The OFFICIAL release date APRIL/May. It's NOT a rumor.
If they release it sooner, at the right time or later that's another story.
Whatever SE says about their products is official, even if it becomes true or not.

ice cream sandwich launched..........
I saw a Samsung on CNET running ICS, looks very promising. I wish it would allow us to delete added bloatware SE sends during updates. I hated the reviewers take on ICS, stupid b#@ch!
The problem I see is with micro SD storage; don't know if they will modify that problem. I see with Sony S tablet, doesn't recognise SD card storage.

than again I dont know
It's real ?
Please let it be for REAL! That version is the same as the ICS of other Xperia.

Everyone wondering that website is a good source it has listed a huge amount of firmware before release.
So mabye they pushed it out then canceled it ? Or they actually are bringing a ics update but don't put your hops up.
this is something they leaked before - http://www.xperiablog.net/2011/12/0...-neo-3-0-1-b-0-285-certified-for-xperia-play/
what !!!
please don't kidding me again !
PTCRB is the one that certified all the firmware. If it is passed by PTCRB, then it is ready for release. Correct me if i'm wrong though

You are correct. This is an ICS version (4.1.#) so looks good for play. Has anyone contacted Sony to find out more yet? ??

i've tried to contact Sony but just cant connect to their chat support..
maybe someone else can try and report here..
When you see Fw appear on that site it's normally around 2 weeks till it gets rolled out. But we need to find out if it is real deal. Doubt this is a typo or mistake so looking good so far, will get on to Sony see if we can dig up some more info
Sent from my LT26i using xda premium
Sony support chat seems to be down all i get is a white screen.
Thanks a lot
Maybe they've resolved the touchpad issue with other devs (Gameloft, EA etc).
Well i give up.. i just cant seem to connect to Sony chat support..
but i hope it's ICS because 4.1.* seems to be ICS on other Sony phone.
and i got bored with GB..
It is an ICS FW that is on that list same as the 4.0.4 release for arc. just wrote a quick article if want to see the arc version number (screenshot) http://www.xperiagamer.com/Blog3/ics-for-play-gets-certified.html
woot!!
hopely it will roll out soon
SO excited

Well we are moving up from 4.1.B.0.# to 4.1.B.1.# so expect something more than bug fixes, but nothing major.

I agree with DdcCabuslay, maybe, we'll just get Walkman app, like Xperia J and such, that would be really nice. As long as they give a smoother UI, I'm happy.
Yeh., the walkman should be great. Getting rid off the bugs ported
Actually, didnt sony promise clearbass (walkman) on these 2011 devices a time ago (before ics release) ?

White balance setting coming to Z1

Hi guys here are some good news regarding the "yellow tint" problem in our Z1s (I hope it'll make affected screens look the same as the "white ones" )
We will add a setting for adjusting the white balance for the display in an upcoming update for Z1. I don't have any date for when the update will be available but it's planned for the beginning of next year.

Awesome, only thing bugging me is the 'for an update planned for beginning of next year'. Hope that doesn't mean 4.3 is postponed till then... (Maybe it means 4.3 in december and 4.4 beginning next year... can't imagine though)
Yes, 4.3 this month and 4.4 next year is what has been promised to us by Sony

High/mid range? It's just mid range. High/mid range = Xperia ZR in 2013..
Anyways rallying for support for external causes are disallowed in XDA. Hope this thread gets locked.
