Cm7 now official. - Epic 4G General

CyanogenMOD7 is now official.
Congrats to all the devs who made this possible with their tons of hours of labor put in.
When the thread's op gets updated we should all vote to have it submitted to the portal, as this is truly an amazing development.
The devs had to literally develop a way to change the entire filesystem and partition map on our phones safely and effectively not to mention several other crazy issues.
Let's show our thanks!

oh nice, I just saw it. Checked the thread, checked cm's site, the forum, etc. and didn't see anything.

Can someone give me the apk for the OFFICIAL CM7.

Is this bug list still true?
The current buglist:
Outbound calls initiated from a bluetooth handsfree kit do not wake the phone
Charging notification LED does not light until full charge is reached
WiFi is unstable
Overlay for Video Recording
Video playback for certain encoders
Wimax

Charging notification LED does not light until full charge is reached - still issue
WiFi is unstable - works now
Overlay for Video Recording - works now
Video playback for certain encoders - not sure
Wimax - might not ever work
update:
Charging notification LED does not light until full charge is reached - still issue - no a issue anymore just noticed well copying over rc0 that the led light was on

Not really , The final product has not yet been released.
Sam definitely got a head start though many props to him for kicking feature into motion.
Yes it is.
I believe this only works on sense though :/
Yes it only works on sense roms that already have stock HDMI working. Orrebmas has also stated that he will work on an ASOP version when this is complete.

The final products have not be released so knockout punch has not yet occurred.
Props to Orrebmas for this...but can we not make it like there's a competition between Teamwin and Orrebmas? Orrebmas' main focus was HDMI so of course he would be the first out of the gate with it. Teamwin's goal was to get Wimax working on the Evo, and have always stated that it was 4G first, then HDMI.
I'm sure Shinzul and Orrebmas would like nothing more than to spend their time doing what they love best, and that's coding, not trying to manage the bickering that has developed surrounding this. #thatisall

No. This kernel is a modified netarchy version.
"This was created by gutting out one of netarchy's kernels and replacing the files needed/removing everything else."

Im using it. Works great. Fps isn't perfect because your outputing 2 displays. 1 at 800x480 and another at 1280x720. He says that 3d games work better than anything else because the mirroring app uses the 2d engine and the game uses the 3d engine
Excellent work, Asphalt was super cool! I noticed a couple of things, 1)WiFi didn't work when mirroring, had to turn it off to get a connection. 2) issues when competing with regular HDMI service, eg using mirror and videos from native video player.
Arch media was pretty good playing .avi files, not perfect but quite serviceable (on sync but only good pic).
Thanks dude, awesome work!

I had loaded it on my vibrant yesterday.
Overall I was surprised how well it ran honestly.
The things that I noticed that didn't work:
call,
wifi,
my gps didn't work,
I did not notice any sort of data activity.
Time and date where off a bit for me.
Sound did not work.
Just about every app force closed too.
Home, menu, and back button where working for me, search didnt tho.
Music Player did work technically (minus the lack of sound) - when changing songs or menus inside the player, a red border would flash around the outside of the screen.
and turning the phone off just caused it to reboot, had to pull the battery eventually.

Lots of post-EG22 builds

Don't know if it's important, but I just noticed there are 4 post EG22 builds.
EG29
EG30
EH02
EH03
I reckon it's about done, eh?
EH04 and EH05 too.
yes, judging by these builds it seems like they are almost done and doing small stuff like making sure apps are working as they should and optimizing code and such. I remember when i had my hero they always sped up build rate before release (2.1).
Oh yeah, I see the EH04 & EH05 now, but how can that be? That would be tomorrow & the next day's builds... Has Samsung figured out how to bend time?

i wounder that with their new no bloatware policy will this update be pretty good compared to 2.1 and 2.2

With the rate of release, I suspect they are stripping out the debug features. Hopefully it's soon, I'd like to see GB on the Epic before I plunge off to the Within or the Epic 4G Touch as they are now calling it.

In development you have UAT QA which leads to this multiple builds drama. Everytime the QA tech kicks back the code the devs go back recompile the fix and they have to stamp it with a new build number.

Can somebody make an cwm file which removes the battery low indicator for the camera?

Can somebody make a cwm flashable file which removes the battery low indicator for the camera, camcorder and video player? I believe K0oanne did it before. It would be nice to have for our phone again since we have the official gingerbread rom. It would be nice to merge this with the shutter sound off tweak and the auto focus off sound tweak.

Touchscreen works in ICS now (Alpha rom available)

Looks like PreludeDrew has figured out how to make the touchscreen work on the Evo 4G, for Ice Cream Sandwich, according to his tweet;

Just thought I'd pass along the good news. No mention of roms ready just yet, but this looks to be a fantastic step in the right direction.

Me neither. I am enjoying it.
I haven't had any reboots, but it runs really slow for me, once thats taken care of I'll give it a test run for a few days of use
Don't forget to turn off vibrate on touch/ keypress in the sound and keyboard settings. Helps a little but still lags.
Hoping they closed the alpha thread because the beta is close.
Aside from the camera and lag, most everything works. Typing this connected to my wifi while listening to Pandora on my bluetooth headphones.
