Hi, today I bought my N7000 from an online store. Everything nice, love it. Just that somehow it has the branding of the TIM from italy company (carrier). I rooted my phone using the method posted here, i have Superuser and everything. All i want is the TIM logo not to show on boot and poweroff, and normal android icons for everything. Is it too much to ask ? It runs Android 2.3.6 and Kernel version KA. Please help me.
You could try flashing a stock firmware with Odin. Kl7 seems to be doing well based on the feedback here.

yes, but if i use odin, can I go back to the original roms and setting in case warranty is needed?
if you already have cwm, you can do a backup of your stock rooted rom. then you can try Rocket rom v12- the speed is fantastic compared to kka stock rom. I suggest you do a wipe in cwm before flashing the new rom, otherwise you'll get boot loops. And of course, you should assume the risks

sunt din Romania. Anyway, I just want stock. I tried to flash from CWM but it doesn't mount the sd card. it just counts down 20 secs and stops. I already created a backup up, but when i tried to load it, same countdown issue. Any ideas? it's CWM 5.0.2.7
do u have a micro sd card in the phone?

I understand what your saying but dont I need my stock firmware to use these and I cant make a back up as the tab is already rooted so all i would be doing is making a backup with the root still on
I need the stock rom so I can restore the phone to before it was rooted and CWM was installed
The problem I have is I need to unroot it so I can send it back to Samsung for repair
So I need a stock rom and wouldn't making a backup with nandroid just back it up as it is now rooted
Its unlocked but think it was on Vodafone as the stock rom is P7500BUKH1 but I was wondering what would happen if I restored it with this P7500XXKI1 Open Europe
Just been advised to flash this firmware P7500XEUKH3 because they think this is for UK tabs is there anyway of finding out
Product Code: GT-P7500UWDXEU
Latest firmware: P7500XWKHD/P7500XEUKH3/P7500XWKG1/P7500XWKHD
Now is supported for our devices.

Works great. Now we wait for counter reset :-D and jkay mod (one in a million chance).
As for reason for failing to flash csc i reported in other thread.
If not flashing stock recovery, trying to keep team epic cwm, while doing it perfectly on international model with his cwm port, got the reply from Chainfire in a pm.
Basically he always packs stock recovery together with cwm in his releases.
Just wish someone releases temp cwm like we had on sgs2. Basically update.zip with spoofed signature.
That would also allow rooting without tripping a counter or flashing prerooted rom.

Loving every minute of it. its just in a class of its own compaired to my old phone.

Right i have a few questions guys.
what is the best root method so that when the time comes i will be able to return if back to stock completely if i need it for warranty purposes ?
How would i go about backing up its kernel/bootloader/radio/system/rom basicly everything thats on it stock now incase i want to flash it all back to stock before i root...
not sure its possible but i have heard that these phones come with a unlocked bootloader ?
and is there anything i need to know like what the best recovery is
i loved the tabbed recovery EX4 recovery touch that i used on my htc desire hd ? do we get something like that ?
anything else i need to know phone i have is the UK SG3 with Tmobile contract checked out the phone and its not simlocked at all on anything.
here you go for root and cwm, so....root and do a nandroid in recovery, there you have your stock backup, you can reset your flash counter with the app triangle away, as Samsung introduced this crap on the s2. It's pretty can easy to flash this baby and seems to have the virtual unbrickable merits of the s1.
T&C......do your reading, understand what you are doing, sleep on it, then reread and flash when ready....same old same old!

Unfortunately there is currently nothing like 4ext, "only" Cwm touch, but when madmaxx82 is finished with his current makeover from 4ext he will take a look and maybe make it available for the gs3 (that's at least what he said to me at the 4ext desire S thread [my previous phone ^^]).

Hey guys, is it possible to flash CWM via stock recovery using update.zip method and then flash a custom ROM for example finless, from what I've read this isn't possible because finless resizes the partitions can this not be done with CWM? And what custom roms are available that will flash directly via CWM or must first custom ROM be flashed via OTG?
Thanks in advance guys!

I flashed cwm that way and it worked on my mk809ii. Then flashed superSU in cwm and that's as far as I've got, not flashed another rom yet...

Thanks for the info which version of CWM did you flash? Does it have the partition int /ext sd card option?
Sent from my N7100
I flashed this one:

Not sure if it has that option, will check when I'm back home...

I'm still waiting on my 809 to be delivered I already have that CWM thanks and the option should come under advanced
Hopefully if I'm right a PC won't be needed to flash finless first time

I'm currently looking at this thread considering flashing a finless ROM with cwm:

Yes, for now I'm just happy I was able to flash cwm and root without a windows PC - I'll be trying out leolas instructions for flashing finless 1.7a or 1.7b via cwm (haven't decided yet). Will be sure to post my results...

Sent from my N7100
Will do. I'm basically pretty happy with the stick just stock rooted for my main purpose (HD media player) but I would enjoy more space for apps and getting a bit more performance out of the hardware so I'll inevitably be trying to flash finless in the days ahead...

Hello
Did you manage to unbrick the MK809II ?
If so can you tell me how did you do it ?
Thanks
Have you tried the mk808 unbrick method, think the reset switch on the 809ii does the same as shorting in the nand

Do you guys factory reset after flashing CM?
The best way to install is to flash Official CWM recovery from their website (Google Clockworkmod), download .img file and flash with SGS4 FLASHER from Play Store.
Boot to recovery
Go to mounts and storage
format system, data, cache. (make sure you've done a backup of current ROM before doing ths)
Then flash CyanogenMod ROM
Then factory reset
Then reboot
You should be fine
If you get stuck on splash screen it's cool, Just hold power down and try again. You may need to keep doing this till you see CyanogenMod boot animation. I've had to do it 4 times before it would finally boot. It's normal though just something weird with CM10.2 kernel. If you flash a custom kernel it boots fine everytime

Yeah i always factory reset before a fresh install of a rom. So the file is actually 200mb then? Seems a bit strange to me.

I never had problems installing CM.
I have Phil CWM.
I used the option to wipe for a clean install from the CWM and then installed the zip and after that reboot.
I am on cm 10.1.3 RC2 and all is good
I use phil cwm !! I try all the possible ways to format stuff im flashing roms about 4 years now and know how to flash them... But this CM10.2 just doesnt work for me !! I even used twrp but just doesnt work... Once this thing came afater flashin , it was updating apps and after that got stock on starting apps
