Does anyone actually like the CRT on mod (where the screen looks like a CRT monitor when turned on). CleanGB ROM has this mod, and it seems to make there be a noticeable delay when turning the screen on. I was wondering what other people's opinions were that had this mod (whether in CleanGB or other ROMs). I've noticed several other people complaining about the screen on lag time in the CleanGB thread, and I was wondering what the general consensus was.

I don't get any screen lag when turning the screen on.
It may not be related but I do notice that I am getting worse battery life ever since I flashed the mod. Probably just my imagination.
It took me a little while to get used to with CRT on. Might be nice to have the option to flash it individually.
The scrollable status bar seems like way too many unnecessary options IMHO.

Try wiping battery stats. After I flashed the rom my battery went down 25% over a 5 minute period but after I wiped battery stats that doesn't happen anymore. It seemed like more of a reporting artifact than battery power not being availiable.

Edit: must amend. I was using Samarai 2.0.8 and it was great. Just trying out 3.2.0 and wake lag is unbareable. Press button one one thousand two screen comes on. Going back to older samauri

its neat but gets old
I like how it looks, but when I hit the wake button, it doesn't wake right up. Its not a lag per-say, but the phone would wake up -animation faster. I realize its a small amount, but noticeable.

Just now. I was on xda app and suddenly the screen started having a titty attack (its happened numerous times before on froyo)
i wasnt worried cuz i figured my processor was just being overworked so i downclocked it to 400mhz.
Usually this happens in miren or dolphin. Then it clicked. It MUST BE ALL THE ENERGY BEING USED TO RENDER THE WHITE! cuz i always use my [phone at or near max brightness....
the thing was, i lowered the brightness and it stopped, but then it just shut off....i had to unplug it and plug it back in for the charger to even start charging it again.
So my question...is the screen dying (which means it has been for a while.) or is the processor dying (which means it has been for a while lol)
just wonderin are you using a stock battery or a cheapy from ebay? i had this happen too, and it turned out to be neither the screen or the core. it was only happening when i was using my aftermarket chinese battery.
im using stock battery
maybe its not getting enough juice anymore? i do plug my phone into things alot...lol

I had a screen crap out on me. I had similar symptoms leading up to it. The next thing that happened was the touchscreen became unresponsive unless keyboard was open. Then it stopped altogether. Thank goodness for my insurance because it did die. When I took it to a Repair store they had to open a new one to replace it because it is not a common issue.

How bad is it, I know we can all experience the screen f'ing up just by raising the brightness all the way and go to settings>display>and uncheck power save mode then go to any screen that is white. Its a problem with the super amoled.
But if you have the power save mode thing checked I think ur f'ed

Similar experience but usually only when under 10-15% battery left and full brightness. The screen just can't draw enough current I guess.

Just to clarify the issue here:
When the phone is on but screen has been off for a while, the time between pushing pwr button and until the screen lights up is about 1 second, it may not sound much but it just enough to make one press the button once again. Not what i am used to on my previous androids from HTC.

Probably a user experience thing, you guys who claim to NOT have the issue:
Can you lock the screen and wait for like 10 mins and then on the screen again and time the delay from button press to screen light-up?

Samsung don't use early_resume in the kernel, that Seems To be more qualcomm Related code.
It's that Code that gives you instant screen resume on the HTC devices et al.
I found this a niggle on the note as well, but have got Used to it,especially compared to amount of work it would take to fix it.
So I rooted and froze all I felt comfortable with (almost all of the bloat and non used) and seemed to have a few more moments of jitters. I thought it was my fast moving in and out of apps, or my games causing the hardware to stumble, but now think its totally hardware.
My question is, after switching to force GPU settings in developer options, has anyone noticed it stopping? Or at least a marked decrease in episodes?
Disable HW overlays and force GPU rendering of 2d being the two options I'm using. I just started last night and already I'm noticing things seem much snappier and no stutters.

Is anyone having issues with the LG G2 touch screen.
The things I'm noticing is
guesture typing it loses it's trail and begins a new word. So if I'm trying to spell "Think," it'll get the "TH" then space it out and get some other string of letters etc.
Web Browsing; it'll click a link I'm not trying to
Zooming in on photos and scrolling while it's zoomed it'll sparatically zoom out or move to the next pic
There's several other things that I can't seem to get to replicate! Anyway with my research here's what I came up with.
My issue is much like this but far less easy to replicate!!! And not nearly as bad. How ever I was able to do it when my phone started having symptoms I pulled up the note pad and it did exactly like this just way less significant.

Just noticed that mine does the same thing... But it's not consistent, only happens once in a while. After I reboot it's fine. Really weird.
I posted earlier, looks like it didn't make it up. I had same issue, I tried flashing back to stock, assuming I had done something with rooting it, tried making sure that it was not an issue with ram bring to low, nothing fixed it. Took phone back to att, replaced it, havent had the issue once since then. I'm rooted, flashed and modded work no I'll effects. If you are within your return period, I would suggest that you return.

Are you just going to wait until the nexus 5 comes out and then take your g2 back, tell them that this is the second one that has done this, and demand they replace it with the "newer g2" ie Nexus 5? I thought about this!
I'm hoping this is a software issue..mine is really annoying
Found something wierd with developer options on this build. Not sure if I should post this in q&a or here, but general gets more traffic so.
Anyways I always disable animations fully when I turn on dev options. I have noticed that they do not stay set. The middle option, switches back to one. Not after a reboot, just at some point during sleep or maybe when a certain app or routine gets run. Not sure. Might be a setting that I have on interfering with my settings. Anyone else notice this?
I will probably reset and go through the setup again bit by bit to see what's causing this. Very noticeable when normally nothing but quickness happens between apps, then the stock animations start showing up randomly. Thx
