so i have some questions that hopefully you guys can help me with
right now i have android nand on my phone, and i would love to try this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=953078
but how do i do it to install this rom? i have all the requirements ready, but what do i do about android and everything? like cwm recovery and all that. would still be there? or i would have to start from 0?
thanks!
you must erase (Task29) android, install WM6.5 first.... then you install WP7
all WP7 ROM's have same installation procedure
Rom install
- Flash HSPL 2.08 if needed
- Flash MAGLDR 1.13
- in MAGLDR use:
* 10. Services, 4. UseLast24NAND
* 10. Services, 5. ClearSD MDR
* 5. USB Flasher and run DWI.exe to flash ROM
- do hard reset (Settings - About - reset my phone)

Hi i tried installing this rom [25.JUN.11][MAG/cLK]TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 Nightly v3.4.0[2.3.4][A2SD][tytung r10], but i cant load it. This is my first time flashing. I've carried out this way to install.
1. installed stock wm6.5 rom
2. installed 2.08.HSPL
3. installed Task29
4. installed 2.15.50.14
5. installed Magldr 1.13
6. installed MAGLDR 150MB System/5MB Cache (ClockworkMod Recovery v3.0.2.5)
7. Install TyphooN_CM7_v3.4.0-cLK.zip with CWM
8. when rebooting, is stated " nand kernel open failed "
Can anyone teach me how to do this correctly?
Thanks

yep install the TyphooN_CM7_v3.4.0-magldr.zip instead of the one you did
you cannot use a clk rom on magldr...correction you can but its not as easy to setup

no.
clk is not the same as magldr.
see above for correct directions.
first i must say that i have a little experience with installing win 6.5 and android nand roms. I have HSPL 2.08 version and radio 2.15.50.14 version.
lately i installed a miui clk rom and it worked o.k, after a while the phone stuck and i pooled out the battery and after that the rom and the clk was wiped out.
since then i made task29 and installed the radio 2.15.... again then the clk but could not install the cwm because from some reason the pc didnt recognize the phone Through the usb port, so i've installed the magldr 1.13 and then the cmw but now it won't start up (the cwm) and it give me an error, so i decided to try and install win 6.5 again but the phone won't start up.
is anybody know what is wrong or if my phone ended its life on this plant?
my suggestion would be to download hd2 toolkit. task 29 phone then start over. flash magldr then go to maglr option for usb flasher and repartition your phone for your rom of choice. install rom zip on sd card and install

done that with the toolkit and first it didn't flash the task29(usb erorr) after some Struggles i made it but than it didn't flash the magldr Through the dft (again usb erorr) so i flashed it with ruu and than the and the rest is written above.
the toolkit isn't working and on the dft i get alot of usb and connection erorrs, but with ruu flash i dont have this erorrs.
now is it hardware or software problem?
bump!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi,i have a big problem: my HD2 when I install the HSPL 2.08/3.03,then i do a task 29,finally i install clk/magldr don't boot.
it remain at the htc white screen.
How can i do? i try a lot of time, but every time i must reinstall the original rom (1.66) beacause with clk and magldr the HD2 don't boot
For NAND Android ROM; You must flollow this sequence;
first check your device if it is 2.08.HSPL,
1. do task29
2. install radio rom 2.15.50.14
3. install magldr 1.13
4. do recovery 5.0.2.6(or clk)
5. Format your sd, create ext3(or ext4) partition
6. do clear cache and dalvik cache.
7. Choose your android ROM .zip file and copy it to your sdcard, load into magldr recovery and enjoy...

Hey guys,
I have been enjoying the blazing speeds of windows phone 7 on my HD2 but now, for personal reasons, i want to go back to NAND android.
Are these steps the right ones?
1. Task29
2. Install MAGLDR
3. Install CWM
4. Partition SD card for A2SD(it will wipe it too)
5. Install the .zip NAND android rom
Are these steps ok?
Thanks
Utility task29 Resettable evidence of a BAD blocks in NAND memory, and as a result - after the OS Android you get a machine with a set of bugs - "not loaded", "reboot", etc.
To avoid this, you should stop using task29 all.
Since MAGLDR you have already installed, install CWM with the utility HD2Toolkit, format the sd-card and already install the. zip NAND android ROM.
try the links below, you can even triple boot now
many people suggest installing native windows mobile before flashing other roms.
Hey,
I love my HD2, but the windows not so much.. I'm trying to put Android on it but I am too confused in how to do it.
I have looked into it for a few hours, but I have absolutely 0 knowledge about phones ): and I don't understand it.
Whenever I look in a thread for a guide, I get linked to another thread for another guide, another, and another. This goes from the rom, to a magldr, clk and hdsp and all those things.
Can anybody just tell me in what order to do these? I'll look up guides and such myself, but I have no idea which guide to follow first...
Thanks alot, Kevin.
Okay, here how it goes:
HSPL 2.08 & 2.15 Radio
Magldr
Recovery (such as CWM or TWRP)
Your ROM.
cLK
Recovery (such as CWM or TWRP)
Your ROM.
Radio 2.15 is not necessary, but you need a radio that supports MAGLDR. But 2.15 and 2.12 are the most popular.
So you should first install HSPL 2.08, after that install a radio. Then, choose a bootloader (either cLK or MAGLDR). Then flash a recovery (I recommend CWM 5.0.2.6 if you are willing to install to NAND.). Finally you flash the rom from within the recovery.
You can look for the differences between cLK and MAGLDR, but generally, the differences are:
MAGLDR:
*You can't charge the device while off.
*Supports RMNET Data connection (stable)
*Supports Windows Phone.
cLK:
*Supports charge while off.
*Supports recovery repartitioning without a PC.
*Uses PPP data connection. (Said to be fast, but it's unstable)
download - magldr, nand toolkit, hspl4, radio 2.15.50
into bootloader (stripey screen)
use hspl4 to set 2.08.hspl
into bootloader
flash magldr
into magldr - usb flasher
run nand toolkit - may need to hit the button marked drivers if you have trouble connection, , or install the PC app 'myphoneexplorer' (no need to run it) which also sets the correct drivers.
in the nand toolkit select the desired partition size (the rom you want to flash will tell you what size)
click magldr repartition
--- cwm is now installed
reboot - magldr - 8 ad recovery
cwm will now start
choose advanced - format sd - choose an ext size (512 or 1024 should be fine to get started, 2048 if you have a large card) - (This WILL delete the whole sdcard so backup anything you wanna save)
using an sd card reader, or cwm - mounts and storage - mount sd card to copy the rom.zip you wanna flash to the sd card
restart - magldr - 8 adrecovery - cwm - flash zip from sd card - choose zip from sd card - navigate to the rom.zip file and off you go.
reboot
done.
it should take less time than it took me to write that out, once you get the hang of it.
Thanks a bunch to both of you, really helpful
Oh nevermind, just took a while to boot
