Attention to all devs

There is a port that has been put alot of time into and needs the handy work of some talented devs that can get this going and finished in the right direction. The Droid X port. ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1134997 )
Camera is literally a second away from getting to work and other then that that WiFi is the only thing not working to my knowledge. me and a bunch of other members have been trying to keep the thread alive and checking in everyday to see how the progress was and at first it wasn't doing anything and no one was even bothering cause of it being motoblur and doubted it could ever work/
But then team Xron came in and literally brought this port from nothing to pretty damn usable. They fixed the screen tearing, the hw acceleration and the sound. All that is working right now and only thing that needs a touch up from a dev is the Wifi. Fix that and this can be one badass mother effin Port. Can't wait for this to get finished up and everyone can enjoy it because its really that good.
All i know is that Chubbz is still working on it but Swamp Goblin has given up and thinks this is as far as the rom will go, but i don't believe that. no pun intended but he got the evo 3d now and is off to bigger and better things lol
So im asking if anyone out their, dont even have to be a Myn or Virus but someone that can put some little more progress in this and it will be finished and ready to boot up for everyone to enjoy.
Thanks for hearing me out and hopefully word gets out to the right ears and they would want to lend a hand. i know it can be done.

Quick question.....I'm a long time Android user and rooter and I remember back ineligible the G1 and MyTouch 3G days there was a motoblur port and pretty much everything was running including cams and wifi.....do you think you guys can look into those roms and see what those devs did to get it working?? I mean it may be worth a shot......

Is this port further along than the WP7 port?

didn't even know there was a WP7 port, never seen it in the 4g development forum. so i would have to say yes.
Like i said, all this needs is a cam fix and wifi and its ready to go

Light years ahead of the WP7 port....not bashing either I would love to see wp7 work out on the Evo especially since its going to be retired from sprints lineup soon.....but of course porting an android rom with a skin on top of it to a device already running android is easier than porting a whole different OS.....

The wp7 is vaporware its like the webos port....light years away LOL. You'd probably see an iOS port before wp7. I still have my evo id love to check out this droid x port.

Cmon dude sell your EVO bro, come to the darkside, there's ways. I know 3 people personally that called to have their upgrade reset then traded in evo to target for 150 and paid 50 bucks for 3D. If they did it in my city I would have gone that route. 50 bucks only! I love my og EVO too much to get rid of her though...

I will mail a box of white dog **** to your doorstep if you get a photon...my upgrade is in September this year. If sgs2 is better than evo, which I doubt, then ill get that and sell my 3D.

i like the photon. i really do enjoy motoblur port we have now. but i would want the galaxy s2 more then the photon.
i don't care if the phone is a downgrade, i just need a change of pace in phone. no more evo but i would want to keep android

I'm not taking it that way. The guys excited to have root back. Can't fault anyone for that. I would be too. He even said he misses his EVO. Which I would greatly. Everytime I use my wifes photon I'm thankful for my EVO, even though its unrooted. The photon widgets are lame,not to mention there is hardly any (no clock,email or messaging widgets),no mobile data toggle,if your in 4g area it enables it to connect to data,the music app is plain Jane...I don't know..I'm not in anyway knocking the phone but just my opinion and only a comparison to what I have so don't take it the wrong way. If you love your photon,koodos. I for one have just grown accustomed to HTC I guess..

Don't matter, I'm trading my extra Atrix for the Inspire, pretty much will rock MIUI or Sense 3.5 from here on out. Either will, I will have MIUI.

Well good for you ....I decided against the inspire when I purchased my atrix and im still happy with my decision. Inspire amoled ftw though.

No, not confirmed yet. But lets not get off topic of the thread.

I am very excited for miui to be honest. I was also able to find two other people have been working on porting over miui for 4-5 months and haven't gotten very far so its definitely no easy task. I am very appreciative of any dev who can do this on their own dime. Lets hope for a speedy and full recovery for the dev!

Well, I haven't actually had the Epic for 6 months now, though I still have 2 of them on my account. With my GS3 getting delivered tomorrow, I think its time to break my Epic4G thread addiction and say goodbye.
I want to say thanks to everyone here for a good couple of years. I made many good friends from this forum, learned a ton, and tried to pass on much of it to the group of themers that came after me.
I know that I will see many of you in the GS3 forums in the next few months, so until then, unless my daughter or ex f up their epics and I need help.

I know I am thankful for what you have given. You will and have been missed.

How about...all former OG Epic users who go to SG3 can simply post roms, themes, mods, and LeBron King photos over here in the Epic forums. There can be some kind of "code" used so we can differentiate between Epic threads and non-Epic (non Epic can have a suffix like "NE"- so we can have Peoples Rom NE, RandomRom NE, etc). Kenny, as FNM, can watch over to make sure no non-Epicureans get in (like the burly guy that stands at the velvet rope and let's the hotties into the nightclub). It will be like a "secret society" of old Epic users, complete with crest that can be used as splashscreen animation...
Shane, your contributions to the Epic were, truly, Epic. Thank you for your creativity and time! See you on the other side...

My work on the atrix was over the day we push the first stable cm7. Since them I've been working on Rom Factory (formerly Fruit Cake Maker), and today I'm working on fixing the cheesecake app for you guys. I am selling one of my atrix that's for sure. but i own 2 of them. so i def still have one and will continue to play with it. Once an ics official is available i will release a fruit cake for it and what not. but in my capacity as a dev, i will def not continue work on my ninja rom, and prob wont be very active on the forum.
Because of school and work I don't really have the time to explore and hack devices like I did a year back. Not too mention the increase cost of devices and being broke does not help me stay modern. My aging computer can't handle compiling much longer and my atrix, well, you saw the picture of my daily atrix, the screen is broken. I still continue work on an effort to boot webtop from cm7, which even tho i know better, i keep trying in hopes of coming up with a good workaround.
It's important as an user and dev to keep track of the milestones of a device. The Atrix was def a hard device to work with but as a community we have come far. Just to mention a few of the accomplishments of this community.
The atrix dev team (only here you will find 6+ devs willing to give up all their time to work together for the same goal)
International Bootloader Unlock (30+ people participated the night the unlock was discover, thats pretty amazing, and all of them are just as equally responsible for the unlock being found as steven25b or me.)
CM7 (may I mention one of the fastest put together cm7 ever, nearly 900 downloads in one day [im sure gs3 got more in one day but boo them])
Early Motorola Photon help. (they don't like to admit it, but we help the photon community massively. the2dcour even put a nice pudding together for them.)
My point is, as a dev, i know this community got it going right. I feel like i can help on other ways. And i def need a new challenge (phone) to keep me entertain. LOL beyond the fact that i need a new development phone, for app deving. Plus, if you miss me just drop me a line, I'm one friendly mofo, I'll answer and help, and if you are near me, let's go have a beer.

When you fix this app, I will help the guys out with searching for the ICS update... I have my Atrix back to Stock just for this purpose alone. I have my SGS3 now, so I will sacrifice my Atrix in whatever way it takes to help put. I too want a Full-Time lapdock Tablet type device out of this Atrix eventually. Let me know when and Where I can help out. Thank you Sam for all your hard work.

Still working on it. Im changing the way it works. Phydo did a great job. But is not the best way to do it. For reliability purposes im pretty much redoing the app.
