How to flash custom roms. All methods - Blade General

Hi friends. I have a gen2 Dell xcd35 400mb ram froyo stock rooted with z4root modded for blade. I tried flashing cwm recovery latest 5.0.2.0 using rom manager, but whenever i booted in recovery using rom manager i got the stock recovery which stinks. So , i need your help in flashing any nice custom rom preferably cyanogenmod. So, how do i do it using windows or another method? And plz provide me the links for the drivers i need and yeah the stock recovery interface and the screenshot are vertically inverted:banghead:
Thanks in advance

I had same problem and here is solution.
You have to flash the cwm with zte blade customised app. Here is link for the flasher
http://android.modaco.com/topic/327215-recovery-clockworkmod-recovery-for-zte-blade-oledtft/
for some reason rom manager won't flash cwm.
I hope this helps

Orginal mt4g restore before flashing cm7

You must use a 2.x version of recovery to restore a Froyo rom. 3.x is for Gingerbread.

resotre 2.x recovery
i already installed the gingerbread recovery like he did, how do i revert back?
Lots of choices. I recommend using Fastboot, but you could also reinstall CM7 and use ROM Manager. I suppose if you had the 2.x image handy on SD you could also flash it from Recovery. But I haven't bothered to check this last.

Thanks I was wondering about that, would the lower recoveries be located in the Rom manager older recoveries section?

Got my vega

Finally got my vega today should i install modded stock before in instal cyanogen or should i just install cyanogen can someone point me in correct direction to tutorials please

Go with the moddedstock as that has clockwork pre built and from there you can flash cyanogen or vegacomb etc using the clockwork recovery.
But first make sure you have the drivers sorted.
For a guide to flashing the moddedstock and driver installation see myadventvega.co.uk. For using clockwork then search xda and you will find multiple threads and replies explaining the steps.
Im cool with clockwrk etc as my hd is rooted. Iv downloaded modded stock and installed drivers from site is there a tut on flashing modded stock?

Reinstall the original rom via the windows installer.
You can find instructions and the needed files on the zte website.

[Q] Loki vs Rom Manager

Hi,
I have ROM Manager on my rooted S4-1337 by AT & T. I want to install Graviton. Part of the instructions suggest using Loki. Is that step necessary if I have ROM Manager?
Thank you for your time.
Do not use Rom Manager to flash roms. Use a custom recovery.
I would encourage you to understand what you're doing before you proceed.
Cheers
Never use ROM Manager. Evar! Lol
