Default ##DATA values for Verizon Trophy 7 - Trophy General

Can someone please dial ##DATA+call and please sell me the default PST values for the VERIZON Trophy (if you have another carrier, it will not help me!). If you do not know what values to leave out, you shouldn't be the one making this post (meaning, do not post your own ESN, MEID information, its for your security!)
I need these values because I ran HTC Connection Setup (the newest offical one off the market), and now my phone refuses to get a data connection even after a factory reset. I believe the program changed some settings that are not programmed during *228 option 1 activation. Phone works fine as a phone and with SMS.
I get the feeling that my data key got nuked, and that I will have to upload a public data key to the phone in diagnostic mode (I do not know the code for DIAG mode). I just want to make sure the other values are okay before going that far.
I would rather do this myself to fix it rather then send the phone back to HTC.. but if that's what I must do.. then I will do it!
Any other codes anyone has would be appreciated. I haven't found a definitive list of codes for the HTC Trophy (any model), and wouldn't mind making another thread with all of those codes.

[SOLVED - but still have a question] HELP!!! ESN Swap needs to be finished!!

I recently purchased a used Sprint Mogul on eBay... the seller didn't write much about the phone other than it works and it's missing the charger... i had a charger for PPC's from my Excalibur so it was no big deal...
I got the phone, it turns on and functions, and the ESN is clean!! (YAY! ) Also, it's already been flashed to Windows Mobile 6.1 (YAY!!! )
I called Sprint to have the ESN swap done and a number port from T-Mobile to Sprint... they initiated the ESN Swap and the number port at the same time. The port actually took place almost immediately. My T-Mobile "Dash"'s SIM card no longer registers on their network.
The problem is that the member care person told me to put in a code ( ##443235# ) and then select "Edit" and then "Ok" ... and from what I've read, the LAST pound isn't supposed to show up, it's supposed to redirect to a menu screen with 3 choices. This doesn't occur!! it types it in like a phone number!!
Now I have 2 phones, and neither one works. Somebody PLEASE help me, I know I can't possibly be the only person on the internet having this issue, but it sure seems like it because Google is vast and "#" isn't a search engine-friendly character
HELP!!
nevermind, i found the "EPST" file in the windows directory... can somebody explain to me what "EPST" is, and what ##778# does exactly on the Sprint network??

Cricket on Qwest XV6800 Issue (Mogul, Titan)

hi all. i have followed numerous guides online, but cannot get my phone on Cricket's network. my ESN is activated, and i can get *611 and *228 to work. all other calls forward to "American Roaming". the current setup is:
Radio 3.42.50
dcd 3.3.4 flash
nue2.47 SPL
1039/1050 PRL
i can access my EPST with a non 000000 code (stupid Qwest) but *228 doesn't work. it will only spit an error after "15 failed attempts" and reboot. i do not have access to a Windows machine running QPST as the drivers are fudged and i would have to reinstall to get the 6700 drivers to work (not my favourite O/S)
i think my issue is in the PRL. Cricket gave me a 5 number MSID last time i called so i think i will be calling them again :/
thanks for any help!
Found this on another forum...hope it helps..

First and most important is the SID number Cricket uses for your area. In Phoenix it is 4923. Every market has a different SID, I had a link to a website that listed all the SID's used by all the carriers in all the US markets but I had to format and reinstall Win XP and lost a great deal of my info. I found the link on Howard Forums, a person whose name was 3 letters starting with X__. Anyway go into that programming menu and in the NAM 1 setup you need to enter the SID, and enter your 10 digit phone number where it asks for MIN and MDN. They may be called other things, (mobile id number, phone number, directory number, MSID) but usually it's just your number you need to enter. The rest of the stuff in the programming menu just leave as it is or set to default value. Now if you are lucky when you dial 611 you will get Cricket's automated system and you only need to give the rep your ESN for them to activate your phone on the network. If you still get VM's CS when dialing 611 then you will need a data cable, free software called BITPIM and a copy of Cricket's current PRL file. That file is automaticly downloaded to your phone when dialing *228 but like I said if your not getting Cricket with 611 then the data cable is needed to manually load the file. Post back here if you have any problems and I will try to help. I have sucessfully done this for two phones (only voice and text msging, don't have parameters to make MMS and BREW work yet)so it is possible. Good luck.

never mind guys. they changed my phone number! $#%#[email protected]!
oh well. anyway, this forum has been great, and i thank you for all the help!
thanks crobs808
i am up and running. it seem that the MSID number is a phone number different from mine, however, if i enter my original phone number as the Mobile Directory number, all is well!
so they can be different on Cricket, though the MDN is the one that calls, texts respond to

How is the Imei sent over the network?

