Does any of the new ROM support wifi calling for Tmobile?
I want to use MIUI, but I do not want to lose this capability.
There is no cell coverage where I work but wifi is really good
Thanks
Anyone? This really helps

Hi All,
Is there a way to get my hd2 to automatically switch between WiFi and 3G data as wifi networks become available or unavailable. At the moment i have to manually switch data connections depending on where i am.
IE: i have a wifi connection at home an d at work. But if i am going someone else that doesn't have a wifi network, then i have to manually go into settings/wireless controls/data connection/ and switch my data connection to telstra internet or telstra bigpond on order to get active sync and weather updates etc.
What i would prefer it do is automatically start using telstra internet when i am out of wifi range, then switch back to wifi when i come in range again.
I have already called HTC support about this issue, but they were no help at all.
I would appreciate any help you guys can offer.
I am running a Telstra shipped HD2, details:
OS: 5.2.21869
Manilla: 2.5.20121431.1
Rom: 1.72.841.0 (82124) WWE
I believe that WMLonglife will do that for you.

Yeah... it will be able to switch from 3G to wifi. Will be able to return to Edge if no application is accessing internet.
I think ive been given some misleading information from htc, after some initial testing using spb wireless... it seems that the htc does do this switching automatically. And i dont think WMLonglife will be any good for me, becuase i can only get telstra nextg (aka 3.5g) reception where i live. If my phone where to switch to 2g then i wouldnt get many calls, which might not be such a bad thing in some ways.
Im going to keep running with my testing for the time being, but will use wmlonglife if i dont get the results im hoping for.
Cheers guys, appreciate the comments
One solution would be PhoneAlarm http://www.pocketmax.net/phoneAlarm.html . You can set it so that when you enter a particular cell area (your home for instance), it'll switch to WiFi. When you leave that particular cell area, it'll switch back to 3G.
Well I have a Verizon Samsung Fascinate and I have the AT&T UVERSE App for my phone since I subscribe to the U400 package with AT&T UVERSE. But it's not letting me download show's over 3G, it's saying WiFi only. I know with my iP4 I have an app that allow's WiFi only app's to operate over 3G.
My question is, are there any hacks or app's that will allow me to use UVERSE and other app's over 3G instead of WiFi and trick them into thinking 3G is wifi?
Thanks I appreciate all your help.
My guess is: very doubtful.
I get terrible reception in my house.
I see that there is a thread where they use the myTouch 4g, or is it the 2g, rom to update the Nexus One, & a thread to update the myTouch Slide, to make calls via wifi.
Does anyone know if this same rom will work for the myTouch 3g to make wifi calls?
Or does anyone know how to 'fix' the myTouch 3g to make wifi calls?
Thanks!
Go to my video i have the apk on prescription

I downloaded the APK and it will install, however it will not connect to the wifi to make a call.
Hey all so I just got the 6t and I use Verizon and noticed that there is no option for WiFi calling. I guess after searching around Verizon needs to enable it? But I'm just confused as to what needs to be done to allow users to use it.
It's a big deal for me because the reception in my house is bad. I have thick walls (wooden log cabin). On past phones my phone's would drop lte to 3g then back a lot and only way around this was to use wifi calling.
To hold me over I just dumped 200 bucks on a lte externder from Verizon (femto cell) but I thought I would ask what needs to happen for Verizon users to get wifi calling and if it would ever come down the road
I would love to know the same info for AT&T
I tried all the modules and tricks to get it working and never could. I had all settings enabled in the hidden menus and by all appearances it should have worked but it never did. I ended up returning the phone because I don't have a good LTE signal at work or my house. Loved the phone otherwise but not getting texts and phone calls was a no go.
So I know Wi-Fi Calling helps if you have little to no reception on a place, so you can use the Wi-Fi to receive and make calls...
But I live in a city where there's good 4G signal all around (even in the metro); so my question is: Is there any point on turning it on?
I'm just curious because it feels like it drains the battery of my Pixel 4 when I'm at home with Wi-Fi calling turned on (could be a placebo effect)
Anyone who uses Wi-Fi calling who can give an input on this will be greatly appreciated!

I too live in the city where my T-Mobile signal is pretty good in most places. I set WiFi calling option to "cellular as a priority" and if there is no cell service and there is WiFi connection, then phone would use WiFi calling ability.

You have that?? My provider doesn't even give me that option; it will always use Wi-Fi calling whenever I'm connected to any Wi-Fi and then Cellular when I'm not.
(EE, please provide your customer more options lol)
Thanks anyway!

Yes, T-Mobile in the US has few features that work on many popular brands of unlocked models. For example each mobile operator sells their own versions of their branded phones but not many of these operators would allow unlocked phones to take advantage of the features(wifi calling, VoLTE, video calling...)
