Hi, with no success installing Hyperdroid I decided to install this ROM:
MDJs_CyanogenMod7_v2.6_NAND_A2SD+CWM.zip
Installed:
Radio - 2.15.50.14
HARDSPL - 2.08
Magldr - v1.11
CWM Rec - v3.0.0.5
I took Hyperdroid off by doing a task 29 and re-installing everything again along with the new ROM (above).
On restarting the device, the blue Android comes up but the phone doesn't go any further. I've left it for up to half hour and still nothing. Tried resetting several times and still the same thing.
What am I doing wrong ??
Also, is there a way to easily remove a previous ROM without having to taks 29?
Thanks
I don't know about MDJ's ROM's , but they are pretty much old.
I assume your problems are being derived from not using the proper partition size.
Installing CWM is not enough, you need the proper partition as well.
As far as I know MDJ never made and CWM builds; I recommend going with Typhoon CM7 NAND... way better than MDJ - and there is no issues as with MDJ not willing to provide the source of his ROM (in other words - it may do whatever and however and be unsafe from the financial perspective - you never can find out).
Thanks guys, I'll try Typhoon CM7 NAND.
Is the HTC HD2 supported as I've been on the CyanogenMod weblog and it isn't listed?
If not which can I use.

...Is that a serious question?
Typhoon CM7 NAND is CM7 and think about your question... is the HD2 an Android device in the first place? No.
HA HA so it is!
How can I get past the bootup screen - it is frozen on the htc logo in green.
I've tried flashing it again and nothing.
What is the recommended partition for this as this is the only thing I can think that I'm doing wrong?
go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=898913 download the 150mb partition if you're going to be using typhoon cm7 ( which is a fast, stable rom) and flash rom as usual in recovery. If you experiment with a bunch of different roms i would suggest downloading the HD2 Toolkit
You can also try Dorimanx Rom, which is also based on CM7.
try new rom like hyperdroid or typhoon, they good

i'am right now using dutty's rom(wm) and cyanogen mod7 android on my sd card.but i want to go for the nand android roms.i've read the instructions thread.i had been very usefull, but i have a small confusion whether if magldr formats my phone memory,so that i can have a clean install of nand rom?
because for flashing wm roms we use task29 to clean the phone memory and install the new rom.but i haven't read anything abt formating the phone memory in the instructions thread for nand android for newbies.
You can still use Task29 to format the NAND memory. It'll wipe MAGLDR but that's as easy as flashing it again from the RUU. So basically, MAGLDR will wipe over your WM ROM. I'm not too sure about if it formats the NAND area but I'd presume it would as it would want a clean install.
But flashing a ROM from MAGLDR/CWM won't simply format the NAND. You have to use Task29 as usual. Then installing MAGLDR and CWM takes like 5 mins. It's not needed too often on MAGLDR but it's recommended for a clean install but most definetly not needed every new ROM flash.
so better to go with the following order for a clean install,
1)task 29
2)magldr
3)flash rom
do i have to flash a radio after flashing the android rom as well, like we do it for window's roms?

That's a personal choice depending on your coverage. Just be sure the version flashed is compatible with your HD2

You don't have to, as long as you already have a XX.X.50 radio, but if you are getting poor coverage/signal or poor battery life then you can, then give it awhile and see if it improves.
But a .50 radio is all that's really required for running Android, if you have that, you dont absolutely have to flash a radio

No you don't have to. But it's recommended to have the 2.15.50.XX radio. Just because it's the newest and that's what most people use.
And yeah you can do that now and again. I wouldn't bother do that before every ROM I flash, but every week or so just to keep it 'fresh'.
Hello,
I recently had my HD2 setup with MAGLDR 1.11 and a stock DHD ROM, however this froze constantly and seemed to get worse over time, as well as all together failing to boot sometimes.
So I updated MAGLDR to 1.13 found a nice rom "Typhoon CM7" I believe, downloaded the radio it sugested and flashed it, downloaded CWM and flashed it, and then flashed the ROM from SD using CWM.
Sadly however this has not fixed my freezes/failures to boot, im starting to think it might be hardware related.
So what I am asking is does somebody have a ROM that is working really well for them that they could sugest to me?
Thanks,
Alex.
everyone has different opinions, do you want a version with or without sense?
personally i like sense so am using imilkas ram hd version ,its fast and very stable
Well i usually tend to go for ROMs without sense, but i am pretty impartial to it.

Which ROMs have you tried already, and what was wrong with them?
I have tried one of the many DHD stock ROMs and Typhoon CM7, as well as Raphroid and Ultradroid.
I frequently get a freeze at "GO GO GO" in MAGLDR 1.13, and then once the ROM does eventually succeed to boot, it often locks up.
Some ROMs seemed to do better then others overall however, Typhoon CM7, successfully booted most frequently.
In all cases I have used recommended radio's.
However the greatest hassle has been flashing them as I can only get CWM to boot 1 out of 20 times after multiple reflashings, it often gives me an error stating "FATALHIT 1".
Does everyone get behaviour like this?
Hmm.
That's Weird I Have Tried Lots of these roms and they all seem stable and fast on my hd2

Could you please give me some specific information of what version of MAGLDR, CWM you were using, as well as a link to the Radio and ROM?
Im starting to think my hardware might be bunged.
Thanks,
Alex.
i am too having a lot of problems when booting up from maglrd. It freezes or gets hit fatal error. Do anyone know a good stable rom that doesn't freeze when booting up,and has great battery life?

