Hi guys,
I bought a HTC HD2 and tried to put android on it by the SD card way but everything is failing !
First, I flashed the HSPL to 2.08 HSPL
Then, I flashed the radio to 2.15.50.14
now, whenever i click clrcad and Haret thenit shows "haret :booting Linux" and then some small text appears on the screen and then the screen goes black with HTC written in green letters.
THEN, THE PHONE VIBRATES AND STARTS UP NORMALLY !
I have tried all that i could, and i am not a newbie to android but neither am i a dev
I am trying to use this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1171237
Any help would be really appreciated
TIA
PS OS version is 5.2.21869 and now it wont sync with activesync as well !
You need to be more specific.
What exactly doesn't work?
Android does not boot. It gets to the black HTC screen but then it vibrates and reboots.
Please can you help me out ? Do you need more details ? If yes then please tell me what you need :-D
Thanks a lot again

Have you tried a full format of your SD card to FAT32 format? This often sorts it out

Did you try reading the flashing instructions. Refer to the Flashing NAND Android rom link in my signature. The problem is that you probably have the wrong radio. Also please don't start new threads to ask questions when threads already exist. This thread will soon be moved.

Are you sure your spl version is 2.08.hspl and NOT 2.08.0000?
Completly!. SPL-2.08.HSPL as stated on tricolor screen. Thanks for the response.
And you also sure of the radio version? Really strange that it doesn't work. Where exactly does it get stuck, is it after or during the install of magldr?
Absolutely sure. All info is the one shown in the device. MAGDLR installs perfectly at 100%, it stucks at reboot, it shows the white htc screen and that's all, the device doen't work any more and I've to reinstall oficial rom.
Really weird - first one I've seen where 2.08.hspl and 2.15.50 radio doesn't get magldr to boot. Not sure what else to suggest apart from perhaps doing a Task29 to format the NAND area and starting all over.
I've tried one again, including task29 at begining. And i'm still the same, MAGLDR doesn't show the menu and stucks at login htc screen. I want to cry!. I'd appreciate any idea. All DFT needs MAGDLR, I need smthing that doesn´t need MAGDLR, is it possible?.
There are the Android versions that run off sd card which run as a dual boot with winmo.

well, maybe its kinda "stupid" question, but do you press the power (red) button while booting? I mean, you have to press it long enough, till the magldr menu comes up..
Believe me that i've tested that way, and another ones, so as to get it work, but no luck.
I got stuck on the htc logo screen while trying to boot to a previous NAND version I had. First off what model of HD2 do you have, is it the Eroupean or T-Mobile US model? What version of HSPL did you install? You need to install HSPL 2.08 to install MAGLD cause MAGLD does not support any higher version of HSPL. If you have installed HSPL 2.08 then it might .e best to just revert your HD2 back to stock and started all over again. To revert back to stock download the latest official update for you HD2. You will have to go to your Carriers website and find the latest update if the update is not on your carriers website then go to HTC.com and look for it there. Once you have downloaded the correct update ROM for your HD2 you can either try to flash it via your computer with your HD2 connected via USB cable or flash it via your SD card. To use your computer while your HD2 is off hold down the volume down button and the power(end button) until you see the tri color screen, this is the bootloader mode. Wait until the serial in the bottom white bar changes to USB and then run the .exe or RUU to flash the ROM. If you can not get the USB to show in the white bar at the bottom for some reason look in the folder created from unzipping/exstracting the zip file that the update comes in and look for something like "RUU_signed.nbh" it might not read exactly like that but it will end in "nbh". Copy this to the root of your SD card and rename it exactly like this "LEOIMG.nbh", this is the only file name the bootloader will except. You may also need to use a micro SD card reader to copy this to your SD card. when you have the file coppied and renamed on your SD card while your HD2 is off hold the volume button and the power(end button) down until you see the bootloader and as soon as it says searching on the screen let go of the volume down button and the ROM should flash this might take a little longer than flashing via your computer so don't freak out if the screen stays black for a while or if the progress bar hangs occassionaly during the flashing. Also if this does not work visit the thread on flashing via SD card cause there is other variables to flashing via SD card like size, class and the way your SD card is formatted. Here is a link to the thread Also after you have flashed the official update ROM you will no longer have HSPL so you will have to reflash it befor trying to teflash MAGLD.
If he has 2.08, their is no need to do it all over again.

