Hey everyone... I've made a review video of the leaked build for the Galaxy S II for Touchwiz ICS. It was ported to the NS4G.
Keep in mind it's just an early leaked build of Touchwiz ICS and I'm sure they'll be making more changes.
See the review video here:

Just read on Samsung Norway's Facebook page that ICS for the Note and the SII will be released at the end of march.
"Samsung planlegger å lansere Android Ice Cream Sandwich til Galaxy S II og Galaxy Note mot slutten av første kvartal i år. Når mer info kommer så legger vi det ut her på vår Facebook-side!"
English:
"Samsung is planning to release Android Ice Cream Sandwich for the Galaxy S II and the Galaxy Note at the end of Q1 this year. When we get more info, we'll post it here on our Facebook page!"

So.. now we know!
Yes!!! Cant wait.
Hmm, just noticed that i posted this in the Q&A section. Feel free to move it to General.
Not good news for me. I can't keep the same phone for 3 months! I'm sure I'll be back eventually though.
waiting for alpha release...
Yeah I wonder why we haven't seen a leak yet :-(

Hope so, cause after the 2.3.6 and La4 update when I go through the home screens they lag and jerk, they were so smooth and quick before the updates

I can't stay with the same partner for longer than 3 months either.
Whoops, wasn't the figure of speech I was going for.
I hate Samsung. They are doing this 4.0 firmware terribly slow. They don't care about us. All that interests them is money.
Why Huawei did 4.0 firmware so fast for 'Honor'?! Official and final release, but samsung can't even release alpha\beta of ICS! [mod edit - watch language].
I think Samsung Norway is just playing it safe.
Samsung announced Q1, why risk a backlash by promising a premature date. I highly doubt Samsung would choose to make such a statement through a Norwegian facebook page..
That being said.. ICS is probably not coming till late march in any case..

That means leaks will be coming spon hopefully.

I'm sure they are working on Touchwiz 5 for the GS3.
I really expect some official ICS news from them next month on MWC.
Like Asus did with their transformer on CES.
It will be a long wait, this Gingerbread OS thing needs a drastic change on our GNotes and soon.
I haven't seen this article posted. I looked, searched... So apology if I missed it.

An Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note is slated for a March 1st release, according to mobile industry insider Eldar Murtazin. Murtazin posted a tweet claiming the official update would roll out next month, though availability will vary depending on country and carrier. He also said that the Android 4.0 update will be made available over the air or using Samsung’s Kies software. Samsung previously announced that an Android 4.0 upgrade would be coming to the Galaxy S II, Galaxy S II LTE, Galaxy Note, Galaxy R, Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9, Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus.

I have added the OP to the ICS Info sticky. Please post all expected ICS ETAs There
Patience is a virtue that many Android users get to exercise when it comes to waiting for carriers and manufacturers to bring their smartphones up to speed with the latest Android flavor.
The wait for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is over for some Canadian folks, since Samsung Canada announced that it has started rolling out the ICS software update for Samsung Galaxy devices. The update will be available on select devices starting now and will continue to reach all devices and carriers.
Samsung devices that can soon hop aboard the Ice Cream Sandwich express include the Galaxy S2, Galaxy S2 LTE, Galaxy S2 LTE HD, and Galaxy S2 X. Tablets aren’t forgotten either, since the Galaxy Note, Galaxy Tab 7.0, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Galaxy Tab 10.1 will also receive the ICS update soon. And yes, we’re every bit as surprised as you are to see the original Galaxy Tab being listed there.
Rolling out an upgrade across so many variants and carriers takes time you know, so don’t be alarmed if you don’t see it on your Samsung Galaxy device today. Some manual checking won’t hurt either if you want to somewhat speed up the process, though the fresh new version of Android will still be heavily adorned with Samsung’s TouchWiz. Also, keep in mind that the rollout depends on the good will of the carriers too, so your mileage may vary.
Hopefully Samsung Canada’s move will be followed soon by their US counterpart. Samsung has already detailed last week which devices will be eligible for the upgrade, but failed to mention any specific dates. Interestingly, unlike the Canadian list, the original Galaxy Tab 7 isn’t on the US list.
So, have you received your ICS update yet? Tell us in the comments below.
There wouldn't be any sense in downloading the Note ICS update that's being pushed to canada because it is for the LTE note which is a completely different device than the one you presumably have if you're in this forum.
Not the right place bub!!
Canadian Update is not for N7000!!
OTOH
Wazzup Ganjaman!!

This is not the correct device, even it it was, this should be posted in the ICS sticky.
Galaxy S3, GS3, new flagship, quad core, yada yada yada. We hear something new about the Galaxy S3 everyday it seems, and with all the hype surrounding it, its predecessor, the Galaxy S2, seems to be missing out on the 4.1 fun. Where’s the Jelly Bean love for the flagship phone that sold over 20 million devices? Where is it Sammy? I’m looking around but all I see is Ice Cream and Gingerbread lying around. Will Samsung leave GS2 owners hanging? And what's with the Galaxy Note? Will you leave them "beanless"? Apparently not, as we have now received confirmation that the Android Jelly Bean update will be rolling out to a Galaxy SII (and Note) near you within the next 10 weeks.
Hallelujah holla back (too much?)! The info comes from the insiders of SamMobile, who reported yesterday that Samsung is currently testing the update, and preparing a public version that GS2 owners can install via Kies. If there are no hiccups, the update is expected to drop in September or October.
But what about Samsung’s surprise hit, the Galaxy Note? Where’s the bean Sammy? Well according to Sammobile, it’s also on its way (time frame not yet confirmed):
“Now we know the Galaxy S II is to get Jelly Bean we are also 100% sure for the Galaxy Note now too!”.
While Samsung hasn’t confirmed any of this directly (yet), Sammobile is known for having a very reliable reputation when it comes to device updates, and while it’s naturally possible that they could miss (even Kobe misses a dunk every now and then), I feel very confident that their source is reliable and that an update will roll out in September or October (GS2).
The Jelly Bean update is a massive one in terms of speed, performance, smoothness, and under the hood features (and some UI changes), and I’m very sure that Galaxy S2 and Note owners will be very happy with how their devices perform after receiving it.
If all this information is indeed accurate, HTC, Sony, LG, and Motorola have a lot of catching up to do in the update department.

Can't wait for JB on our fantastic GNote! :good:
