Hi everyone,
I'm using Dorimanx-Rom-2.9.4-Nightly-245-HIGH-END-MAG
which is really nice, smoooooth and fast, but I would like to install any htc sense on it 3.0 or 2.0, I tried to install coredroid roms and all others roms come by default with htc sense but the device become really slow even using ext4 1gb and swap and everything, I guess because it's EU version not T-Mobile, so please tell me if I can install only the sense on this rom, and how?
thank you so much in advanced
Or is there any reallllly fast roms with sense for the EU HD2, I tried many roms, I even damaged my two (16GB) sd cards, just trying to find the faster rom , tried to build one, but nothing, I always stuck with slow roms
HTC Sense is for Sense ROMS only.
You cannot install it on any other ROM.
thank you so much mate for replay, another question can I add it when I'm building a rom? like should I use different Kernal or what should I do to have it
Hey guys! Sorry to ask this question for the millionth time, but which custom WP7 rom do you guys prefer to use?
I'm currently on HD2O 7720 and i plan on updating to 7740, but can't decide which one.
The battery life, bugs/glitches, function, etc. all play into which rom works out for me. i don't care about the games or the little stuff; just the rom that can maintain perfect function without crashing.
thanks again!

Yuki ROM lock cards and dont have many other options...
best ROM (especially if you want play XBL games ) is Pdaimatejam Rom
I'm using XBMod/Yuki updatable rom and I find it brilliant, much less hassle than the others as it behaves like a normal windows phone 7 device. I also have no issues playing XBL games

and Rise of Glory to?
i was also thinking about updating using PDAamiatejam's rom. everyone says great things about it.
I can play XBL games fine with HD2O. I can't say it plays the newer games well because i don't have recent games, but with the games i do have, it's smooth and acts like a normal WP7.
I also read a lot of good things about Yuki's, but i don't want to go through the hassle of a locked SD card knowing i may update or flash a different rom in the future.
and thanks for your input guys. much appreciated!
Hi guys!
Using this same topic to my question to don't opening other, o have HD2O 7720 too, and it's simple to update to a new 7740 rom like PDAamiatejam's rom? I need to change radio, etc?
Thanks!
Xbox Yuki room here
Just a heads up, They dont tend to like "best ROM" threads on here, Too Subjective and hurts peoples feelings
Why, Xbox/Yuki?
Simple, ive not flashed a ROM since the initial V2 release several months ago,
everything works, any im already Running the lastest Build 8107, not sure what people are saying about XB Live games, they work fine.
SD card lock is a good thing, someone steals my phone, theres no way of opening my data, if card is unlocked (or locked with no password) then its possible to gain access to the contents.
I think overall, you have Choice with Cab updatable ROMs, its a bit more hassle setting up, but once your done, your done, there has just been a ROM update there, im not going to do that, but i can still update to 8107, again, choice is king, oh an stability is perfect, but only if you have a compatible SD card, id assume thats the same for the other ROMs.
All latest WP7 roms are the same.
Either you want to use one that you can configure your own way without cooking it.
So you can use the Yuki XBmod and once it's flashed once, you can customize it your own way with XBmod cabs. Also you can keep upgrading it via zune or cab and without having to flash the device. The drawback is that is tough to get it working properly with high speed class.
Either you want to configure it your own way cooking it, and then you get pretty clear informations from Yuki to do so.
Either you don't want to configure anything and then you can use any other preconfigured rom but they are quite the same, so depending on your taste you might like one more than an other. The drawback is that if you want to upgrade the WP7 OS, you will have to keep flashing your device and re-install everything each time you will flash your device.
Also if you plan to use android together with WP7 than the Yuki XBmod rom is the best since you can use XBmod cab to specify the size of the android partition you want to use.
Pdaimatejam
But guys, do your HD2 sometimes get warm???
It does if I use WiFi a lot, otherwise its fine

