I have successfully installed TyphooN_CM7_v2.9.2-cLK about 8 motnhs ago & been using it but fancied a change.
I am lucky enough to have two HD2's so decide to try installing another nand on the other phone.
I tried TyphooN_CM7_v3.7.0-cLK & DFT_LEO_NAND_Android both using Task 29 & using CWM with CM7 & the USB flasher (as per instructions on the page) for the DFT one. No luck with either they both install but I get an error "Process system is not repsonding" which won't go away with the DFT one & its just keeps booting into Magldr with the CM7. I have installed NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V2.9_NAND_(Android-2.3.5) which is working & installed fine but just can't get either of the other two to work.
I wanted the CM7 to upgrade the current Typhoon I have a wanted a Desire nand on the other phone as a change.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Help much appreciated
Thanks
Edit:
Following this thread for the CM7 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951
& this for the Desire nand http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893620
Till now you are used nand android ... so you have the important things (HSPL2.08, radio 2.15.50.14, MAGLDR).
And you installed NexusHD2-Gingerbread ... this means that everything is OK.
I think you can try to download the other things for CM 3.7.0 again.
I've had problems with installing when the .zip is corrupted or something ...
With the typhoon version I would check to make sure that you downloaded the magldr version and not the clk version as it is the magldr that you keep booting into. If you try installing clk to a magldr loader it will not load and just go into magldr loader. With dft one it is probably a bad download or perhaps it is that the rom is an older rom.
There is a lot solutions/problems. Which rom u try to install? Magdlr or clk?

I have exactly the same problem, the only zip NANDs i can install are NexusHD2-Gingerbread. All others install ok but when i reboot it states "Kernal Open Failed" If i install other NANDS via USB flasher they seem to install fine, but then i no longer have AD Recovery Clockworkmod, which is very useful for backups. I appreciate that this is an additional statement but i also have the issue of my phone rebooting 6-10 times a day, hence wanting to change my NAND for testing. I have today however made a complete re-install and using a different SD card, still can't load other ZIP NAND's though.

Hi,
I have troubles with my HTC HD2.
Im trying to install this version
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951
(25.May.11][MAG/cLK]TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 Nightly v3.3.3[2.3.4][A2SD][tytung r10]
This is my installation step by step.. So...
- Install HSPL 2.08
- Task29
- Radio
- Magldr 1.13
- CWM (3.0.2.5) 150MB
-partition SD Card 1024 and 0
-ext-sd format
- installation of the ROM
- fix permissions
- reboot
And my Android stuck at GO GO GO screen. I dont know what I have done badly, because if I use CWM 3.2.0.0 Android boots nicely, but I hear RoboVoice when I try to call. On the other hand if I try to install the old version of Android via CWM 3.0.2.5 everythink works. I mean the same version of Android but 3.0.6. - no RoboVoice, no bugs with falling applications.
I want to have updated system, but it is impossible for me and I dont know why.
So what is the problem?
thank you
Some details:
SD Card Kingston 8GB class 4
Windows 7 64-bit
maybe this will help ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=945427
Yes, thank you.
But I think the problem is somewhere else. I really keep tutorials and manuals. The problem must be at version of Android. One big different between new and old version is AD Recovery CWM. For old it is for example 135MB, for new version it is 150MB. So I use 150MB as they write at thier thread and it is still not working.
If I use 3.2.0.0, Android(3.3.3) boots, but with bugs.. RoboVoice and so on..
If I use 3.0.2.5, Android freezes at GO GO GO.
Hey,double-confirm if u ain't flashing a CLK build as MAGLDR?
Try using this CWM flasher...it contains version 3.0.2.8...All u have to do is connect phone 2 pc in usb flasher mode (MAGLDR), run the setup.exe as admin, select 150MB partition, flash away...
Alternatively u can just copy out the recovery-raw.img file out and use it 2 replace the recovery-raw.img in the official 3.0.2.5 folder which was recommended in the ROM thread and flash away...
P.S. Try both methods first (performing a task29 each time) and if it still doesn't help then its best to seek help in the ROM's thread...Get help from its users.
MAGLDR of course
Ill try CWM 3.0.2.8. Thank You

First of all are you using cLK or MGLDR?
For robo voice, it is only on the first call, just reboot, call anyone or any number and just hit end call.
If you have GO GO GO screen, you are using MGLDR, so why are you repartitioning your ROM? The MGLDR, already comes with its own partition built in, no need to change anything.
Im using MAGLDR, not cLK.
Ill try your tips, so wait for my report
And what about falling applications?
I click on Internet application or Facebook app. Maybe 3 seconds it works then falls to Home Screen. Thank You
I have used CWM 3028. The problem with RoboVoice is resolved.
However, I have troubles with applications. Internet, Facebook etc.... still falling when I click on them. But at version 3.0.6 everthing works OK.
I dont know why ..
I tried everything
I've read the other posts regarding GO GoGO freezes but they didnt pertain to my issue,so...
I managed to successfully install following ROM: CyanogenMod-7-04012011-NIGHTLY-LEO
it works relatively well but for my particular HD2, it came with no apps market and google maps and other essential apps had been removed or were just missing altogether.
Anyway i want to flash a new Rom, and I have all the necessary items:
-installed radio 2.15.50.14
-MGLDR V1.13
-HSPL 2.08/cotullaHSPL
-Current CWM recovery 3.0.2.5
(i found this ROM and downloaded it)
[3.May][cLK/MAGLDR] NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.7 [GRJ22/Android2.3.4][Kernel:tytung_r10]
i have partitioned my SD correctly (FAT 32) and when i enter bootloader and scroll down to "ad recovery" it proceeds to the "GoGoGo" screen and freezes here, never allowing me any further until i remove the battery 10,15,20 minutes later
I appreciate any helpful tips or suggestions....thx forum friends
Hi, sounds like you need to reflash your clockworkmod recovery. For this particular rom be sure to use a 150 mb system partition. Really good rom by the way. This and HyperDroid GBX V12 are the two best roms I have tried. Good luck..
Dear ALL,I'd like to know which way to install the cm7 rom better.I use magldr to install ,but follow this way there is only same rom can work. Now I use cm7 3.4.0,if I install 3.5.7,the device restart all the time, can't go into the system.TKS
Hi are you trying to run the stock cm7 on HD2? I don't think the cyanogen team has ported cm7 for the HD2 yet... But fortunately a lot of xda guys here have customized cm7 for the HD2. Check out the NAND forums and pick a ROM. Besides cm7 there are also HTC sense/MIUI ROMs available, and many of them are working through Magdlr (as many ppl on these forums can assure you...). Just choose a ROM and follow instructions on that page.
any suggest

