Sorry for the late reply , I just see those post.
I haven't a x10 anymore. I have a arc S now.
So i don't read all the post on the x10 tread. I can't help anymore with the most question . But I have a idea. Just copy past my first post (or edit to your liking) and open a new tread. That person must be someone that actually can help.
If that is done, let me know so I can contact a mod and close this tread.
It hoe if I have helped somebody.

After seeing the same question over and over again, I'm going to try to make a step by step guide for install this ROM.
So that the main tread will be as clean as possible.
In the second post, I will post tips and the most commen Q & A.
If you want to discuss about this ROM, please do that here
Now let's get started...............
First you need to unlock your boatloader.
You can read and ask ALL of your questions about unlocking here
(If you don't have a unlocked boatloader, there is a solution for that. But I suggest to unlock your boatloader. FXP team make this for unlocked bootloader. So you be warned. If you still want to install this with a locked bootloader, I suggest to go to cobrato tread, thank him for this.)
When you have a unlocked bootloader you are good to go to install this beautiful ROM .
THE ROMS ARE NUMBERED BY WEEK NUMBER.
I call the ROM FXP(week number), because I don't always have time to keep this up_to_date. Sorry for that!
Download the 2 files in this post (FXP(week number) & GAPPS ADDON)
FXP(week number) will be called something like this: update-cm-7.2.0-RC0-es209ra-KANG-signed
There are 3 files in update-cm-7.2.0-RC0-es209ra-KANG-signed
#Flashtool
#FXP(week number)
#unlock
Unzip those files on your PC
Put the map FXP(week number) (The one you just unzipped) and GAPPS ADDON (the one you have download at the start) somewhere on your SDcard.
Open flashtool and run the X10FlashTool.exe
No press Flash.
You will see just one file.
#x10i
Now flash that one, with this you will get the CWM.
After this reboot your phone en press repeatedly on the back button till you enter CWM.
Here you do:
1) wipe data/factory reset
2)wipe cauche partition
3)advanced ====> wipe Dalvik Cache
Now you can install the ROM:
1)Install zip from SDcard =====> choose zip from sdcard ===> and then go to the place where you have left FXP(week number) on your sdcard.
2)install now GAPPS ADDON, the same way you have install FPX(week number).
When it's done reboot your phone and enjoy
If I have write something what isn't correct.
PM me and I will edit it correctly.
To keep this up-to-date, also PM me for the bugs or tips.
So that I don't need to read every single post.
Thanks in advance
.

I found this from the past few releases and some people complained about battery drainage so I tried to find the source and this is what I found.
J said they set it to performance so that the phone will be faster and easier to test out features.

Maybe someone here can help me. I've followed those instructions but when I go to CWM based recovery and pick install from sd card it keeps saying cannot mount /sdcard
xrecovery on the other hand reads it just fine.
Maybe this is related to other roms not detecting my sd card.
Any suggestions?
Has anyone tried to flash dooms fxp for unlocked bootloaders with CM7??
which version of cwm do i use?? im using doomlords kernel where it has two versions of cwm and xrecovery

Read the op mate, it tells you how to install the rom, the part that says flash the fxp firmware with flashtool will give you the correct recovery, you can not use Dooms cwm's as you also need the kernel in FXP.
From the op....
Now flash FXP, with this you will get the CWM.

Any ideas guys? I even flashed back to 2.1 and started over but in CWM I keep getting can't mount /sdcard
Can you please give us some more info?
What exactly have you did?
Like, do you have a unlocked bootloader? Did the flashtool say that it was successful?
What kind of baseband do you have. Etc etc.

Yes, I have an unlocked bootloader. The Free Xperia screen comes up and I press the back button to get into recovery.
I'm running the .71 baseband and have had no problems flashing from flashtool.
Before I was running a custom 2.3.3 rom and I unlocked the bootloader, flashed in the FXP custom kernel and got the same problem of mounting sd card in recovery.
I just went back to stock 2.1 (This rom reads my sd card just fine), flashed .71 baseband, flashed FXP kernel and still got the same error when I entered recovery to install custom zip.
Why mounting sdcard?
If you put the right files before flashing on your card. You don't need to mount your card.
Can you access your card trough the menu?
Install zip from sdcard?
Edit.. i was reading your latest post on xda and are you sure that you have successful unlocked your bootloader/
in HOW-TO]UNLOCK bootloader for X10 you find a tool in the second post (s1tool.7z).
If I rember it correctly, when you run it you can see 2 different things in the fist line
RUNNING S1_EROM VER "R8A013" ======> locked bootloader
or
RUNNING S1_EROM VER "r8A013" ======> unlocked bootloader
(can anyone confirm this?)