Do any one know how a windows mobile sends the IMEI to the network?
Which function in the api ?
i'm sure it is in the low level api , kernel or may be the coredll.dll but i cannot find any clue on it , and i don't have any idea on where to start to trace that.
Any help or clue would be grateful
Is it really sent??
I'm by no means an expert on this subject -- but is it really sent over the network? In my case the US ATT network? I'm not so sure it is...
...if so, why do they have to always ask me for it?
...if so, why aren't they automatically charging me an extra $30/mo. for a PDA data plan which they insist is REQUIRED for PDAs to connect-even though we all KNOW that's a lie and an ATT rip-off scheme?
...if so, why am I able to call them and give them ANY NON ATT IMEI over the phone and they not dispute it?
...jus a few questions to answer your question.
I'm not an expert either, but I can tell you that they see it. I like to think of the IMEI number as your "ip address" or your phone's "username" for the network. It has to be sent for access purposes and it would be stupid not to log that type of server access. Else how else would you be restricted from using other Cellular towers.
Wrong.
Read up on IMSI's and TMSI's
In the Netherlands the police used an IMEI number to send text messages to a stolen cellphone, even thought they had changed the simcard the phone would show: " This phone is stolen please bring it to the police" every 5 minutes...
Though I'm not an expert on this topic, I thought that the Radio Firmware handled all communications with the Cellular network, including IMEI. One reason I am inclined to go with the Radio Firmware is this simple reason: If it was handled by WM, somebody could probably figure out how to spoof it through WM at one point or another, in the same way that MAC addresses can be spoofed.
And as I said, I'm no expert on this, so please, somebody correct me if I'm blatantly incorrect.
Oh, and w00t! 400th post!
IMEI is for sure transmitted to the network, since this is registered on the BTS every time your signal "auth" on it , and the server logs it and checks if your phone is on the "blacklist" and then reject connection if it is the case.
Check here
But i wonder, technically, where from it is sent, maybe from the Radio firmware like previously posted ?
I guess, since we have some tools to read & change the IMEI on others HTC, it could be done on every models (if i understood right, the IMEI part is somewhere on "read only" and we first need to unlock the CID to unlock this part of memory and then modify / alter it.)
The tools is found here :
IMEI Updater
But works only for iWizard and some other models.
But couldnt we hook the function that retrieves the imei and alter it on the fly? (from the software point of view?) or should i digg in the flash memory?
Or is it hardcoded on the SPL or the IPL? When and what function is used to send it on the network ?
Also for al the legal issues, i might add that an opensource OpenBTS Project is running , and it is in a research-oriented initiative.
So no post saying that i want to change stolen Imei etc.. this is not the case.
I'm a developer for one year now, and i'm interested in mobile security and research.

I think you'd have to Security Unlock as well. And I'm certain that it's stored somewhere in protected flash memory, at least on the Qualcomm based devices, because there have been isolated reports of IMEI changes after using Olipro's Kaiser SIM/CID unlocker/changer.
It works by flashing a modified radio firmware which security unlocks the device (until a different radio is flashed), then a program is run in Windows Mobile which somehow changes SIM lock and CID information. If you're curious, those cases concerning IMEI changes as a result of this tool are here and here. And if you really want to know about this issue, a visit to the XDA IRC channel, or a polite PM to cmonex, Jockeyw2001, Olipro, or Pof could probably clear this up, as those are the people who really know these devices. Good luck
Thank you very much DaveTheTytnIIGuy, at least i have a lead now, on where to go and who to ask.

