Adios buddies

Sorry for being an idiot in the middle of this celebration, now that X10 is getting officially Gingerbread...
I have a broken heart right now. My X10 was stolen this morning.
I didn't have an insurance plan so they can't give a new one... I already went to the police, but nothing...
You see it guys? How ironic the life can be sometimes. My X10 is stolen the same day Gingerbread is officially announced...
Guys, Im very broken-down, Im really depressed. Hope not bothering with this thread, but I only wanted to let you know, and give you an advise: take care a lot of your X10 and enjoy it now more than anything.
Congrats to SE, and for this great decision, Im gonna really consider to get Neo or XPlay at the end of this year.
And thanks all the devs for all their wonderful work. I learned a lot about Android and I really enjoyed it.
Also, thanks to all guys that helped me and share my point of view. And thanks to those who were against me too, at the end it was good to debate.

Report it to your carrier. It's pretty obvious where your phone is being used to them, since they have the IMEI number. And, if they can't get it back, they can at least ban the IMEI from the network, making it useless for the guy who stole it!

Guys, thanks for your support. Im much better now, my girl and my friends have bring me back. I won't get back my X10, I know it, but life goes on, doesn't it?
Im still kinda sad, I really miss my Xperia... But hey, there are good news; now that SE has given a good step and took the right decision, Im looking at Neo or XPlay as I said before, but I have a special interest in Neo (I don't really like Arc). I calculate Im gonna have it at the end of this year, or probably before, I still don't know.
And yes, I already reported my X10 to my carrier, I asked for blocking the IMEI, hope that works.
But I still say bye 'cause I can't participate for now on this forum since I don't have a X10 anymore. See you later, future Neo/Xplay owners

Sorry about the insurance bro; Telcel only accepts "losses with violence", ie. you need to be mugged in order for the device insurance to be applicable.

really sorry to hear about that m8 last summer someone broke my car window and stole my SE P990...Although it was an old phone and had no particular value, i know how you feel..Heads up and i hope they bust whoever did this and beat the **** outta him!

Hi,
Some of you may have seen me around, sadly the time has come to move on. I have a Galaxy S for a while and wont be around these parts as much, i will still pop by and say high now and then though.
I just wanted to say good bye to you all and thanks to all the dev's and user's who have helped me.

The only way to really brick a phone is during a bad radio flash..
Just check your md5 sums and make sure to not flash either new boot file or radio if you have less than 30% battery or with the back cover off (so the battery doesn't fall out)

I have owned many phones and read one quick tutorial and you're set.
Plus the fact you can do much more makes it all worth it.

I know I said my good bye to you through pm already but I thought I'd say it again. I'm sure you'll get much more satisfaction from galaxy being the techy guy that you are and I'm sure in less than a week you'll be on the cyanogenmod nightlies lol
Also I don't know if I ever did thank you proper for the various bits of advice over time you have given me, and also when I put together that tutorial for how to flash 2.2 beta 4 with your help all that time ago.

Tell me about it . I became so addicted of being here and flashing new ROMs every other day I couldn't get into IITs and didn't get a good branch in a good NIT. Going to try again this year.

hahaha you have done way more than me and im an IT so yeah, my hats off and i considere you a "dev" even if you only know some trick and know hows, thats more that i can do for the android community

Goodbye wildfire's mates!

So, it's time for an upgrade also for me. I just ordered an xperia U for 29€ (really! a dual core for 29€! with "Vodafone you" points).
These days are going to be the last days for my wildfire (probably I will give it to my brother, I can't sell this phone after all the time I spent on it ).
I still remeber the day I flashed my first custom rom (and went into bootloop, forgot to wipe data, lol :laugh: ) and the time I spent to try different things on it, just for the pleasure of giving something new to willy.
Thanks to everyone who helped me in this adventure, I hope you liked the work I shared here on xda.
A special thanks goes also to lo2ay, who continued my lewaos port, and to KoolSavas, that helped me with the JoyOS port. :good:
I will miss you all. :crying:
