hey ho
is it possible to tweak KF a bit with system tuner (rooted of course), but without a custom / overclock kernel?
or is it useless without a custom kernel?

With LorDMod V1.2.2 you can OC up to 1958 MHz, but be carefull and read the instructions.
Many thanks. Will try em.
DHD frm XDA App
Be careful and have fun.
Ok.. tried to flash with full wipe zip, clear dalvik cache. Flash was successful until it starts to reboot once I turned the WiFi on. And its stuck on bootloop. Seeing the prob, I flash back to my previous ROM. any thoughts?

Read the first thread of cm7 mate...
You should reboot first after the flash of rom...
Never turn on wifi at first reboot..
Always reboot 1x2x to make it as fresh as possible..

Thanks mate. Will try again tomorrow.

How to access the phone SD through PC? When i connect to PC, it just shows charging, USB debugging. The option to sync or access SD is not there.

Just touch in the notification "charging", the same way you do in sense...

Is it possible to overclock the stock HTC Tattoo ROM using SetCPU and some kernel Patches? If it is possible where can u get the kernel patch for a stock ROM?
I think it would be possible IF you've got an overclocking app that runs on android 1.6 AND overclock kernel.

Hi everyone..I have the nexus 7 about a month now and i decided to o/c a bit for the main cause is gaming and surfing the net.
I am very satisfied by the device so far.
I want to keep my stock rom and the only thing i need is to o/c the cpu and gpu in order to achieve better fps in certain games.
Is this possible? e.g the google's stock rom (4.2.2) and for example a kernel? (faux-trinity e.t.c.).
I understand i must root my device but i don't know if i can keep my stock rom and o/c at the same time.
Thank you in advance
Short answer: Yes.

Highly possible. Check out Franco.kernel and it's premium app on the playstore you'd essentially have full control over gpu/cpu anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

Correct. You can use ROM toolbox to OC. There are also many other apps.

Thanks all for your help. So i need to root it first and then flash a kernel?
The rom toolkit or any other app won't let me overclock with the stock kernel is that right?
I think the franco kernel won't allow overclocking correct me if i am wrong

Help
i flashed the non flex version of pardus romand didnt flash any custom kernel like dorimanx's kernel or sth
I am using nofrills app to control cpu clocks
But it wont change anything
It stays on 2.2 max and 1.5 min governor ondemand
Row schedular
Nothing affects them is that because it's stock kernel ?
And what the hell is the idea of making the minimum clock speed 1.5 ghz?
Guys plz if anyone faces such a problem tell me how you outcame it

Post in the thread, don't make a new thread....
I would suggest giving a different kernel a try then, or it could be the app you are using to try and control the kernel. Might give something like system tuner a try first

You can overclock your phone, flashing an overclocked kernel
Your phone is smoother when it has less processes active in background and when you have more free ram.
If you have root you can use greenify and hibernate easily a lot of apps:good:

If you mean you want to stay close to stock Roms, there are mod20c and CleanRom. There are debloated, rooted, fine tuned stock roms. mod20c has default launcher but no stock browser. Quite the opposite, CleanRom has stock browser but no stock lg launcher

The best (my opinion+expirience) is to flash a 4.4+ rom for sure with overclocking kernel, with deactivated zram and fly on mod tweak.
