MMS won't download..

9 time out of 10 if someone send me a picture to my epic.. I have to download the picture and its unsucessful, almost every single time.. and its not just MY phone, because my girl has the same phone and her phone does it too. Mines is rooted, her phone is just stock.. how can we fix this problem??

Are you trying to download them over wifi? Apparently sprint doesn't like that, try it on 3g

This. Sprint's MMS server is not accessible over the public internet, thus you must download on 3G.

Most Sprint phones will automatically run the data transfer over 3G (without manually turning off/on wifi), not the Epic though.
That said, many of the custom ROMs resolve this issue (including Heroic, which I run).

Market Issues

I'm having a serious issue with the market and I have not been able to find any solutions. No matter what I do, applications will not download. I've wiped cache, dalvik cache, even a factory reset or three and nothing. So I odined back to stock di18 and it still won't download anything. Anyone have any ideas?

Lol - we made threads within a minute.

I tried wifi and still a no-go.

Same problem here. Tried downloading an update, and says "Download Unsuccessful" in the notification bar.

I have 2 friends that have the epic 4g and are having the same issue! I rooted the phone for them using the one click root 2.4 and upgrade both to froyo 4.2 beta! I cant say if they had this issue before or not, but they definitly have it now.
Problem: open market try to download any app, it will say that it will download shortly and show briefly in the notification window but then just goes away and never downloads.
I have try connected and disconnected from wifi. Problem still exsist.

Haha I was concerned it was something I did so I explored all my options! But I've got backups for a reason . Anyway as was said in the other post it's working now so no issues anymore! haha

Mandatory Update? What is it?

Woke up this morning with an update on my Epic4g via voicemail.
Anyone else receive this? I would like to check it out but Im currently rooted and a custom rom sooo yea.

Could just be the voicemail update. I got I a while ago and it worked fine on my phone with a rooted custom rom.

Thats what I expected, I just didnt want to jump on the update and crash my phone.

yea it should all good. I've heard of it not finishing the install on some roms but to my knowledge it shouldn't break anything.

Hmmmm... Mostly stock Epic here, but I've noticed that after this update: My voicemail widget no longer works. It shows unable to load on the screen. If I create a shortcut to the app, it works fine. Problem is, there's no indicator of how many voicemails you have without the widget.
EDIT: Sorry... Didn't reboot the phone. That fixed it. It helps if you read ALL the distructions

sprint tv error: you must be a sprint customer...

getting an error when trying to open Sprint TV :"you must be a sprint customer to use this application."
I am running Misfit's 2.3 ROM, which is the leaked 2.3 Sense ROM. Sprtin TV worked after flash (been flashed for about a week.) Now all of a sudden not working.
Ideas?

Are you using Verizon prl by any chance? And you doing it in 3G right? Not wifi?

Have you changed your sprint notification to something else. I changed mine using the qpst method. It would not allow me to activate any sprint apps. Switched it back and every thing works fine.

not unless Misfit included it with his rom, which seems wrong only because it is built off the leaked HTM rom. How do I know??

you lost me - where do I find these settings? I flashed the ROM, pulled the Sprint TV app from a Ti backup and it worked, then it stopped working.

Update your PRL / Profile, then reboot. See if that helps.

Did that before i came on here. Failed messages say generic network failure. Guess its them not me

I just had to call and rip sprints stuff cause my service was supposed to be fixed in october now its not till Janruary so yeah im pissed beyond belief, their looking to lose me back to T-Mobile, i mean whats the use of their TRULY unlimited data if it and ther service it comes with blows

Usually this is the only glitch I get. I hear they are bringing 4G here. Sprint and verzion are the big ones here. Sometimes wish I could run my phone to use everyone's towers

We do have a force roam zip made up by prboy andd jadeboy but its for MikShifted-G and Supreme Sense

Well the first thing you should do is upgrade to MikShifted G v1.76. It's just a patch, so you won't lose any of your info. You can find the upgrade HERE. After you do that the MOD you want is on THIS THREAD. On that thread was also a link on how to change the PRL.

Force roam didnt work. And sprint data reset code for its msl isnt doing anything either

Do you mean ##775# ? When you say Force Roam didn't work, what exactly do you mean? Just trying to get a better grasp of what you mean.

##72786# and ##3282#, i typed it and the display showing what i typed went blank. The only way to get the touch pad to respond again was to hit the home button. And my phone did use the mod and i forced it to roaming but it still gave me a generic network error.

I am also having MMS problems. I used MikG 1.76. I switched back to x99percent Sense Stock rooted GB update 2.76.651.5. Works fine now. Maybe something having to do with MikG Rom. Mik hasn't updated it in awhile. Just released a few mods since 1.76

Not sure what your trying to do with ##72786# , as far as I know that's not a real code. ##3282# should bring up the ESPT menu, View or EDIT. Choose EDIT then enter your MSL. ##775# , is also valid. Just checked both on MikSHifted G, both codes work. Also just tried the Force Roam mod, all good. If you already updated your PRL / Profile. Try booting into recovery Wipe Dalvik, Wipe Cache, and then reboot.

I have several phones running both MikShifted G v1.76 and none have issues with MMS/SMS.

I have done a programing reset. And everything suggested except the change pro thing. Couldn't find the link. And I still got nothin. It's them not me

Both sms and mms are heavily dependant on mobile data network. If you are connected to wifi and you are in a area with poor mobile data network or you don't have a mobile data plan then a lot of times you will not be able to send/receive texts or mms. If you have a mobile data plan try turning off your wifi before sending or to check for received messages.

Ok I Reflashed the MikG 1.76 and its starting to work again. No Generic Network Failure anymore. Sent mms on WiFi within seconds. No problem at all. Maybe it is the PRL. Try Reflashing the ROM completely if PRL doesn't work.

I called my local sprint store. Theyve been having other people with the same issue. They said two dozen since they opened today and i called at 11am. They have people working on it

Yeah that happened to me before in the area I use to live in. The mobile network was messed up and they kept telling me that they were working on it. But it never really seemed to improve much until I moved.
