ext3?

Phone running slow ??try this method to increase internel storage

Be aware you need a rooted device and a sd card before you do this
first install a app called link2sd or any other alternative app
then backup your sd card.....
then boot into cwm <recovery> and then go to advanced options partition sd card ....select the storage space needed and then click ok ,swap size should be 0 in the next page.reboot.
go to the app i mentioned above it will ask for "select the type of you sd cards second partition you need to select<mostly ext 2 ><but if it does not work out then try out the trial and error method nothing will go wrong!!1> then it will create mount scripts and ask to reboot device reboot you will have your sd card second partition ready then using the app move the applications to the 2nd partition.
do not move system apps or important apps i tested it it works please dont forget to hit the thanks button
