Then you are using a ROM for the i9020a. The base band you are using is not for the i9020t. This is why the signature it's failing

My phone is unlocked but the service center guys installed the different ROM and I am not able to update.
With rooting you mean I will be able to bypass (the error: failed to verify whole file signature) and install the update without issues?

Can someone screenshot their build version etc?
damn it!
Ota did download. Asked to reboot then ClockworkMod 6.0.1.1 appeared and started the update by itself.
Then I saw something terrifying
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
My Tab model is N8010 and is rooted. I'm still on the 4.0.4 samsung firmware. Any Idea about how I can flash the new downloaded update?

I had the same issue. I ended up updating via Kies and it works perfectly fine. I also read you can flash the stock recovery back and then you can update OTA, but being an Android noob, I wasn't completely sure how to do that, so I used Kies instead

Is there any difference to update on kies or ota?
The PDF import issue is fixed but now Polaris Office doesn't run at all. Anyone else experiencing this? The version is 4.0.5002.33. Clearing app data does not help.

I tried to extract it but I can't get Kies to install the firmware, it just return a weird error with korean character (I think it's korean since it appears as white square on my screen (font issue))
Edit: Nevermind, got it... I'll try to get it uploaded somewhere.

this update came out one week ago. if you are on stock ROM, you can update it. otherwise you need to restore to stock ROM to update and then root and install customized recovery. these process can keep your user apps and data.
Can't upgrade here...tried 3 times, download is ok, installation starts....and stops at around 20% with a droid error.
Phone unlocked but not root. Location Montreal, provider Bell...

[OTA Captured] German Retail 4.4.4

OTA for German Retail version from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 started to roll out finally.
Download:
http://d-h.st/gUF
The name of the file is Blur_Version.176.44.1.falcon_umts.Retail.en.DE.zip - as always - it is named after the firmware being updated not after the target one.
Were you on stock recovery but rooted when you got this OTA?
I got this Update today too.

You can always GET an OTA but you won´t be able to install it in some scenarios.
Your system partition has to be mostly untouched, but root and Xposed Framework won´t cause any problem. You can use stock or Philz Recovery.
Also got the update but the installation is failing due to unexpected changes to build.prop. I have removed xposed and anything else I can think of that may have changed the system partition but still no go.
Any ideas? Maybe someone could post their build.prop?
I'm also getting the update in The Netherlands. Bought my phone online amazon.de

I'm rooted and installed the stock recovery then tried doing the Ota (I'm on stock rom if it matters) and it gives an error, just "error" no more information during the installation process.

Yes, you have the right version of firmware for this OTA, don´t know why it´s failing for you, there´s too much variables, it´s hard to tell.
As to where the file I posted comes from - it´s right from my phone. Until today morning I was on French 4.4.4, then I flashed the German 4.4.2 firmware to look if I could catch the OTA and it really came, I pulled it from my /cache and posted here. Check out the MD5 sum: d289331e52d0f79d2bcc4b9b390ff338
It´s the same on my local copy, on the cloud copy I posted and also look here:

Apparently the update rolls out depending on that 4 numbers, i think it started from something like 3550 and mine is 3593 so i wanted to see if it is close to my number if you get what i mean.

Why so sceptical? Apart from a different dialer GUI, there´s not much difference you can really feel on 4.4.4, basically there are just some bug fixes.

Perhaps you need to uninstall and remove the modules and the xposed from the system before updating. Xposed and the modules add / modify system files and other sources in the device. Make sure you unroot as the last step as well. Stock recovery is required to install the OTA successfully

Damn, they must have changed something. I'll download the OTA and attempt to flash it once I get a build number. If it works, I'll add it to the post in my sig.
I'm getting the same error and I am not rooted.
Then I have no clue. And there does not seem to be a 3.1 tablet update in the developer site right now either.

Unfortunately the standard OTA link layout doesn't seem to work for this, or any other OTA for that matter. Damn it NVidia. I'll check this again later on.
EDIT: So my device is reporting that I'm on the latest version (2.2.2) after an hour of getting the "error fetching OTA information" message. Seems I'm not the only one.

FWIW: both "U" and "V" have the same radio. But we still don't know what markets each update is intended for.
"U" is apparently for Verizon.
