[Q] [ROM] Cyanogenmod 7 call sound low - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

Hi guys
I have problem with my Ideos.
I cant hear people when i call because the volume of call is very low. I've got it set to maximum but it is still unhearable. On stock rom it was OK but after flashing to CM7 its really bad. Is it possible to fix it ? how?
My CM7 version is cm7-111128-32final (and i cant ask in ROM thread because of my first post on forum)
Thanks (and sorry for my bad english its not my native language)

Q. Any fix for robot voice, background noise & mic gain on nand roms?

Anyone suffering from robot voice, background noise and/or high mic gain?
I turn off audible touch tones in sound settings to avoid robot voice after the phone is rebooted.
In addition, I have deleted *.acdb files in /etc/firmware/ and pasted LeTama's htcleo.acdb file(old audio file) in the directory.
If the remote party still hears high background noise/sound when I call, do I need to change my radio rom as well?
Plz help me if somebody knows how to fix this.
I'm a TMOUS HD2 user & radio rom is 2.15.50.14.
Thx in advance.

I assume that the results varies depending on which rom you flash. Trials & errors.
Hopefully it works for you too.
My current rom is Rafdroid hd v4.0 and this 99% DHD stock rom rules!
Everything works flawlessly as expected after clean installation.
More stable, faster and better battery performance than previous version, I think.
But unfortunately I've experienced robot voice & high mic gain with this rom so audio related files were replaced to old audio files & it worked for me.
No robot voice & high mic gain at all when I flashed Hyperdroid GBX V7 rom.
Sorry for borrowing ur thread for a bit..
I haven't flashed any NAND ROMs yet but will do it very soon. Is there robotic vioce issue in every Andriod NAND ROMs? Coz i do call a lot! :/
I have flashed some different sd build roms & nand roms since last October but never flashed radio rom. According to my experience, some roms were ok from 1st boot but others had robotic voice and/or too much mic gain.
So, I think you should try some roms & find the best one for your device. Good luck!

GPC PureGingerbread's latest release fixes the problem. Sadly he's discontinued his release on this forum but links are available in the thread still.

I also enjoyed iamgpc's gingerbread rom but no more update is expected on this forum.
So, I think Hyperdroid gbx v7(non sense build) and Rafdroid hd v3.2(sense build) are the best roms for daily use in terms of speed, stability & battery performance.

x10i in-call volume

hi guys, i knows there posts regarding this but they dont seem to be goin anywhere, i replaced my speaker today on x10i thinking it would fix the issue but now its worse than before , and i aint stripping it down to put the old one back in, so now i know its deffo software related..
also im looking for information on .csv files
theres a file called audiopara.csv which i read can be edited to give louder volume, does anyone know how to do this???
also would it help if i upgraded to 2.2 or 2.3 just now?? can anyone recommend a good rom for it???
or will i have to just wait.....
thanks in advance guys
.
hello mate, the in-call volume is fixed with the custom kernel:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1112745
if you wanna change the stock rom i sugest the erick´s 2.1 rom if you care about the camera.
if you don´t, wolfbreak´s 2.2 and trip´s rom are very good, and you can also try android 2.3 with j´s rom
i hope this helps.
Hey guys did anybody found a solution for in-call volume on our new 2.3.3 GB ? I saw the custom kernel thread but that doesn't work on stock GB.Could someone came with a solution for this ?

This question is perfectly suitable for this section.
Fully wipe you data and flash the ROM again. Backup if necessary. It could also be a hardware problem so you could preferably take it to the store and ask them for help, (but downgrade to default ROM if needed). Did you have this problem when you had the default ROM.
I'm having this problem too! On Stock, everything was fine and on SwiftDroid, it's too less
I also have quiet recordings in RC4. I don't think this is hardware related because on A2.1 it was ok and harware didn't change
The record volume on my device is enough to understand dialogues
I didn't see any noticeable changes when upgrading from Official 2.1 to Swiftdroid.

[Q] [CM10][4.1.2] Best Build Till Date

hi,
Quarx latest build seems to be suffering from the so called "Ringtone Bug" and may be others too.
I was running the latest version of CM10 but this bug is really annoying....
and since i have had enough with the ring tone bug....i want to revert back to an older nightly....
Could anyone please tell me which was the most stable nightly that does not have the ringtone bug.... and had the best battery life....
I put this up as a thread coz it will be easier for others to find the best build as well...
Edit:
Also in-case there are any permutations combinations of any build for any kernel....please bring that to our attention too...it will help many.....
Thanks
Your's topic title break the rule best "ROM threads are prohibited on XDA" so find another title or make your ask into already opened topics.
Agree to refrase your question to "latest release with no ring tone bug.. " cause it has nothing to do with the best ROM. I think it's 22.12.

I haven't had the Ringtone bug on Quarx's rom for a while now, was running 30.12 until yesterday, when I upgraded to 10.01 and had no problems with that at all. Very usable rom IMO
Try the Defy full wipe script in the forums
I use it between all flashes, and it works a treat
FULL wipe, install latest Quarx and Gapps. Should hopefully be problem solved
I used to have the ringtone bug but after upgrading to 29/12 I don't have it anymore. Hope that helps
