Hi Folks,
Petty I suppose, but I can't stand when apps 'zoom' open. I just like them to pop open and that's it.. Anyway to get rid of it in build.prop or wherever?
Many thanks,
Chris
Depends on what launcher use are using.
Many launchers have that as an option.
I am using GO, but am having troubles figuring out how to turn zooming off..
thanks.......

Hello everyone,
Got my Xoom over the weekend and so far am loving it! But for right now my main problem is you can't add a folder onto your home screen. Does anyone have any solutions for this?
Thanks in advance
Try circle launcher. No idea if it'll work but worth a go.

Alright I'll give it a try thanks.
Edit: Checked out the app but realized that you have to pay for it. Any apps that are free you know of?

I love folder organizer lite. Free on the market and works perfectly on xoom.
Is there an app out there that can show what is currently using wifi on the Nexus 7? I just picked up my tablet and I noticed that there is wifi activiy and I would like an app that shows what exactly is using the connection since I don't have anything running that should be having a constant connection? So kind of like a firewall but without the need to block programs. I just want to see what is using the connection
Just look at the notification bar. It is posted there.

The notification bar does not tell me what process is using the internet. The wifi icon just shows network activity. I want to know what is causing that network activity
Oh, my bad man. I thought you needed to know which network you are on. Sorry about that. In fact I've been looking for something like that too.
You could always try using the data usage feature in your settings to see what might be doing it. Go to it, wait a minute or so and then refresh it. Whatever numbers have changed in that time are the culprits.
Afterwards I'd recommend Droidwall if you actually do want to block certain apps from the internet. Assuming you're rooted that is.

Yeah same here. I've been waiting for them to find some way to make it work for 4.x for a while now. That app was awesome

Works for me, but whenever I get an app that does that I clear the cache and data then reboot and log in again. So far that has cleared up any issue with an app that is compatible with any of my devices.
Been working fine for me since day one. Have you tried re-installing?

Perfectly okay with me. I can even stream movies from my Drop Box without cluttering with my clearwire 1.5 Mbps wifi !

Clear app data and cache. Uninstall then reinstall.
Tried all of the above and still doesn't work, I'm using the tablet UI if that has anything to do with it, but I doubt it would.

Did you tweak the dpi? Does any other cloud service do the same? Try minus, cubby, skydrive, etc...
But saying that, dropbox has been working since day 1 for me as well.

That's why it does not work. Go back to the standard dpi and get it setup. I think you can then change dpi and it will work.

I used the True Tablet Ui Patch (Link) And completely forgot to make a backup beforehand, Not sure if I can just change the DPI back again, But I'll check.
Edit: I can't, The DPI is currently at 213 |:
Edit 2: Got it working, thanks for the help.
May seem silly to most, but is there a way to compile a ROM for the kindle without all the extra stuff the kindle does not even support? Like Bluetooth, sound recorder, vibrate setting and more.
Thanks for any info.

I always end up going to APPS and then disabling the phone stuff.
works for me
Thanks
I agree with the OP, but I do normally go and disable them in Titanium too.

I downloaded Battlelog ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ea.bf3bl.inc) last night along with the launch of BF4. Apparently, while you are playing, you are supposed to be able to use your phone or tablet to view the battle map. On my 10.1 tablet, I was able to get this feature to work, but not on my Note 3. Since the resolution of my Note 3 is better than the 10.1 tablet, shouldn't I be able to put my phone into some kind of tablet mode?
So my most immediate question is, does anyone know how to make this program recognize my Note 3 as a tablet instead of a phone? And, by the way, I'm not rooted.

You need to be actively playing or just launching a game. Notice at the bottom of your browser, you have a blue bar appear. In that bar, at the bottom towards the right on my system, you should see "Battlescreen" as one of 3 buttons. If you have a dual monitor set up, you can use your second monitor as the Battlescreen window in your browser. Its the same procedure on the tablet.
What you need to do is eject that trash game and go by ghosts on tuesday

Lol... Nah, COD is about as fun as Candy Crush Saga or Solitaire. BF4 has every aspect of a game possible, ground pounder, tank's, apc's, helicopter's, jet's, boat's, gunship's. Run and gun only is not for me.
Back to the main question, does anyone know how to make a program think its installed on a tablet?

I would like this feature as well. I'm sure dice will possibly allow the battle map on future updates for phones. Can you imagine commander mode on your phone.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yx0a-C4xGTM have you tried something along these lines? (found by googling 'run android tablet apps on phone'), dice has said the commander app will only be available on tablet, its probably the same for battlescreen. let us know how it goes!

Have you tried to use the app settings module in xposed. Use this to rn tablet mode and change dpi accordingly.
