hi, everyone i have a problem after flashing to official 2.3.5 rom beta v2 and i have some issues...
1.my phone bricked 2-3 times
2.after i reinstalled 2.3.5 although i put Clockwork Mod Recovery i can't get to recovery (volume up +power) or pink screen to change the recovery img again
3.can somebody tell me what to do so that i don't have bootlooping problems and make my phone more stable???
thank you in advance!!!!!!!!!!!
What happens when you try to boot to pink screen?
If the update starts, try removing your sd-card first.
Remember that you need this CWM recovery when you've updated to stock 2.3.
And by the way, one exclamation mark is enough...
i can't get to the pink screen because when i press volume up+down +power my phone opens normally and doesn't get in the pink screen
And you're holding in all 3 buttons until something happens? I need to hold the buttons down for a while, until the screen suddenly turns pink.
i 've done it before and i know how to do it the problem is after the last time that i put the 2.3.5 rom now i can't get in the recovery menu or the pink screen because even if i press volume up+power or volume up+volume down+power the phone starts normally instead of getting in the recovery menu or pink screen
Ok. Does it start the update if you have update.app in dload-folder on the sd-card?

Ive tried the volume down and volume and power but it wont work.... Any suggestions?
You are sure your phone is off and you:
Hold down the volume up and down with your left thumb and make sure there is a click feeling from both buttons and use your right hand to click on the power button?
I'm having the exact same problem. Have tried about 25 times to boot into recovery. Just does not work.
Pull the battery after every failed attempt took me about 2-3 tries. Before you do anything shut off phone pull battery then attempt to boot into recovery.
Yes, I'm doing that. The samsung screen comes up and if I release the buttons it does the normal boot up. If I keep holding the buttons the black screen with "vibrant" keeps coming on and off.
So far I discovered that it works perfectly if you hold the power button until after the Vibrant logo appears and then release the power button while still holding the both volume buttons. If you release the power button before the logo appears it will FAIL.
Only after the logo dissapears you can release the volume buttons.
In other words:
1-Press and hold both Volume buttons
2-Press and hold Power button
3-After Vibrant logo appears release Power button
4-Wait until Vibrant logo dissapears and then release Volume bottons
5-You should now be in recovery
Pito
Wow, I followed your directions step by step and still no luck! I wait till I the Vibrant logo to dissapear to release the volume buttons but it just boots up like normal. Thanks anyways! Is there another way of rooting my phone?
What I do as well is hold until the first logo dissapears and as soon as the second one appears release buttons. Then its in recovery.
Ive tried everything you all have said so far and I still cant get my phone into recovery mode. I was able to do it on my wife's vibrant but not on mine. Any suggestions?
Try getting quick boot from the market. It had an option to reboot into recovery. If your problem is just getting the button push right (i had real trouble with it at first) then this should work.

If you are rooted then Clockwork Recovery Mod has the ability to boot into recovery mode. Or you can turn on usb debugging and use adb. Start>Run>cmd and use "adb reboot recovery"

But now i cant get it recovery mod i am holding power and volume key appear ideos and its restarting clockwork mod not appearing what can i do to fix this iam really need a custom rom for overclocking.

Ok, So what you have to do is download clockwork recovery.img, copy that and replace it on the phone. Boot your phone, hold volume up + power and it will work.
If I were you I would download clockwork again.. probably it is corrupted.

Its my problem. How can i replace recovery.img again i cant reach the cust_backup directory
Please tell us again what you did, your first post does not explain that clearly.
Once again for copying a different recovery.img: Turn off the device; hold both the + and the - buttons and turn it on. Keep holding + and -, wait a few secs until the screen becomes purple. Then plug in the usb-cable.
Does the purple screen show up? Can you start Android with the stock-ROM that is installed now?
If the purple screen shows up and you get stuck there, try it out on another pc.

No there is no purple screen because i change original recovery.img with clockwork img. Yes i can start Android with stock rom i cant install new rom because i cant run clockwork mod. I Think my clockwork recovery.img is corrupted or something.
The purple screen should be displayed even if you deleted the recovery.img-file. If you can't reach that screen at all flash an official huawei-ROM, that should bring back the original recovery.img-file.
Please wait for another opinion before you install another ROM.
Yes, when you replace the img.. you will still have the purple screen available!!
For some reason I can't boot into recovery mode. Yesterday I tried to flash the PAC ROM but got stuck in the "PAC is loading" screen. I had to turn off and flash back to stock with RSD light. Now, I can't get into my recovery (TWRP 2.5.0.0). When I use adb to get to recovery I get a screen with a fallen over android with its hood open and a a red triangle with a exclamation mark in the middle. I've tried to re-flash TWRP but that doesn't change anything. I'm assuming this is some kind of error, anybody know what to do? I've also tried to use cwm but I can't get into that either.
Also, how do I not get stuck in that "PAC is loading" screen when flashing?

