Hi,
I have a galaxy note that's rooted. i am having a strange issue. After I turn on the phone it boots up fine and I can see the launcher and flip screens. In about 2 minutes the phone seems to hang and restarts. This keeps on repeating and the only way is to remove the SD card. I have a Transcend 16GB class 10 card so speed should not be an issue.
Please help.
Thanks,
Amit.

I fell in love with WP7 but recently I'm having trouble while using it.
Sometimes it just suddenly screen freeze, it happens most in the music app, sometimes while browsing after loading a page.
Sometimes I click on an application and it just finishes the transitions and after like 7 seconds and then returns to my home screen without loading the app.
I'm thinking its SD related, I'm using a Kingstone SDHC 16GB class 4 card,
Is there anyone experiencing the same issues?
Take the card out while the phones still on, wait a minute, put it back in, then try.
I'm not sure I can do that without destroying the OS
Seeing that I just did this and it hindered the problem, I think you can.
Do it when the screens off.

This problem went away for me after I changed my SD card to a compatible one.
Anyone else get random locks? Id be typing a text message and the entire phone will lock for a few seconds. It happens randomly and its pretty annoying.
Also, alot of programs run, then go back to the homescreen. Any fixes? Or is it an SD card issue? Because mine IS compatible.
I had this issue with a Topram 16GB class 6. Switched to a Sandisk 8GB Class 2 and now I no longer have the problems that you are describing. Try changing SD cards.
So I got my Note 4 (N910F) a couple of weeks ago, everything was fine until today when I changed the sim cards, now the phone randomly restarts. I have taken the micro SD card out, that seemed to increase the time between restarts slightly but it still happens, also checked to see if the battery was inserted properly but that was fine. Is there anything I can try before doing a factory reset? Would be a considerable chore to download/customise everything again with no guarantee of it fixing the problem.

same problem. but after factory reset. i haven't encounter any random restart
Just a bit of an update, found out that the problem was with the CPU power saving feature. Turning it off prevented the restarts from happening, just tried to enable it and got a restart. Would recommend anyone getting this to try disabling CPU power saving if they haven't already, before trying a factory reset.
Why CPU power waving causing restart when enabled?
Hi,
Posting for some help.
I have just bought a 2nd hand galaxy note 4 off my friend here in New Zealand.
It is running marshmallow 6.0.1 and i noticed when i put my old micro sd 32gb card in i got a few instances where the phone would randomly turn itself off and restart.
This stopped having regularly after I got the phone all setup, but then recently I noticed occasionally it will kinda of reset itself but not shutdown but it will bring up the option on the notification bar memory card to either explore or unmont and also i have to put my backup password into unlock the phone where normally i just used fingerprint scanner.
Im getting a new memory card shortly and read somewhere its a good idea to use the built in format option to format the new card when I put it in.
It seems to be a widely reported issue but it doesnt happen very often.
Any suggestions.
Thanks.
So I rooted my s7 lastweek then flashed the sock rom to get back to unroot. I loaded all my app back and now when the screen goes to standby I'll see sometimes the 2 soft buttons at the bottom light up and off, then when I try to wake the phone up I just get a blank screen for about 5-10secs then wakes up. It does this periodically and I cannot figure out what is happening.
Any thoughts?

I saw something about Samsung sd cards causing a hang from sleep
might check into that.
I know mine did with my 32 gb evo card ended up putting a sandisk in it and its fine now
I heard problems with Sandisk but I've been using this since i had the phone with no issues. I re flashed and format the card and now issues.
