Well, I was screwing around with ODIN and flashing stock roms to try to unroot and get back to factory... Problem is, I can't flash CWM, when I do and try to go to recovery it does nothing. If I flash a .tar it will flash the retail recovery and allow me to go to it, but apparently I've lost access to the E: drive (internal storage). My guess is I may have repartitioned through ODIN and lost access. I cannot regain access to any recovery (anytime I flash it gives me nothing when I click recovery mode). i flash and flash the CWM tar even the retail tar, and nothing works. ive tried repartitioning again with the stock tar files... But to no avail. Please help. Thanks.
EDIT: its the 3G 10.1 7500.
Also, it will boot when I let it ODIN re-stock, but it asks for password. WTH?
I found this thread from thre samsung vibrant where people had same issue. It has the soultion but I need it for the p7500.

You have to do a wipe in recovery after you Odin a stock Rom to get rid of password. But as you are not able to access recovery I don't know how you will do it.
Also the questions should be asked in Q/A forum not in development section.

my question (yes, looked and read)
1. Continuum started acting up
2. I wanted to do backup and wipe/factory reset
3. I was naive enough to download Quick Boot and install it; as a result, it will boot into recovery, but does not respond to power button; as a result, the only way to get out of recovery was to Odin it
4. I factory restored phone, but can not do 2 things:
- can not find valid link for PIT file download (is it necessary?)
- can not install anything from recovery, as power button still does not work in recovery mode
5. as a result, I had it Odined one more time and, at this point, I am not experimenting with it anymore, as it's wife's phone, and you know how that goes.
I need help here:
1. I need help installing CWM recovery via Odin
2. Can I root phone via Odin also?
Please, if you post links, make sure they are valid, as most links I found so far are broken or lead to sales sites.
Thank you
ok i just checked and all the links for cwm are there, as for pit, you have to have to right click pit and save link as, cuse the ec07 pit for dl17 odin.
ill be in irc

I truly need the community's help on this one. Trying to fix a rom that I was using, I decided to wipe everything to reflash it. However, some how I read the thread wrong. Using TWRP, I formatted the "internal storage" thinking that was going to fix my Rom problems.
Now, I can't boot into the Rom or any rom, unless I wipe everything and restore one of my back ups. I restored a back up and it booted, but my data is jacked and phone service is not operable. I thought maybe a reboot will fix it, and now my phone is stuck at "Samsung Galaxy S 4". It doesn't move from there.
What should I do? How do I get it it continue the boot into the rom after a regular reboot? How do I get my radio back?
It's funny to me because I usually never get this careless with my phone. So I can laugh about it but damn I have to figure this one out!
Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am by know means an expert but I think you may have to start here with the firmware files then try and flash your backup http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2338919

Thanks Chief, let me try that!
Thanks Chief. Unfortunately, that didn't work. I used Odin to flash the Firmware files and let it reboot. I'm still stuck at the Samsung Gal...boot screen. Let me try manually going into recovery and restoring.
Any other ideas? Anyone?

Have you tried flashing the complete odin ROM? You can find the all in one somewhere on the dev thread, it has rom, kernel, firmware and the rom all in one as it came from samsung. That should take care of your problem. It will wipe everything, or I think there was also a thread somewhere with odin flashables that didn't wipe data or internal sd but I can't seem to find it right now.

Exactly. I'm on the target. I'm currently waiting for this tar that will unroot the phone. It is MDL but I will update and reroot. I hope this does the ticket. I'm going to use Odin to flash it or unroot.
Well strike two. That didn't work either. I downloaded a unrooted MDL tar and connected to Odin. When through the entire process and it rebooted. It still is stuck at "Samsung Galaxy S4".
I read on the Nexus 7 that I might have to reflash a system.img and boot.img? Someone else had a similar experience on the N7 and had to download it via flashdrive and then install via recovery. I'm not saying that's the case but I wonder if I need to reflash a boot.img or something.
Please help. Not sure where to go at this point. Unrooting didn't help.
Try downloading this file extract the tar and flash that in PC Odin. (don't check repartion!).
That is the full stock MF9 firmware, boot, recovery, kernel and ROM.
Then maybe use CF Autoroot, then goomanger to get twrp and flash one of your nand's
Progress made.

leader, chief, ifly4,...I'm making progress.
leader, actually I flashed a previous version, the MDL via Odin. At first it didn't boot as stated in my previous post. I decided to wipe and factory reset. """"Bingo"""" it booted. Now I'm on MDL and unrooted. However, I transferred my phone over to a previous device so I can't update profile and prl. I'm going to activate the phone and see if it works. For some reason I can't can't seem to get a radio signal on it. It shows the be O with the slash in the middle. This is what it looked like before I deactivated it and lost everything before.
I post back with results. Not quite solved yet.
Thanks leader and everyone else.
Sound like your on the wrong firmware/baseband. what does your modem/baseband say?