I'm trying to find difference to the most popular HD2 windows Phone ROM's, but i can't seem to find much differences. Can someone try to explain it ?
I have tried the following ROM's:
[ROM] Back to the Future [XBmod-Yuki][Updatable]Build 8107 Ready
[ROM][21LANGS] 05.01.12 HD2O© v1.26 WP7 8107 FULLY UNLOCKED [online]
[ROM] DFT UltraFruit
06.FEB HD2 Pdaimatejam Rom Wp7.5 mango 7.10.8107.79 v7.3 >FULLY UNLOCKED>CABS Update>
Edit: Forgot Pdaimatejam
and you forgot best ROM Pdaimatejam ROM 8107 v7.3
differences in HD2 - Windows Phone ROM's
this is a really good question. It seems that differences between Windows Phone 7 ROMs are much smaller than between Windows Mobile 6.x Roms (where different ROMs could be completely different, concerning free memory, interface (like Titanium, Manila, SPB Mobile Shell), different builds from different branches (COM2, COM5, etc.). But there are other differences that may be important:
- Back to the Future has build 7004 after flashing, so you have to update to build 8107. Advantage: no need to reflash for future updates, can be updated with cabs or Zune, customizable
- HD20: has already the latest build 8107, uses AnDim's multitouch driver v0.1.3, locks SD card (so no WP7+Android dualboot)*, no cab updates (yet)
- Ultrafruit: brings many new features, i.e. doesn't lock SD card, no camera trick required, but many people have random reboots due to new touch screen driver. Updateble, starts with build 7740
- Pdaimatejam: my personal favorite. Updateable with cabs, latest multitouch driver from AnDim (v1.0.4), build 8107, doesn't lock SD card (ability to dualboot with Android from partitioned SD card)
*not entirely true, see post #10 and 11
Izz0HD2 WP7.5 Build 7.10.8107 Public Beta v3
But why have forgotten Izz0HD2 WP7.5 Build 7.10.8107 Public Beta v3?
It is Enough simple, but worker, than and makes (imponiruet).
That possible compare.
There's little difference, backed up by the fact the main developers are now working together, everything based on ultrafruit has issues with battery and Bt, audio has been corrected in some of them, xbmod v2.1 is solid but lacks some important updates in ultra fruit, my advice is to wait for ultrafruit 2
Sent from my HD7 T9292 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
When people say that a ROM doesn't "lock" the SD card does this mean that I won't have issues using the SD card in Android if I got rid of WP7? Last time I tried WP7 (Back to the Future ROM - first Mango release of it I think) I hadn't read about the SD card issues and I actually never managed to recover my SD card from it - I tried all sorts of programs and operating systems on both my PC and my phone but I never fixed it and had to buy a new one.
Now I've got a Lexar class 10 16GB card I really don't want to break it. :/
Pdaimatejam Rom Wp7.5 mango 7.10.8107.79 v7.3 .. nice at this time .
more good roms gonna come in future
but can somebody tell me how is the battery under wp7? wich ROM is the most friendly with the bat? wich one lasts longer?thank you very much!
There is no correct answer to that... Depends on the radio, even location where you are...
For me best was ultrafruit... BUT! I got with it random reboots...But only on 2G. Some viliages, subway... Places where is no 3G. But the battery performance was awensome... 4days in standby. And I was using the phone... Not often but using.
The BTTF 2.1 if I changed radio to 5.51(without T) than its mutch better... Still need for the camera trick, but stable rom. With almoust no issues... I haven't tested the Pdaimatejam so there is no compare to that.
Wainting for XBMods v3 or Ultrafruit 2...

Alright, so dualboot is possible with locked sd card if you first partition it and then flash HD2O's WP7. I didn't think about that. But If so, why does it matter at all, if a ROM locks the sd card or not? It should always be possible to unlock it with SDFormatter. At least I always had success with it and others too (here's a video tutorial).

No SDFormatter doesn't work on a fully locked SDCard. Windows simply will not recognize at all, so SDFormatter does not see it. Some seem to have even had them locked and not recovered, but I've unlocked a couple using a Nokia - just for the heck of it.
Reading the many posts on the forum, this seems to have improved dramatically recently. Most roms seem to have a work around now, some easier that others.