That's the thing, when I go to install custom zip from the menu it gives me an error that says "Can't mount /sdcard"
edit: Yes, I ran the tool and the r was lowercase. I even did recover to relock the bootloader and the R became uppercase and I again unlocked it.
edit2: I think I should mention this..whenever I flash a 2.3 rom whether it's stock or custom, the rom does not detect my sd card. Once I go back to 2.1 it does. Do you know why this is the case?
Hi,
Let me know what I do wrong.... despite of turning ON debbuging in settings options during FXP flashing via Flash Tool I,ve got permanently error " turn on debbiging...." but It is already done.
What should I do to make a progress.... baseband .71, bootloader loocked.

Try unmounting the sd card from mounts & storage menu in recovery and choose install zip from sdcard again. See if this helps.

It's because you haven't unlocked your bootloader, the phone would not allow you to flash unsigned .sin files, which means you can't flash the FXP kernel.

Are you saying that after flashing the kernel it still says turn on debugging bla bla? That's normal. See if it shows freexperia upon turning on your phone.
If not, then you have not unlocked your bootloader.

In mounts and storage it only gives me the option to mount sd and when I select that it gives me the same error. Xrecovery works fine but I can't flash cm7 with that.
I've made the leap and installed this ROM. First of all I want to say how brilliant it is and it'll obviously only get better. I've also installed FXP28 on my wife's x8 with similar results. Great work FXP team!
So on to my problem... when I go to bed my phone has switched itself off and my alarm hasn't gone off. When I switch it back on there was still 20 odd % battery remaining. This has happened twice. I've been running the govener on 'on demand'. One thing that is odd is that the phone has a flashing green light which presumably means it is in fact not off. The only way to wake it up though is to hold the power button.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
Ok. Another problem. Cannot get wifi tether to work at all... also USB tethering doesn't work and could only get barnacle to work with no security.
Is anyone having success with tethering.
PS. I never had a problem with my previous rom - Wolf's!

Hey guys,
a friend of mine has got a problem and I hope you may can help me.
He had 3.2 on his tablet and wanted it to root. So he did the "downgrad method" an everything worked well. Then he flashed the Thor ICS Rom with CWM. Everything was fine, but he wanted to flash antoher ROM.
I don´t know why, but instead of using the CWM full backup he flashed again the "downgrade_not_stable" file.
Now he is stuck on the Android boot screen.
CWM isn´t available anymore, so he can´t flash another ROM.
Is there any option to solve this problem?
Go to settings and then about. Go to system update at the top. This should get him back to stock 3.2/3.2.1.THIS WILL TAKE A WHILE... You will need wifi as it downloads official update.
After getting back to stock 3.2/3.2.1 go to android market and install the acer recovery installer and also install iconia root, you should find both here somewhere.
THEN downgrade to 3.0.1.
Run iconia root, then acer recovery installer (puts cwm back on tab).
Install rom of choice by transferring .zip file onto sd card and booting into cwm.....
At first thanks for your fast answer.
The problem is that he is stuck on boot screen which means he isn´t able to go to any settings. After downgrade from ICS to 3.0.1 not stable, he only sees the Android Boot logo

Thank you all!
We will give this a try, even if the Rom he used to downgraded doesn´t seem to be bad. (He allready succsefully used it to downgrade and root from stock rom before flashing ics and doing weird stuff ) But maybe there just went something wrong with the downgrading process. Worth to give this other rom a try.
I have an additional question: Isn´t it possible, that there is a problem with the kernel used with the ics rom and the needed kernel of the downgrade rom?! (sorry i don´t really know about this stuff)
/edit: Ok following problem: USB debugging is not turned on and he can´t turn it on because he is stuck in boot :/
Try holding down power and - volume, when acer logo appears then rock the screen lock button back and forth once. This should clear cache and user data.
Try flashing the 3.0.1 update file again using acer recovery (you might try downloading again in case its a corrupt file) and see if that works.... Then install iconia root and acer recovery installer to root and reinstall cwm.
If this doesn't work, I'm out of ideas....