It says L720VPUAMDL. I actually got it going. I had to change it from WCDMA to CDMA and reset. Now I'm unrooted. and going. However, leader, is there away to update the modem/baseband before I root? Or should I root then flash the MF9 Modem?
if you got MDL to activate you can jst take the OTA update to MF9. It will update it all.
Then use CF-Autoroot to gain root. After that same - install goomanager from Playstore and use it to install TWRP.

Awesome. Hey thanks again leader for helping me out. I'm usually never careless with these things. I use SACS rom but decided to try Miui. From some reason every time I flash Miui, I get the "Roaming Indicator Off" thing along with two signals. Reading the thread it suggest to format the internal. Why oh Why did I try that step. The rest is history....
Thanks again. Learned a lot with this process.
Glad you got it working.
There is a 'thanks' button too.

Obviously, I'm a noob.
I have the L720VPUFNG2.
Can someone please tell me which stock ROM to download and possibly provide a link? I rooted and while doing the hotspot tweak changed the services files. I made a backup of both, seems kind of useless when it bricked to the sprint splash and I cannot access them to switch to the original files. I wasn't sure what version of the services files to get and must have gotten the wrong ones.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
You need to post more information. Can you boot into recovery? If not, have you tried to boot into download mode? If you can get into recovery, mount your usb in recovery, flash a nandroid (backup) to get your phone working again. If you do not have a backup, connect your phone to your computer, mount your usb in recovery and trasnfer a rom to your phone and flash it.
If you cannot get into recovery, I would download Odin and the NG2 tar file. Boot into download mode and Odin the tar file to get back to stock. I want to say I have seen a few experimental tar files on here. This is what I would do, no guarantees.
I do not mean to kick you while you are down but if you do not know what you are doing, don't do it. You have to read read read and read some more before you do any of this.

You should have made a nandroid backup of the newly installed NG2 rom....if you did, just boot to recovery and reflash that nandroid.
If you didn't make a backup, download one of the 2 roms from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54807917&postcount=36 made by mxmr and flash through recovery. They are both stock rooted NG2 roms....one odexed and one deodexed.
This is your only options at this point as there is not yet an Odinable NG2 tar file. Only a tar for the NG2 modem.
i have a SM-G900F currently on boot-loop, tried to flash a stock rom, odin says it was a success but now its still on boot loop , even tried wipe data.
Boot to recovery, factory reset
If it still fails, flash the stock ROM again, few people have had the same problem
First boot does take quite a while, so give it like 10-15 mins to boot
i cant seem flash the stock rom now,Secure Check fail :modem
Hi! I've opened a thread in general section about this problem. What about erase nand (with pit) and efs clear in odin?

well Firstly if any mod is kind enough to move this thread to the appropriate section please kindly do so,
im new to this device and im not sure how to do that process perhaps, if u could link me a tut to do it, im sure i cant give it a try..Thanks in advance
I don't know wich is the right section neither because it's an help request but not a question and it's in general interest because it concerns G900f partitions.
However if I remember correctly just need to thick "erase nand" and "efs phone clear" in odin and putting a g900f 16gb pit file for "repartition" to check.
If I remember correctly you will not use imei.
Have S5 SM-G900F - 16GB with PhilZ Touch 6.26.2 and Clockworkmod V6.0.4.7
Was using XtreStoLite_ROM_v2.2_LP_XXU1BOD3 and Blaze.Kernel_ver15 that I installed through SD card and Recovery.
As my S7 has shipped (finally) I want the GF to have my old S5 but need THL (Thailand) system support (I.E. not just thai language but also on the system menus).
I downloaded what I thought was a ROM for this but at the end of Odin flash I had Bad EXT4 flash and on phone 'invalid ext image size is too big'
Reading through the thread someone stated you need the .PIT.
I have ALWAYS avoided these but tried the SM-G900F_pit_16GB file. Yes I need a slap, I know better.....
OK so here it is, I do not know if NAND is corrupt as I do not know the symptoms.
Also, if I only have a soft brick, what is the best approach for recovery / ROM flash ?
Do I always need to do it from SD card / Recovery using a .zip?
Current state of phone.
Seen in Odin.
Can go into download mode.
Can now go into Recovery mode after flashing philz_touch_6.26.2-klte.tar.md5 in Odin.
Reboot loop (obviously, not valid ROM on it now).
I am assuming all is good and it's not a BAD brick, but still have not had a successful flash.
Many thanks
Yes I don't have many posts because I have always searched and found answers, but this time I am a little unsure and don't want to royally screw it up.
Help is much appreciated.

Yeah!
I tried various and get EXT4 file size incorrect errors.
It was the .PIT incident that was lead from that error.
I have since re-acquired the original de-oxed ROM and flashed that from .zip on SDcard.
All good now, I just thank god I didn't screw it up with a .PIT file.
I was lucky! Leave them files for the DEV's and ignore posts that suggest getting a .PIT file and trying that for .EXT4 partition errors.
Reading posts later, chances are that your getting that error because you have the wrong ROM to flash, having a hidden partition in the ROM, from someone like the UK EE provider.
Hope you remembered to disable reactivation lock during first boot
The reason the ROM was removed in the first place...