Yesthey could try to reflash MAGLD by manualy putting the HD2 into bootloader. But from what thier post says.
I can't turn it on or off, I can't connect to PC I can't do nothing!!!!

So maybe reverting back to stock and starting all over again would be best.

If your HD2 will still go to the bootloader than it should be savable. If you tried to flash via your SD card and nothing then either you did not release the volume down button fat enough when searching appeared on the phone screen. Or your SD card is either not compatible to use for flashing, it is not the right class of SD card to flash with, or your SD card is not formatted correctly. I suggest you go to the link I posted in my first post here and read through the thread it will tell you how to solve any of these problems and you can post there in that thread also some one there can probably give you more advice.
If you tried to flash via you computer and USB cable then you have to have it say USB in the bottom white bar of the bootloader, other wise it will not flash the ROM. Also you have to make sure you run the exe or RUU right to flash from your computer.
I hope you can get your HD2 working again. Oh yeah you never said what model HD2 you have.
Also what carrier are you with?
OMG I did it!! hehehe thanks again!! i connect phone via usb to my pc when I had this colours and then I instal again on phone ROM and it works!!!!!!!!!

Glad to know you got it fixed. Just be carful and follow all instructions exactly if you want to install a NAND Andriod ROM. And make sure to select HSPL 2.08 when you reflash HSPL to your HD2.

"freezer trick"
search for it!
OK. Your problem has nothing to do with the radio ver.
Error 262 could be a communication problem, when you are in the bootloader screen with cable plugged in does the word "serial" on the fone change to "USB"?
And what does it say at the top of the screen, spl. etc ?

Hi, i ve read almost all topics here about the subject. this is what i've done so far:
i've succesfully installed
-hspl
-Radio Leo 2.15.50.14
-task29
-then MAGLDR111
then i was going to install an android nand version i found on the internet but my HTC got stuck on the green HTC logo screen.
i never get the bootloder menu. this is my problem.
Yes, I have leoimg.nbh in the root of my SD
After i put it there, i got an menu after reboot saying
'radio_v2
rcust
bootloader
splash1..'
press power to update...
but since this leoimg.nbh is my original windows image, it updates back to wm6.5
So anyone can help me how to pass this green screen please ?

He says that to everyone, anyway.
First of all, not any HSPL will work. You need HSPL 2.08 for MAGLDR.
Second thing is, I suggest you use MAGLDR 1.13 (I still don't understand why people use the old, when there is a new)
Don't do Task29, it is useless. And now since you've installed winmo through sd card, you need to re-install HSPL (2.08), after that install MAGLDR (1.13).

When i put the phone in boot mode (4 colours screen) it says 2.08 HSPL. Does this mean that there is HSPL installed?
I have also read another thread and it says you need to update the radio. Should i do that?
ok, if it says HSPL 2.08 by Cotulla it'r rooted, so you can try to perform a Task29 and to install again bootloader, recovery and rom, it should work!
which radio have you installed? if you have 2.15.50.14 and you have EUR HD2, it's fine as it's the best radio to install custom roms: it should see the biggest amount of ram available...
tell me if it helped, otherwhise I'm here

HD2 FAILED BOOT And FLASH ATTEMPTS
hey good day
im quite familiar with flashing roms and all that jazz
the last rom i had on my hd2 was a wp7.8 rom
one day i woke up it was stuck on magldr title screen
the menu didnt and couldnt come up
so i bit my tongue and returned to stock in efforts to reflash from scrach ...
now it stuck at the HTC logo , nothing i do gets it to work again
it boots to the bootloader mode it will accept flashing of anykind but it wont boot pass HTC , i even tried to manuall remove the HSPL and task 29 a million times , to no avail
help !!!
PS . it wont load a rom via SD
hi
I have a similar problem. I had android installed on SD, with multi-boot WM6.5. One day, the device went blank. I tried many ways and the farthest I got to was to have the original stock rom reloaded from SD (leoimg) and it stuck half way with no touch screen response to the input tests. I tried hard reset and install another rom and it went completely blank again. I could boot into tricolor but it displayed errors during the course of flashing any rom. I have HPSL 2.08 installed but not mgldr. Recovery was installed on SD.
In short, I am stuck at tricolor and unable to go any further. Cannot even install mgldr now.
Help please!