Thank you all for your help but nothing worked.
My friend called the Acer support. They said it should be an hardware defect (I don´t really believe it) and they want him to send the tablet to the support to replace it...
Just tell him to use the EUU tool from timmyDean's thread to flash stock rooted 3.2.1 from your PC or use the method 1 downgrade from my signature.
Oh, and he doesn't have a "bad download", and he flashed the same 3.0.1 that worked the first time. The mistake was done when he flashed 3.0.1 over thor's Asus based ROM 3.2.1 making it a mess.
Hi guys, I will try and explain this as simple as possible.
I as trying to install cyanogenmod 11 on my phone, and everything seemed to go alright until I made a mistake. I used TWRP to first backup my stock rom on the phone, and then when I was supposed to reboot into the app, I accidently rebooted the phone.
Now the problem is that the phone does not have any OS installed, so what is happening is that it's trying to boot into an OS that's not there, and instead ends up being stuck on the Samsung logo. I can enter Odin mode just fine, but for the love of god I cannot seem to figure how to get back into the TWRP application, or if it is even possible.
I do have the backup of the ROM stored on my SD card, and I've now moved it over to my PC, but it still does not seem to help me in any way. I've trid to launch the Odin3 program on my pc, in an attempt to to try and launch in TWRP through that, but it has all been without any success, so now I come to this board of guinesses, asking for help!
As an added bit of information, this was my first time trying to install a custom rom, so yeah.. Puff..
- The lost Dane.
- Edit -
I tried to "flash" by doing what this link said, in the hopes that my phone would boot into the program, but alas, it only booted back to the logan saying "samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005" :/
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30694404

To make it super clear ... If I could get back into TWRP, I would be able to run my backup. I know how that app works, I just simply cannot get back into, and I do not know if it is even possible. I've searched and tried various guides to "flash TWRP through Odin" but it has all been without any success... :/

Did you hold volume up+home+power button to get into recovery mode?
In case your twrp get corrupted due to flashing failure previously
1. Download twrp from the following. 2.6.3.7 if you were running 4.3 or 2.6.3.8 if you were running 4.4.2(not sure if 2
6.3.8 is 4.3 compatible). For odin flashable use the one with .tar
http://www.techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/hlte
2. Get into download mode(vol down+home+power)
3. Link the downloaded .tar to pda in odin. Odin log should show 'added' once you connect phone to pc
4. Start the process. Once finish phone should boot into recovery automatically but it'll try to boot back into OS. Just hold vol up+home+power button to get back into recovery

When I do that, I get an ultra short blue text appearing on the screen, before it goes into downloading mode, with a red text saying "Could not do normal boot." So it basically goes right into odin mode.

I really do appreciate the help you've given, but I have one final request, and I really do hope it isn't too much to ask. Say I am unable to find the same version of TWRP, I will have to actually flash cyanogenmod onto my device. I don't think it should be too tough now that I've managed to launch into TWRP, because now I should be able to just put the rom on my SD card, and then install the files, no?
if it helps you, my device is SM-N9005, and I had 4.3 when I started this whole thing. Cheers!

I tried to download the Nighty build from CyanogenMod's own homepage, but when I try and install it, it says failed, giving me an erro that says "This package is for "hlexx" devices: This is a." That's all it says ... Hmfh. Sooooooooo... Yes! I'm in recovery mode now, but without any rom. :/

You can also flash any stock rom such as SweetRom/X-Note/BobCat as most developers still keeping 4.3 rom in their thread.

So after having spent the better half of the night, I actually managed to get my phone to boot into cyanogenmod 11 ! But that joy was shortlived when I came to realize that wi-fi wasn't working, and I couldn't get it to work. I tried to factory reset as I had read would help, but alas it did no good. I figured I should try and run back a stock 4.4.2 rom and just be done with it, but that was when I realized I had lost my root (?!) so that wasn't really a possibility either, next I set out to try and find a way to root my phone now running cyanogenmod 11. I found a file here on XDA called "CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.tar" but whenever I try and flash that onto my phone, my phone just stays stuck saying "trying to enter into recovery mode" and does not really go anywhere from there. I can get back into recovery mode if I flash "n9005-cwm-recovery-6.0.4.5(1116)" onto the phone, like you said, but that still leaves me without root access, which I need to throw a rom onto my device?! Arrrgh, this is getting silly, I just wish I could go back to my backup/ default rom on the device, but I can't.

