As the title states, the no contract price for the GSM version of the Galaxy nexus is $599.99 from Rogers, currently better than Bell or Telus ($649.99) if you're in Canada. This may or may not be good depending on if a monthly plan is required or not. I'm probably going to hold off on this myself though, but for anyone who's looking for one in Canada...
Hi!
I'm thinking of buying a Nexus 4 from a play store in Canada. My question is, does an unbranded Canadian Nexus work on European networks and sims?
Yes, nexus 4 is Quadriband and Sim Free.
I would like to buy a nexus 7 tablet with cellular data. I saw on google play device page there is a version for AT&T. I live in a different country. Device from at&t is compatible with my country network. I bought a Motorola Atrix 4G throught amazon.
If i buy from Google Play would the device be network locked to at&t? Should i buy from other place?
It is not a version specifically for AT&T. It is an unlocked GSM device. You can use it as long as you have a data plan for tablets or something similar.

Confirm. If you buy from Google Play it will not be locked to AT&T.
It's not sim locked, it just comes with a AT&T sim card, same goes to the T-Mobile version.

I can confirm this (least with a Nexus 4). The only difference between for example a Nexus 4 purchased from google directly and from T-Mobile is the higher price + Sim card, otherwise you can just pop in a new GSM sim card and it'll work. The same should be true of the Nexus 7, and Nexus 10 with 3G capabilities. (Google as I recall won't deal with carriers that wish to sim-lock their devices).
so basically there is no such thing as a locked nexus 7 2 gen + 4g (2013) ?
I'm looking for a nexus 7 2 gen 32gb + 4g and the seller stated that it's locked on t-mobile

I'm not sure about the nexus 7 but Google will allow simlocks what they will not allow carriers to do is lock the bootloader. The nexus range are first and foremost a developer range simlocks don't interfere with that but locked bootloader do.

I don't want to start a new thread for an old topic, so I'm recycling this one with the same basic question.
I have a chance to get a Nexus 7 2013 with LTE, but the seller claims that it is "locked to T-Mobile" and comes packaged with a T-Mo SIM.
I never thought these Nexus 7s were locked to any carrier. Has anyone here confirmed that these will work on other carriers, before I take the leap?
Have a Nexus 7 2nd gen, won't work with T-Mobile
I bought a used 2nd gen Nexus 7 which was sold as being unlocked, but it wouldn't sign in to T-Mobile's network. Their tech called support at ASUS who replied that the Nexus 7 can be locked by a particular carrier when it joins their network.
I did two full factory resets to no avail. My SIM works in my Chromebook but not in my tablet.
G750F (international Exynos unlocked) or G750U (US GSM/CDMA Unlocked) on AT&T GoPhone
It's time for a new phone. I've been driving a T-Mobile Note 4 (unlocked bootloader) on AT&T GoPhone service for about a year and a half.
I've looked at the unlocked HTC 10 (unlocked bootloader), but I'm leaning towards a S7 Edge. I like the larger screen, and larger battery (since it's not removeable); although the curved screen gimmick puts me off a little.
If I were to get an Edge, would the G750F be the ideal choice? I'm not sure how the international version would perform on AT&T's network, but I know the Exynos version has an unlocked bootloader which I prefer.
I'm trying to self educate, but there's a plethora of info out there...
Any one currently using it? Any issues?
I am in the US and i have the g935f and i use straight talk with a att sim card and i have 4g service. now the only thing that through me off was my voicemail number is not actually my number that I use everyday, it is a overseas number.

Hi there friends , i see on amazon.com that there are new galaxy s5 verizon phones that are unlocked and for only 200$. So after i broke my s5 sprint variant i am planing to buy one on verizon. For sprint there was a lil apk that was unlocking sprint phones with only one click, so my question is will i be able to make my galaxy s5 verizon phone to work on any gsm network ?

Anyone got any info?
I've used my G900V with a couple different MVNOs on ATT and it also worked on T-Mobile. It will get LTE if you have the coverage for it. Should mention that I did mess around some with unlocking bands but I don't know if that was necessary in the end. Here are a couple band unlocking threads if interested:

The Verizon version on Marshmallow is more difficult to work with than the Sprint version when it comes to rooting and unlocking the bootloader.
I've used a carrier unlocked g900v for about a year now it works on at&t networks and t-mobile networks just fine I get edge through 4g lte service connectivity on cm based roms
Bootloader unlock method by getex works on kitkat through Mm firmware and only Cid 15 devices can get bootloader unlock oh and check out Groupon for carrier unlocked Refurbished g900v there normally cheaper than amazon for Refurbished phones
