Goodbye dear friends & followers

Hey out there,
just want to tell you that i will sell my X10 now and won't work on it anymore.
I thought it's fair to say goodbye to X10 Forums, since i spent so much time here in the last year
I will miss some aspects of this X10-Forums on XDA and want to say thanks to all new friends and good developers here! (Won't list any here, i think the people meant will know that i meant them )
Because i just can afford 1 phone at a time i have to sell my X10 to get a new one. My actual plan is to get a DHD (or similar) and switch to Pyramid when it's released in Germany. (If anyone wants my device give me a PM *joking* )
I hope that i will meet some of you again here on Forums!
So now it's offical and final!

Well, you've left with a big present you gave to us, that's for sure
It's a pitty that you're leaving right after you made it able to flash your own kernel and it's definitely a drawback on any further progresses to it. But I think anyone can understand you nonetheless.
Any chance you'll still be helping the dev team with anything that doesn't need an actual X10 in your pocket?

+1 on your DHD plan.
I did that switch a little longer ago.
Best idea I ever had.
Mine is already running Android 2.3.3. Or 2.2.1 @a max of 1.8Ghz if I like to.
Battery lasts for three days or a linpack score of >60 and quadrant of >3000 speak for themselfs

I moved onto the DHD earlier last year and guess what...
I missed my x10 so much that i got another one and got rid of the DHD, so im back here again lol...
I wish you all the best pal and hope that you achieve the best possible in your studies!!!
And dont forget to pop around time to time and you never know the BL may get broken one day and we could use your brains...

This is so untrue i'm sorry but with a battery of 1230mAh 3 days are IMPOSSIBLE
I've had this phone for 5 days, and it barely last 1.5 day

Goodbye X10 family

Hi,
Some of you may have seen me around, sadly the time has come to move on. I have a Galaxy S for a while and wont be around these parts as much, i will still pop by and say high now and then though.
I just wanted to say good bye to you all and thanks to all the dev's and user's who have helped me.
To many of you to single out so I made this post,

The only way to really brick a phone is during a bad radio flash..
Just check your md5 sums and make sure to not flash either new boot file or radio if you have less than 30% battery or with the back cover off (so the battery doesn't fall out)

I have owned many phones and read one quick tutorial and you're set.
Plus the fact you can do much more makes it all worth it.

I know I said my good bye to you through pm already but I thought I'd say it again. I'm sure you'll get much more satisfaction from galaxy being the techy guy that you are and I'm sure in less than a week you'll be on the cyanogenmod nightlies lol
Also I don't know if I ever did thank you proper for the various bits of advice over time you have given me, and also when I put together that tutorial for how to flash 2.2 beta 4 with your help all that time ago.
I wish you the very best for the future and don't be a stranger and your always very welcome to my Facebook group and continue being a mod there

Goodbye X10, you rocked my world

I'm leaving this forums, since I got a Nexus S.
I wanna thank all the great devs who make a phone like the x10 shine.
Without them, I would be still stuck on a 2.1 laggy xperience. Nonetheless, the x10 opened a whole new world in mobile phones and Android.
You will be never forgotten.

Did you bury your X10 in a cemetery and all
or you just bought a new phone?
I know how you feel, I'm still pretty attached to my X10 even though I got an Arc S.
PS: That being said, let the "scoobysnacks hysteria" begin!!

Man, even if i get a new phone i wont throw out my x10, i rather throw out my galaxy first

x10 is an awesome device, too bad that SE let it die fast.
I spent 1 year and 4 months with it until the battery died (got a new one and the phone is rocking again) however got an optimus 3D and just can say, I LOVE 3D!!!

Problem with x10 is SE played safe and cheaped out on a lot of things that were standart that would have made the x10 last longer

x10 is fighting

I love my X10, I got into the android world and never forget

Is my first phone with Android. A fighter, not never left me.

So do I.
Got myself a Galaxy Note, but I'll come often to check on some great rom, I guess I am also quite attached to X10.

Bricking the X10.. funny but oddly funny..

When i first joined XDA i had this fight with Fisidox and SVTmook " think it was svtmook"
We had a fight about bricking and semi bricking ect...
After owning both the x10, x10 mini pro, SGS2 and now i have gotten ASUS Transformer Prime just today... i have learned so much.
One thing i remember is SVTmook saying dude you can't brick a x10.. he was right... it's damn hard to brick a x10. hardly had my transformer for a day and i had to re-flash to stock.
I can say today that i learned allot from you guys.. i'm in a way thankful that i owned a x10... because it has shown me everything android is not supposed to be.
But has shown me a true XDA family, True great minds working together.
The x10 has been one hell of a ride.. i have been along side users here for quite a while. i'm happy i have been apart of the journey of the x10.
P1LoT, MrClown and Colosus.. you guys were great mods.. that took a hammering and i thank you for everything you have done for the x10 community.

To the rest of you i say thank you.. thank you for making my day interesting... every second well spent. i don't care if you trolled me.. i don't care if i was the troll.. thank you and sorry for being brutally honest.
If there is anything else i can say enjoy your device.. enjoy it.. not many people have the blessing of doing what we do and how we do it.. a modded device is a godlike weapon from which no witch can recover.. it's a tool.

That's the best post I have ever read.
Everything I have been through with this device starting from early mornings checking for updates on XDA to an "ungodly" hours at night.
Great journey, loved to be part from it.

Remember back in the day when the x10 only had double tap, and no pinch to zoom..
hahaha it really was a failure on 1.6. Without the pressure that was put on SE to update the x10, and the brilliant work these devs on XDA have done, the x10 would of been a MASSIVE disaster...
Anyway good luck with your future devices Omega. All the best.
I always think what would of happened if I bought the SGS instead of the x10.
Better phone no doubt, but nowhere near as much fun. If I had the choice to go back and remake that choice, i'd go the x10 again

Yeh I feel the same way. The Droid RAZR forums are much more boring than the x10's. Even though the RAZR is a more superior device the x10 has made me an addict,
Xperia x10(Feralabs Rom) After trying all roms it was my Fav.
Now on the RAZR.

I got a TF101 in December. ICS was supposed to have been released for it already and now Asus keeps giving different answers. Now the TF forum is blowing up with the "OMG where the F is ICS?!!" threads. It reminds me of the "good old days" of everyone *****ing and moaning about x10 fw updates... It definitely builds character and brings the interesting forumers out of the woodwork! And I am a lot less worried about it this go-round!

what i was pointing out was even after adopting several devices.. different hardware ECT... still i have not yet bricked any of my other devices.
X10 died because i pushed her way too hard. "so not actually a brick due to flashing"
This is also due to a effort by developers to keep it as sane as possible when it comes to flashing.
