Well according to Amy-B, the mouthpiece over at Dell's Community forum, US users of the beta's and unlocked versions will be receiving the updates first. Well, today marks day three of the rollout, and I have not received anything. I frequently check the update site, like an expectant father in the waiting room, and there's been nothing.
Has anyone in the US, and more specifically, any of the beta testers in the Austin/San Antonio market, received anything for update?
If anyone should have been marked first for update, it should have been those of us carrying the unit from that beta test.
Do you really think that the upgrade would be released and no one post about it?
We do not need another thread about the update so i will close it
Is the hsupa update available from AT&T or motorola for non beta testers yet?
I don't want the sdk, only the official news.
I got the update from the motorola software updater software. Some people can't even seem to get it from there, I messed up root 3 times and updated from. 53 to. 83 three times.

It's rolling out, which is to say AT&T is not sending the update out to every Atrix owner at once. That would load up servers pretty heavily and you wouldn't want your update to end up stalling because everyone was trying to update at once. It'll get to all of us in time, I think I got the last update about three days after they started rolling that one out.
Be patient, Grasshopper.
The updates go by your phones IMEI number.
Also, they are still rolling out to testers, so I don't know why some non-testers are getting the update. There is nothing in the beta forums about this update rolling out live already.
Funny, I got the 57 update 6 hours before it was officially released and I am was not on beta list, so this wait is killing me. I am a child
Well by now were all on 2.3.4 and still no Video chat, The HTC sensation has just been updated and that now has video chat in google.

Google Talk with video and voice chat will gradually roll out to Nexus S devices in the next few weeks as part of the Android 2.3.4 over-the-air update and will launch on other Android 2.3+ devices in the future.

but i think samsung is safe more or less
I just spoke to a rep at nvidia about the kit Kat update that we were supposed to get today and she informed me that it will not release today and that she is not certain when they will release it as there working out the bugs that it should be a few more days very upset with this as I for one was really looking forward to this update my guess is that there working on the fact that the tegra note kit Kat was not able to any longer move apps to SD because kit Kat broke the ability to do so am guessing this might be the issue I will be directly emailed as soon as the update releases and will keep everyone updated thank you

They announced the delay two days ago on their forums. The new date is April 7th.
Yes I just read it earlier just a lot of crap floating around so..
A rep told me Sunday April 6th at around 12:00 - 1:00pm Eastern time...
Good to know. Thanks for the update guys.
At least the XDA forums is alive I thought it was dead...I have been going to the Google+ user group to get news and what not. I was very disappointed that more Dev work hasn't been done for this awesome device maybe that just means its awesome stock

I wonder what is fixed and how long it'll be before moto pushes that out considering not many are even on 5.0.

So Motorola now pays for being the good guy here. They quickly worked their arse off on 5.0 update , Finalising , carrier approvals and Google brings out 5.0.1. Motorola must be feeling that they should have waited.

I think this is a major reason why most companies wait a before releasing a new version. The added costs of more releases adds up quick when you have a bunch of different phones/carriers.
Its not like its going to be a major update though? Bug fixes and 'addressing complaints' id imagine.
And I only got 5.0 today.
I am sure that Motorola was well aware of Google's actions and the impending 5.0.1 release well before we were told on news feeds...
These guys are close partners and I don't think they blindside each other. I am sure Moto incorporated 5.0.1 into their update plans.
What I'm curious about is how this will effect the 5.0 rollout to devices still pending an OTA. Will Motorola halt the update and go directly to 5.0.1? or will they continue to push out 5.0 with 5.0.1 to follow in a month or so?

Try telling that to Moto X owners outside of the US.
Looks like 5.0.1 bug fixes were already fixed by Motorola in their 5.0 update.

Edit: the English is broken because he originally wrote that in Spanish and google + translated it.
Good to know.