The easiest way to get into recovery is to power down, hold all three buttons and select recovery. Try wiping data after flashing PAC. Make sure your boot loader is unlocked.

couple of things:
1.) battery could be low, and thus unable to boot up. I would suggest plugging it in (outlet, not PC). let it sit for 15 minutes. you should see the battery charging screen. after waiting 15 minutes, try to get into recovery via power+volume up+ volume down, then select recovery
2.) doing the RSD could wipe the recovery - are you able to boot up normally into the ROM? if not, make sure you have all of the drivers installed on your PC, and re-read the installation instructions (I'm sure you already have, but sometimes going over them again might open your eyes up to something you forgot)
I'm not sure where it is, but see if you can boot into safemode (google search for it).
my only similar experience is when I tried to install a custom kernel on PAC, and nothing would display on my screen (despite me hearing notifications). I tried several times to get back into TWRP, but finally got it after pressing the three buttons, waiting about 10 seconds, pressing volume down one time, then volume up once (the pattern to get into recovery)
hope this helps.
RSD flashes your stock recovery again.
Hold volume up + down + power, wait for 5 seconds for the phone to power off.
Then hold the same, volume up + down + power to get into your menu screen, select adb fast boot and flash your recovery. (fastboot flash recovery YOUR_RECOVERY_FILE.img)
Power + Volume Down (-) = Reboot
During reboot:
Press and hold Volume Up (+) = Recovery
Press and hold Volume Down (-) = Fast Boot
Press and hold Volume Up (+) and Volume Down (-) = Boot Menu
Dear experts,
Phone model: Karbonn A9+
Rom: Custom Rom Hyperion Skyfall
When I hold the power button, the phone turns on and off, No problems with that.
However, when I press volume Up+Power, I get a green screen saying FASTBOOT at the top left corner and that’s it. Nothing happens from that point.
when I press volume Up+Power, I get a green screen and holding the buttons past that I get a red screen saying RECOVERY at the top left corner and that’s it. Nothing happens from that point.
However, when I press volume down+Power, I get a black screen saying ENTRY QPST DOWNLOAD at the top and that’s it. Nothing happens from that point.
I have to remove the battery to turn my phone off.
Moreover, I tried a factory reset erasing internal and external storage, after erasing when the phone is rebooted and gets stuck in the start-up screen. I removed the battery and powered on the mobile ,no problem at all the phone turns on but not resettted.
What I did?
Tried to install latest CWM through recovery, updated it but I pressed something instead of restart your device.
What should I do to make everything work again? I am a noob in Android, please be extra patient and illustrative
Many thanks in advance

I am facing the same issue...today i flashed "ClockWorkMod_Recovery_V6_-_Karbonn_A15.zip" . It was flashed successfully. But after that whenever I try to enter recovery mode using Power+ Volume up keys, it shows red screen... thats it....i do not see typical recovery screen menu. However the screen turns full white. Only option is to take out the battery and restart the phone.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP
Here's my problem.
I can't get into recovery by pressing the power up, home, power buttons. It says it's 'entering recovery', but then it gives another 'buzz' (like when the phone starts), and just reboots normally.
I used to be able to get into recovery with ROMManager, by selecting the 'boot into recovery'. Then I just got into my CWM and could do whatever I wanted. Now I can't do that anymore, probably because my device is not rooted atm (got CM12 on it though). I wanted to root it, but I can't get into recovery.
I already tried flashing TWRP with Odin (download mode does work), but that doesn't work either. I obviously searched google and XDA for the problem, and I saw suggestions for other phones, like updating the bootloader. But I can't find any information or files for updating the bootloader.

Reboots trying to go custom recovery are normal sometimes.
Lil guide for enter custom recovery (TWRP):
1. Power off your device completely.
2. Press and hold Volume Up, Home and Power buttons simultaneously.
3. Release only the Power button when the logo of Samsung in white appears (you will see little letters in blue and red on the top left of the screen).
4. You will see the blue logo of TWRP (pic attached) then and you can release all buttons and start to navigate for the custom recovery.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't think you understood my question. I know how to get into recovery when it all works. I've done it many times before. The problem is that it shuts down while booting into recovery, and then just reboots normally.
I only installed TWRP because CWM wouldn't work, but TWRP doesn't either. So I guess it has to do with how the device boots into recovery, regardless of what the recovery is.
Anyone? I kinda want to flash another ROM, but I'm unable to right now.

I don't think that's the problem. I have 0 issues with the power button. Also, when I try to boot into recovery, it actually says it's 'starting recovery'. Then it stops with a buzz and reboots.

may be one of the other push buttons.....
try to get into recovery with out pressing the power button and see if is possible...if so then the problem is coming from there.
