Encrytion, anyone have it in their settings menu? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General

Just wondering if the note has the option to do full device encryption?
Don't seem to have any encryption options in my security settings menu, just wondering if its available in other roms perhaps?

[Q] Where are Developer, Performance and Dock in the System Settings???

Hi,
Does anyone know why these are not available on Nexus 7 with CM10.1? I have Titanium Backup installed and after starting it, it asked to make sure "Debugging" was on. I went to check it but the Developer menu in the System Settings is not there anymore. Same for Performance and Dock.
Any idea?
tap build number repeatedly to enable. under about tablet.

[Q] Where are the Developers and Performance options in CM10.1 config 28032013 build?

I can't find this options under my options... they are not under system in this version of CM, I came from a CM10 that used to show the options just fine. Really weird. Did those options moved? I can't find them...
But if I plugin the USB, debugging icon pop up and I am able to get into developers options from it.
Performance options still out of my reach, I need them. =/
tap build number 7 times in about page

restore my data option non responsive

I'm trying a couple rooting options after the 7.4.1 update, and each time, I come to the part where I have to tap the "Restore my data" option on the kindle itself. No matter what I do, that button is unresponsive. I can tap on any other option, and they work, I just can't choose the option to restore.
Anybody got any ideas on how to get past that?
We've tried with and without entering any passwords as well.

How can I use dash clock?

Hi, I am trying to use dash clock on my S4. I can't use custom widgets because I activated the pass lock but I cannot disable it (probably because of knox).
Am I doing something wrong?

Are you using a corporate email account? Is rooting your phone an option?
No, I just configured my Gmail account. I remember that last week I was able to choose swipe unlock but today I cannot do it anymore. I don't remember I changed security related settings but I cannot exclude I did it.
I'd prefer a solution that does not involve rooting.

I read that the issue may be related to encryption. I recently added a SD card from Samsung but I didn't encrypt it neither the phone.

Another thing I did was the configuration of my university wifi network which required me to install a certificate. I think it is more likely to be the culprit.
Now I just need to figure out how I can disable/remove it and see what happens.

You can clear the credentials if you want (Settings > Security > Clear Credentials), but I'm afraid a better solution isn't available without rooting.
EDIT: Also, you can edit your posts instead of posting multiple times.
Removing the certificates I managed to enable dash clock.
I am still not too satisfied from having to choose between the pattern lock and dash clock.
On my nexus 7 I'm sure I'll use dash clock, but on my phone (where dash clock is more useful) I'd like to have more security.

If you're rooted, I have an Xposed module that enables lock screen widgets when the device is secured (link in signature)

[Q] How to make Kindle app see note 3 as a tablet?

Hoping someone has some suggestions here. The way amazon Kindle works is that certain items are available on tablets and others on any device (smartphones). So if I install the Kindle app, certain items can't be downloaded to the Note 3 because they are "not compatible" (which is crap because the N3 has more resolution and power than my tablet which is compatible).
I'm thinking that the build.prop setting for phone or tablet determines which the app thinks it is installed on. I was hoping that Xposed had a means to fool this. I've tried different DPI settings (and clearing app data) and can change the layout but the app still classifies as a phone (you can tell by the device name). What I don't know is if this is determined on install or initial launch. If it is on install, could app settings even help?
Am I missing something in app settings or Xposed that could handle this?
Sorry, was replying before proper reading. Never mind...
Bump. Any ideas?
Did you try clearing the app data after using app settings?

I did, yes. Is it possible that the install procedure sets the tablet/phone option for the first launch? I don't know if android apk installs have that kind of script capability or not?
If that was the case, would the build prop need to be modified? I have to believe that it reads the build prop to see phone or tablet. And if that is the case, is there no way for xposed to do it?