I am following this instruction"http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951",But I can't install 3.5.7,whenever I install 3.5.7 rom,the devise retarte again and again.I don't know Why.Can you give me a hand?TKS
Haha I'm using that ROM too. Alright I'm not sure what you did to get Magldr running on your phone, but I suggest you do a total reset... Ok here's how:
1. Flash 2.08.HSPL, get the file follow instructions at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433. Just download HSPL 4 (the latest one) and flash to 2.08.HSPL
2. Flash your radio to 2.15.xxx, if your radio is not already 2.15.xxx. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787
3. Now download the HD2 NAND toolkit. Technically you don't need this, but it makes things a lot easier. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783
4. Open the toolkit. Do a wipe (Task 29)
5. Click Install MAGDLR and follow instructions
6. Select MAGLDR Repartition. Use 150mb + 5mb cache. The size of the partition depends on which ROM you're using, but for this particular ROM use the settings I just mentioned.
7. (hmm actually I've nvr really tried this myself because I'm using cLK, so I'm not sure if Clockworkmod recovery is already installed at this point. Just turn on your phone and hold the power button to get into the MAGDLR menu, then select AD recovery. If CMR loads then pls skip this step) Select MAGLDR update recovery and update CMR
8. Alright now you can put the ROM file (a .zip file) into the SD card and use the install zip from sdcard option to flash, then everything should be fine
Hopes this helps
I have installed Android to NAND on a HD2 using the instructions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905060
The ROM works and the phone works nicely as an Android phone, but I can't use ROM Manager. If I try to use ROM Manager to flash a different ROM it will download the file to flash and then restart the phone.
The phone will just boot as usual back into Android.
If I try going into MAGLDR and then into AD Recovery and Manually flashing the downloaded file it fails.
Is there some other setting I need here? Does ROM Manager work for other HD2's?
Thanks,
ANkh
I have the same problem. I installed Android (TyphooN CyanogenMod) on NAND with magldr and everything works pretty nice. When I go into ROM Manager, I can see the updates and even download them, but when I go to install, it just reboots the phone. I see others that have had success with the HD2 and Rom Manager on this forum. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
rom manager only works with clk bootloader, not with magldr.
^^^^^^^^^
True, ROM Manager needs cLK's Bootloader to work.
But cLK Lacks RMNET (you can call it stable data connection)
Yes ROM Manager only works with cLK, but just to add I use cLK and I use ROM manager at least three times or sometimes more a week.
Also I have been using cLK for several months now and I personally prefer it to MAGLDR< but that may not be the case for everyone else. I do admitt the data signal does suffer sometimes with it but the ability to use ROM Manager, charge my battery when off, and last but not lest being able to use \ADB fastboot commands is worth it to me.
Thanks for getting back to me guys.
I'll considering switching to cLK.
Thanks,
ANkh
Someone please help me!! Before all i problems my phone kept freezing in boot and i tried everything by cleaning my sd, ad hard reset and changing builds and the same boot freeze kept happening. So after getting tired of that and having to hard reset everyday i eventually flashed TMOUS stock rom then after tried to do the magldr 113 isntall. I got magldr installed on my phone and then i choose the ad recovery. When i do i get this message "no boot source". I tried looking up on these forums and can't find anything to fix my problems. Someone please help me with a step-by-step guide. I don't want to own an hd2 running the crummy wm6.5 :/ I NEED ANDROID

do this...depending on the recommended recovery size (typically 5-150-5 for non sense versions) download a recovery from here ..then restart you phone...go into magldr...go to flasher...once the usb is linked to pc run daf.exe from the recovery (extracted folder)...u will then have recovery installed

Great ! I will try it out as well. I have been getting this error for the last few times. I am not sure why this happened.
I installed a WP7 rom and then went back to android (hopeless battery drain with my SD card ... not sure if I can ever do something about that). I could not get back to AD recovery.
Thanks again !

If you loaded WP7 it may have locked your SD Card - need to format in a Nokia phone. Or reduced the usable size to 200mb - this can be fixed with a partitioning tool from PC
when go back and forth between WP7 and Android the nand is overwritten ... thats why you loose your AD recovery.
REMEMBER - if you ever try WP7 and come back to Android dont forget youll need to task 29 (to clean out that nasty M$ dirt!), flash magLDR, flash recovery ( i usually stick with a 200 mb partition, as i usually run Hyperdroid, AND that way there are no worries about bad blocks), and then the rom.
although its not NECESSARY its recommended buuuut to avoid weird restarts, FCs, and any other random glitches that may occur down the short road ITS NECESSARY! :-D
good luck
hello everyone! I just installed android on my HTC HD2 successfully but when the phone reboot, shows me the MAGLDR says me that android booting from start and I have to setup android everytime I reboot the phone from the start. someone help me passing this step. thankyou in advance
