Lord knows there aren't enough threads on this very subject, and no need to even use the search function as one of them is on this very page.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420208

I think you will find the information you are looking for in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1415296
Unfortunately some of the "experts" here seem to get more joy from making snide comments to newbies who are actually trying to learn something about their new Iconia than actually trying to help them.
It is unfortunate because providing help can only expand the knowledge base and benefit everyone.

Whatever you want! My key root moves were to get rid of Sprint activation nagging and bloatware, and to use Titanium Backup effectively.

I would advise you to get root anyway. There's some useful tools by mskip on here. Give them a whirl and ask any questions in the respective section. Good luck and welcome.

If it makes you feel any better, you can't move apps to SD any more either on an unrooted S3 running jellybean.
Yes you can move apps to SD, and you don't even need to flash a custom kernel. Details here:

Yes, Directory Bind is awesome I use it myself, but it doesn't move apps to sd card. It allows you to move a directory to the sd card and mount it so that the phone thinks it exists in the internal memory. The .apk still exists in the internal memory.

[Q] De-bloated 32gb still only has 24gb free?

I got my 32gb model, and instantly rooted and got TWRP on it, wiped it, and flashed the loki'd cyanogenmod. However, the internal storage is still telling me I have just under 24gb of space. Is this normal, and is there a solution to it?
Thank you all for any help and answers you have!!! (I swear, I searched the forums and google'd but could not find an answer!)
Nothing you can really do its the way the partitions are set up

Well...ive said it multiple times in multiple threads...
Debloating does NOT provide more space, our phones bloat are located in the system partition which is unuseable to us. Regardles of whether that partition is filled or empty its size remains the same and unusable... we have to wait for a dev to redo our partition layout which may or may never happen...and im leaning towarss never...at least jot universally as that limits the amount of things that can be included in a rom...especially the tw based roms

Pretty much. I wish we would have had at least 11GB free of space instead of 9GB, oh well.

Thank you so very much for that clear and concise answer!! I truly do appreciate it. I now at least understand what is happening and why.
Next question-- is it not possible to repartition ourselves?? If the bootloader were to get unlocked sometime soon, surely that would allow us complete control, including partitioning and formatting drives, or no?
Anyway, thank you very much for the help. (And thank you other posters as well, much appreciated it!)

That and you don't want to be messing around with your partition tables. It's a sure way to brick your phone.

[Q] Hello all. New again to Android with questions

Hello all. Im new again to the world of Android. My last Android phone was the HTC EVO with Sprint. I left Sprint and went to ATT for the iPhone. I have left Apple and came back to Android. I look back and ask myself why I left Android. I don't have an answer for you.
I have a few questions and I apologize if they have been posted before but I cant seem to find a clear answer using search on the forum or on google. Perhaps my means of searching suck. That could be 100% true.
So I have the S4 with ATT MF3 build rooted. I have been looking into getting google wallet so I can use it to pay for my things in the stores. I have seen some methods for the rooted phones but the dates are older and they don't seem to work. I don't know if there is a way for me to get google wallet to work. I would love to know. I have tried one method i found on the internet but nothing seemed to work.
When I open google wallet I get this message: Insufficient Privileges. Insufficient secure element privileges for this system images (release-keys).
I dont know what to do or if there is anything that I can do. Please help me find a method or direct me in a way I can find one that will work.
Thanks for your time in advance.

Questions should go to the q&a section. But you should look in to safestrap and install a custom ROM with Google wallerlt already working.

Search "safestrap i337 xda"
Read the "pinned" threads in the General and Q&A sections. In those threads, you will find a list of ROMs that are available as well as a lot of information you need to know.

When I'm using the xda app via phone I don't see pinned threads. So if he is using the xda app instead of web browser he'll have a harder time looking for it if he doesn't know what he's searching.

Then he needs to wait until he has access to a PC or laptop. How is he supposed to get "wallet" on his phone without a PC or laptop anyway?

I flashed Roms without the use of my PC before, using safestrap. Takes awhile to download but it gets the job done. I just flashed mj6 but had to use laptop for that.

On my GS3, all I had to do was edit a couple values in my build.prop with ones from a Nexus. Then install Wallet, let it setup, and after your cards are saved, change back your build.prop.
This process may be different for a GS4. Though I don't see why. It only requires that you have root.