All of them. End of story. This is due to user error. Not build related

i assume you are changing the CWR partition each time you change from a dhd rom to a non sense/GB rom ?

Yeah, Im starting to think my hardware is damaged, I used to use the SD RAM rom that Dark Forces released, and I guess it did not benifit my device, as it would frequently get quite hot after 20min of straight use.
How does this ROM run with the 2.15.50.14 radio?
If it is also laggy and has bugs, then I think your phone might be broken.
For me all roms using SD-EXT are laggy as hell and i personally stopped testing those roms as I'm already used to the smoothness of Gingerbread... I'm searching almost everyday though these topics to find somebody who says "This is a really smooth Sense rom!". But never seen a comment like that.
I've read the other posts regarding GO GoGO freezes but they didnt pertain to my issue,so...
I managed to successfully install following ROM: CyanogenMod-7-04012011-NIGHTLY-LEO
it works relatively well but for my particular HD2, it came with no apps market and google maps and other essential apps had been removed or were just missing altogether.
Anyway i want to flash a new Rom, and I have all the necessary items:
-installed radio 2.15.50.14
-MGLDR V1.13
-HSPL 2.08/cotullaHSPL
-Current CWM recovery 3.0.2.5
(i found this ROM and downloaded it)
[3.May][cLK/MAGLDR] NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.7 [GRJ22/Android2.3.4][Kernel:tytung_r10]
i have partitioned my SD correctly (FAT 32) and when i enter bootloader and scroll down to "ad recovery" it proceeds to the "GoGoGo" screen and freezes here, never allowing me any further until i remove the battery 10,15,20 minutes later
I appreciate any helpful tips or suggestions....thx forum friends
Hi, sounds like you need to reflash your clockworkmod recovery. For this particular rom be sure to use a 150 mb system partition. Really good rom by the way. This and HyperDroid GBX V12 are the two best roms I have tried. Good luck..
I have successfully installed TyphooN_CM7_v2.9.2-cLK about 8 motnhs ago & been using it but fancied a change.
I am lucky enough to have two HD2's so decide to try installing another nand on the other phone.
I tried TyphooN_CM7_v3.7.0-cLK & DFT_LEO_NAND_Android both using Task 29 & using CWM with CM7 & the USB flasher (as per instructions on the page) for the DFT one. No luck with either they both install but I get an error "Process system is not repsonding" which won't go away with the DFT one & its just keeps booting into Magldr with the CM7. I have installed NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V2.9_NAND_(Android-2.3.5) which is working & installed fine but just can't get either of the other two to work.
I wanted the CM7 to upgrade the current Typhoon I have a wanted a Desire nand on the other phone as a change.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Help much appreciated
Thanks
Edit:
Following this thread for the CM7 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951
& this for the Desire nand http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893620
Till now you are used nand android ... so you have the important things (HSPL2.08, radio 2.15.50.14, MAGLDR).
And you installed NexusHD2-Gingerbread ... this means that everything is OK.
I think you can try to download the other things for CM 3.7.0 again.
I've had problems with installing when the .zip is corrupted or something ...
With the typhoon version I would check to make sure that you downloaded the magldr version and not the clk version as it is the magldr that you keep booting into. If you try installing clk to a magldr loader it will not load and just go into magldr loader. With dft one it is probably a bad download or perhaps it is that the rom is an older rom.
There is a lot solutions/problems. Which rom u try to install? Magdlr or clk?

Same here
I have exactly the same problem, the only zip NANDs i can install are NexusHD2-Gingerbread. All others install ok but when i reboot it states "Kernal Open Failed" If i install other NANDS via USB flasher they seem to install fine, but then i no longer have AD Recovery Clockworkmod, which is very useful for backups. I appreciate that this is an additional statement but i also have the issue of my phone rebooting 6-10 times a day, hence wanting to change my NAND for testing. I have today however made a complete re-install and using a different SD card, still can't load other ZIP NAND's though.
Hey everyone,
I know there's probably another thread out there with this in but searching for a while has been fruitless now - maybe because this question is stupid. However, I'd like to know if it's possible to install an SD build of Android with cLK 1.5 as opposed to magldr. I would task 29 and use magldr, but sense builds don't work with it on my phone for some reason :S Whenever they boot with magldr I get a strange black and white striped screen and the phone bootloops. My fix for that was to try cLK which works perfectly. But I'd like to now install a Sense 4 ROM to my SD card to test it out, whilst keeping a stable sense ROM on my nand, just because it's stable and I don't want to upset the applecart too much
In short - any way to install SD Android ROMs through cLK 1.5?
Thanks!