To me a usable camera without strange hues is important - this has been addressed by DFT UltraFruit and HD2 Pdaimatejam, and maybe some other recent roms.
Also Battery life is important to me - seems to depend on which radios are used - but this can be changed anyway before install - see the threads.

Can. See here and here.
Found this thread very interesting as I am new to all this. I have been trying to download the Xbmod-yuki rom for ages but all the links point to sites that don't seem to work anymore! Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

Hi,
I have a question about Pdaimatejam Mango ROM.
Am currently planning to install Pdaimatejam Mango v7.5 ROM. Havent seen reviews about how good it is. If someone can give me a short quick review i will be really thankful.
That said, my question is, Can i use the link below to install Android on SD after installing Pdaimatejam ROM.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913815
I have read Yuki Back to the future ROM locks SD card and we will have to send Unlock cab and then install android. Also it was said, once we reboot the phone, the sdcard will be locked again.
Does Pdaimatejam ROM have the same problem??
basically i am trying to install WP7 on NAND and Android on SD.
Thanks
Naresh
I installed this Rom over a week ago and i must say i am very impressed. Very responsive, no lag/freezes/crash or boot loop yet.. Most importantly battery life is excellant, everything else works fine ie data email internet etc
Yes, you can use that link to dual boot, there is a video on pdaimatejams thread on how to dualboot too .very useful.
No its not the same for pdaimatejams rom ie it does not lock the sd card like yukis when reboot.Anyhow The unlock cab for yuki is very simple to use .

Thanks for the info Moscino02. I read Tango roms arent that great with respect to stability and so thought i should go with Mango build. I will update tango once its released officially:good:
up until now i'm still using his Tango 7.5 version which is what I also used in my tutorial below.

Thanks mengfei. I heard the battery life of Tango ROM is bad. As i can see from the forum, it's personal preference and the how old/new ur battery is..
The tutorial looks awesome.. I am not able to decide between Tango and Mango roms. Everyone says Mango roms are stable but i havent seen anyone using Mango anymore. Being a first timer, its a bit confusing
What would you suggest..
well usually the latest ones are the better ones, fixing some bugs from the previous versions BUT at the same time creating new ones lol
maybe I'll wait for WP7.8

Hello everyone,
I am new to HTC and custom roms can someone wrote briefly which are the best custom roms for my HTC HD2? (tried and tested roms!) Now I am using it stock rom but I am not happy with it.
1. Best Android rom (I tried 4.4.4 but is too slow and have a feeling is draining battery more than the normal)
2. Best Windows Mobile 6.5 rom?
3. Best Windows Phone rom?
4. Best Windows Mobile/Ubutuntu/Android rom?
Cheers,
Best custom WM6.5 is Energy
http://www.mediafire.com/download/b...3699.Sense2.5.Cookie.2.0.DinikGlass.Nov.24.7z
With bit of personal modding it rock solid & well featured.
Used on all our work HD2 handsets as the rest are junk except for gaming or facebook ...
Thanks mate! I will try it.
Also mate try Android 4.4.2 tytung rom it is working good on my HD2 (Native SD - SD card 10 class 8gb)
Thank you bojan. I see that the Energy rom has a Launch Android shortlink so I suppose it is for that. Just to figure out how to install it...
@ Mister B
I have one issue, BTW I succefully installed 24.Nov.Energy rom and very happy with it! Just what I needed. I am not going to use the phone for games. Maybe except for chess. Simpler, stable the better. Excuse me for writing it in this topic but I don't have access to ask in the proper threads as a new user and I am eager to figure it out.
The issue is that when I listen to the FM radio and I have a call the phone is turning off. Is this normal? Had someone experienced a simmilar issue? Is windows mobile providing some kind of an errors log?
Yes the energy rom has a link to launch android SD build.
I have just tested my FM Radio as i'm on that ROM & no issue on incoming call.
Could possibly be linked to radio version perhaps, i'm using radio as linked in my signature.
Are you also on HSPL2.08 !?
I have Chess Genius, Tripplix & Virtual Pool Mobile which more than enough for gaming for me.
IM+ still works on WM too so can support facebook messaging etc which can be handy.