How to find lost HD2 via GPS? (Microsoft My Phone)

Dear xda-users.
Sadly I have lost my HD2 after a having it for a week. I have tried to locate it via Microsoft My Phone but it failed me.
My network operator has blocked the sim-card and the phone's IMEI number.
Does anyone know if it is possible to track it down even when the phone has ran out of power and does?
Anybody know any company who is able to track devices?
I hope you can help me.
Regards
Razir.
Well if the SIM card is blocked, there is no way how the device would let you know. It could use wifi, but even if wifi was on, HD2 wont connect unknown networks until told so.

No power, no way.
if its out of power u wont track it... ull have to wait till someone finds it... recharges it and connects to network.. thats only way how to track it (it broadcasts its imei over network).. even if they hard reset it which would kill myphone tracking
dont know about any companies but in slovakia it is prohobited by law to track down cell phones... before ppl were able to do that by calling police but not anymore

If you asked the network to block the IMEI you're pretty much screwed. If it wasn't blocked, someone could take the phone, change SIM, and hopefully turn it on without hard resetting, which you'd be able to see on myphone. But as the IMEI is blocked, even if he did that, the network wouldn't let it connect, so it wouldn't be able to tell it's position.
Except if the guy connects to a wifi. But he'd certainly think about hard resetting before that.
Thank you guys. Your answers have been useful.
As it might be a little late for you now I ran across this program called Ultimate Theft Alert. If you would have had this application installed you might have been able to locate your phone. Or at least tell you who has it.
http://www.wm6software.net/utilities/_ultimate_theft_alert_v35_.html
I'd like to blatantly push a free and VERY full featured program here called remote tracker. Lets you do all the phone tracking stuff, send it a text and it sends you back a link to google maps with lcation, location based on gps and/or cell towers, it can record a 5 minute gps track and send it to you, it has sim swap alert, wipe your simcard, wipe sd card, run scripts remotely, lock up your phone, throw up messages on screen, have the phone call you back, it is soft reset friendly (hard reset proof if you cook it in yourself),,,
http://remotetracker.sourceforge.net/
oh, and no i'm not the author, and nor do i get a kickback
oh, and it can respond by text, email or ftp (or all the above)
edit - sorry to the OP :-(
Hi guys,
I also lost my HTC HD2 but didn't speak to my network yet, so do I have any chance to find it?? any idea how?
Thanks

Hey I am in a similar situation. Can youplease confirm. If I DO Unblock the IMEI from my carrier, will the myphone service be able to locate the HD2 even if it does now have a new SIM card in it?
I lost the phone O/S and would do anything to get it back - I have it registered to the microsoft myphone service. Now that I am back home, I got a new sim card with the same number. Will the myphone service search via IMEI or does it need my active sim card in it?
Thanks
Myphone ONLY uses the sync relationship with the phone. The position is updated when the phone is synced. So the position you see is the one of the last sync, and if the new "owner" is clever enough to hard reset your phone, you'll never get position updates again.

[Q] Evo Shift Flashed to Boost: Phone Number Change ??

Hello Everybody,
I recently purchased an Htc Evo Shift which was already flashed to boost. When I added money to the phone for use I realized that the phone had an odd number being that every one i was calling would not pick up on the first few tries thinking that I was a telemarketer. I called boost to change the number to a local area code but after they made the change we encountered a problem. I dont know what the exact code was but it consisted of two pounds , four numbers starting with 3 , and another pound. They repeatedly asked me to press ##3---# to bring up a menu to update the phone so I could use the new phone number. I'm assuming the code was for the incognito because after the process didnt work they asked if i was using the incognito. I simply told them yes and that I would call back to finish the process when i had time. The phone now does not have service or internet until i can get it to recognize the new phone info.
I dont know what to do, if someone could help it would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

What she was trying to get you to bring up was the ESPT ( ##3282# ) . That will take you to a Menu that says view or edit. If you press view it will let you view the information. But if you press EDIT, then another Menu comes up that says enter code. This is where your going to need your MSL ( Master Subsidy Lock ) . That will let you enter the Menu, and actually make changes. You can go on the Android Market and download MSL Reader, or just Google it. Then connect your phone to the PC via USB, and load it that way. You can also check THIS THREAD for info.