About the cf auto root make sure you flash the one for 4.3. I believe you flashed the one for 4.4.2.
Doesn't really matter whether you have root access or not as long as you can boot into custom recovery. Just flash any custom rom. It'll give you root anyway.
Still if you need root just make sure you flash cf auto root then flash twrp or chenglu recovery. Flash the one for 4.3 that's the most important

But when I have cyanogenmod 11 installed, is that then not 4.4.2 ? I suppose that's what's giving me trouble... I'll try and see if I can find the cf auto root for 4.3 and return back if I was successful or not. Again, thank you for being so patient..
-Edit
This seems to be the only one I can find; http://download.chainfire.eu/352/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.zip
And I've already tried that one 3 times, but every time I flash it, the phone reboots and keeps trying to enter into recovery mode, and is unable to do so before I've flashed n9005-cwm-recovery-6.0.4.5(1116) again
this is what it says;
"recovery booting...
Recovery is not seandroid enforcing
Set warranty bit : Recovery "

You flashed 4.4.2 cm rom but you're on 4.3 booloader. So you need to use cf auto root for 4.3 which is available here

Just enter download mode and reflash twtp. I saw there are 4 different versions for 4.3(2.6.3.0/2 6.3.5/2.6.3.6/2.3.6.7). Flash 1 by 1 and see if it can restore your backup

You really are a boss with a heart of gold! I used the file you linked me, ran it, and sure enough it installed and gave me root access. Believe it or not, but I am learning from this! The whole thing about bootloader being different from the rom version was new to me. But I am up and running with root access now, so now I hope it shouldn't be too hard to get a stock rom thrown in. I've kinda given up on my backup. I no longer care for the files I had before, now I just want the phone up and running with wifi.. X_ X
- Edit
Or do you have any clue as to what is causing wifi to not work? I really don't mind the rom at all, I quite like it, but where I live wifi is mandatory as it's a lowered area with mountains around me, meaning LTE really isn't viable while at home.

Not sure about the wifi problem but yes you're good to go with a new rom. Make sure to choose only for 4.3 bootloader else you will run into problem later

Could you be so kind and to link me to a rom that works for 4.3 bootloader? I am so paranoid I'll end up picking something for 4.4.2, like I was about to do now. :S

There's a lot more in developement section. Just take a look there. Most developers still providing link for 4.3

Alright.. Time to get things done right! So just being sure I do it alright. I pick this one; http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2498687
Download the one for 4.3 bootloader, once download I place the zip folder on my SD card
- Then boot into Recovery mode, wipe phone clean, and then install the rom directly from inside of Recovery mode?
I tried to install custom recovery file provided fom a youtube video for my LG G2 D802 international version (cant post the link cause i am new, but the youtube user name is Phone Tech Kid, the video is titled: "LG G2: How To Install Custom Recovery (Easy Method)"
Here is a screenshot with the error message (simply copy and paste in your browser):
s14.directupload.net/images/140506/ii7j2kgp.png
The problem is that after successfully installing the recovery file i cant even go into recovery mode on reboot anymore. The phone is bricked :crying:
I didnt pay attention that the video is from 11.2013 and my device had the 4.4.2 KitKat from end ot March, seems that has caused the brick.
PLEASE help

that video is outdated and would never work on kitkat if you want custom recovery and can still boot into your phone(android os) then try AutoRec it is the easiest/only way to get recovery on kit kat

Yes i used the power+volume up button combination and it went in download mode, than the screen changed and showed "Firmware update" beneath it: "Do not unplug the USB connection until the prcess is complete." Is this the donwload mode?
The link with the recovery back to stock ROM seems complicated with lot of steps. Can i instead go for a google edition rom (such as EHNDROIX V) instead of the stock ROM at this stage?

yes that's download mode and that is not like flashing a rom through recovery that is the only way to get your phone back to working condition and method 3 is a batch file which does it all for you

Thanks a ton for helping me.
I guess i need to accomplish those 3 steps:
1.2). Firmware Files HERE! KitKat 4.4.2 Firmwares
1.3). Download R&D FlashTool (offline fix) & LGMOBILEAX: HERE & HERE
1.4).Download Drivers - Click Here
Than Method 3 from the link you provided.
How do i do it exactly? Drivers i have already installed the rom is downloded. Step 1.3 is not clear how it works togehter with Method 3?

Thank you, thanks a lot.
Rooting worked, checked it afterwards with an root check app.
Also installed the AutoRec successfully with the apk file, i did run it after inszallation and everything. But i want to test it whether it is there, how can i check it? I held the power+down keys but its an white screen: "Factory hard reset" below it: "Permanently Erase user Data & Reset settings?" and below this: "Press power key to confirm, and any other key to cancel". Seems not like recovery with a lot of options touch buttons and things. How can i check for correct installation of the AutoRec?
