Task29 clears everything meaning there wont be a rom on your phone then you go on from there, magldr 1.13 etc there are guides within the forum that will get you through it like this for example http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948
EDIT: oh and if its an sd build windows is still there, so basically you wont see android until you boot it from your sd
well for naw i see that i will never sell the hd2 ..........he can do everything

Cant really recommend roms as what might be best for me might not be for you, so id just read around HERE and see what you might like test a few and if you install them correct you wont have a problem with half of them, some are still in beta so not stable for every day use, look at these 3, these have been up long so most possible the most stable Rom 1 Rom 2 Rom 3 Enjoy...

He posted in the right place. Development forums are only for posting builds/roms. But you can ask questions inside of a already posted topic about said build.

What exactly do u mean doesnt need an sdcard. Meaning doesnt run off of the sdcard? If so any desire build in the nand development section will work. Pick one that suits you best. Try segios build...its really nice.

AFAIK unless you have a 1024 HD2, you end up with something like 5mb free space on a DesireHD build without using an SD card. This is possibly why it hung (hanged?). I remember reading that if you do have a 1024 HD2 then Desire HD builds will work without an SD card.
Anyway, desire ROMs are small enough and there are others out there. I'm currently using a Hyperdroid GB ROM and I can remove the SD card without issues. Phone reports...:
Storage Space:278mb
Free Space: 84.85mb.
...I have loads of apps installed as well.
Hope this helps
Hyperdroid build ->http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=918899
This is what I use ATM
DesireZ/HD -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=962600
I used this ROM for a long time. Good build that uses SD card as data partition unless you are a lucky one with a 1024HD2
thanks for ur answer so there is nothing to do with the leo512
but i have another question to ask
is there a desire rom that have the newer sense found in the desire hd roms?
thanks for ur help currently using derie stock rom by dft
There won't be as that's what makes the DHD ROM's different compared to the Desire ones. Why would you wanna remove the SD card during boot anyway? Btw, I recommend the DHD Revolution build by Arif-ali. Seems to work quite well.
Currently I am running gauner's dhd rom and do not need an SD card and have 50 something MB free internal memory...
Edit: EU Leo with 512MB
Internal : 221 MB / Free: 57,5 MB

Hey guys, was just looking through the NAND section for android and couldn't find any ROMs which are desire HD based and do not use D2SD (apart from gauner's)
Was just wondering if I overlooked any?
Cheers
I suggest you to try the rafpignas' hd build with data2ext if you dont want to use the d2ext just dont create an ext partition.

Overlooking would imply that you actually looked. Several say either Desire HD or DHD in their title.

Well i guess you should go with old sense (like desire, evo...) and not the new sense (desire HD or Z)
rafdroid light or gauners
Good place to start as a newbie.

Why would a lie about looking through 2 and half pages of a forum?
And I put the question in the development section because there was plenty of others in there and i figured since my question is specifically about NAND dev i'll post in there, If you don't have something constructive to reply you needn't bother.
Anyway, thanks to others, I'm using an EU HD2 which is why I'd need data2ext for most of the ROMs, and I hardly found any which don't use that.
I do like gauner's but for some reason my texts keep getting wiped off the phone without warning, i just open sms and they're gone..
Im new to all this...
Im looking for android for my hd2..tons of roms here?
what one is the most working and stable?
does the phone need to be rooted for all the apps?
if so how do I do that
thanks for all the help
welcome!
i would advise you to have a look around the forum first, use search button more often, chances are, your question has been answered already.
Anyway, follow this step-by-step giude and you'll be running android in no time at all and remember to read up and search before asking questions.
Yeah there is actually too much choice for the HD2 lol.
Most of the ROM's are stable now so you don't really have to look around for stable builds.
Use that guide if you don't know how to do anything with the HD2. Oh and all the android ROM's are already rooted.

If ur looking for the best SD android build, in my opinion and own experience, HD2one !!!!!
Fast, stable, less battery consumption and better reception! With no htc sense but great interface though!

HD2one? what you mean by that?
I have really enjoyed many of the 2.2.1 Sense roms. I am currently running a few of them and for the most part it seems like most of the newer roms (since about mid feb) have generally good battery life. And I have yet to find a rom that is not rooted.

clockwork allows you to install time from a zip file on card, backup and recover settings, and other features..It is not mandatory to have it installed for many ROMS which can be installed using Usb flash option on MAGLDR. on the HyperROM thread if I'm not mistaken there is a good tutorial.

So tomorrow I have a brand new HTC HD2 from T-MOUSA arivving brand new. Of course the first thing I wanna do is root it, after I figure out which rom to choose. Before I do that are there some things I should do first right out the box?
1. Using TMO? (if not - unlock)
2. Flash to custom firmware.
3. ... of course, install Android SD and forget about WM

Custom firmware is custom but it is still Windows Mobile (WM). So if you flash a custom ROM you still have WM but just a way more smooth WM ROM.
Flash it with mgldr then clockwork mod then android nand flash. I like tween typhoon rom

Sorry everyone I totally forgot about this thread. Well when I got the phone the SPL or the radio didn't match the prerequisites it needed to match for the rom I wanted (HD2 CoreDroid DHD V1.6). After 36 hours of reading and researching I figured out I needed to flash a stock rom in order to get the prerequisites I needed. After finding the stock rom, on TMOUS website, I installed in it installed the new radio and spl, the same ones I needed. So I followed the guide and installed HardSPL and then MAGLDR then flashed it with HD2 CoreDroid DHD V1.6 and it worked flawlessly. I would highly recommend this rom for the HD2.

Nice ROM choice there! Your HD2 is going to surprise you a lot more than the newer devices and their surface-appealing specs.

Yes you are using a Froyo ROM, Gingerbread has several advantages over Froyo, one being a better keyboard. Also there is a lot of apps that do not run on Froyo but do on Gingerbread.
hi if i have androied on my phone htc hd2 can i just down load a new rom and install it?
You need to be reading around in the HD2 Android forum:

Yes, all you need to do is download and install another ROM. There are instructions for installation in whatever ROM you choose to install. There are a lot to choose from.

Really, you can't ask that kind of question around here and expect a serious reply. Try Tytung, that was previously recommended to you. Or Hyperdroid, or AmeriCan Android.
Try any or all of them.
