hi all;
especially my question/ask is to Pongster and/or Hyperdroid team.
i like your rom and still using it bu i have a problem with sound. it is so low...i use some app but i didn't satisfied about them. despite i set all voices loud i cannot hear my phone on a crowded place. with winmo6.5 it was really high.
could you please anyone inform me how can i set my HD2 voice???
With Volume+ (Free Version), my sound is perfect, loud and clear.
Am thinking of using this build. How is its battery consumption and camcorder recording? Can it record at 720p for up to 30min?

Hello People,
I have seen every people very happy, to have video recording in HD builds....me too.
But I notice, that video recording have a "background rain noise"
Here is a test I do, in a silence room.....Camcorder-(800x480)
http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/2237/jray.mp4
I test in Mdeejay V4.1 and Cedesmith build, all the same.
In 720p I don't have any background noise, but have the green screen as known.
It's a build or a fixcam bug?
Anyone have this?
What we can do?
:................
Wow.. you seriously waited 30minutes?!
30!!??
Most people havent even noticed that the HD camera/camcorder work!
So.. have patience
lolol pack tás um pco irritado. Tens de ter calma e meteres a questão mais na thread do Mdeejay
yepp, I get also crappy noise in the background on my Desire HD builds while recording 480p.
hope the devs work that out (sound bitrate increase would also be great)

mccmjoon76 claims to have found a solution in his latest build.
Problem still persists. Has there been a fix?
How about audio and video not synced properly, any of you guys have that?

yea, forgot to mention that too...
Anyone noticed how bad the voice recording is on videos and just voice recording? Any ideas or thoughts on how this can be fixed?

Yep,
the voice-recording quality is really low...
For now there's no way to up the audio bitrate in recordings.
But there is an app in the market called "Tapemachine Lite" which records in really high quality. It shows that the Desire HD is capable or high quality recording, but why HTC doesn't implement it in the camcorder we'll never know.
Yes sound quality is really low and I wish it were higher. It could be to improve FPS while recording videos.
Is your voice bad or is the sound of the recorded bad ?
Lol the voice recording is bad. On videos its really bad doesn't pick up the sounds from poeple very well. Just bad noise.
These little little issues have really disheartened me with my DHD. I was expecting the best android phone on the market just to fond out that after installing a few apps /games the GPS takes ages to connect to the point you have to factory reset, a **** speaker that makes watching a movie without headphones hell. And now my browser is dog slow so here comes a other factory reset.

Mic records videos at 32kbps bit rate, mono and 8KHz sampling rate, but the mic can record in better quality outside video recording but for some reason it's like that while recording.

I've got tons of apps installed and GPS is good, I don't know why it's like that for you.

What have you done with your phone?? Lol, it shouldn't be, I can assure you of that. Have you tried some custom roms?

Hi guys as we know Ideos X5 can record 720p, but the quality (at least this in the factory ROM is not good).
So can someone post links to youtube to show video taken from custom ROM or from overclocked version, or just from diferent video camera app to seee if there is some diference from the stock ROM (smoother, better quality and so on..)

lgcamera app increases framerate, so does custom b160 rom. Some say that newest b137 rom increases quality even more
yeah the video quality sucks, with a lot of freeze...
I'm searching about performance and quality about the camera in this phone because people says that is the worst thing on it, even if he have the ability to 'make' HD 780p videos.
I get this on youtube: youtube.com/watch?v=Im0ZWXO0NWk
This is very poor
Can people put some videos according to ROM that are using???
And photos in different conditions (night, closer, bright, with/without flash, ...) ?
Thanks all,
Vít
Btw, imagine in this phone that quality sucks. Can that be improved by software or if the camera sucks, will suck for ever even if developers optimize the software in the most high level possible?
Hi! I'm new in this forum and i don't know if this is the right section to post. I ask for a mod, an app, a whatever method to improve the quality of LG Nexus 4 videos. On wednesday i'll leave for a music festival where bass are so incredible and i need to record it. I've just tried some mods that i saw in this forum but the quality audio is so unlistenable. Does someone know a method to recording video in a live music session? please help me
I'd like this too, I tried recording a video in the car with the windows up and radio off, it was pretty quiet, and all I heard was horrible distortion, it was complete trash.

Did someone try this? Does it work? I really want to know if I am going to buy Nexus 4 or another phone like Note 2 that doesn't have this issue.

You can simply do a test on speakers if you put on high volume and put the phone near or in a car with high volume. Thanks anyways! I am looking now towards S4 or HTC One. So sad that I have to give N4 up.
I've found the audio recording on the stock video recorder to be pretty low quality and heavily compressed. Is there a way to change this within the recorder app itself? Or it hardware and not software causing the problem? Also, I notice that the sound comes out stereo, but most of the audio plays inconsistently from only one speaker.
You can see [hear] what I mean HERE.
PS: this is totally not a plug . It's just the kind of thing I'd like to record on my phone once in a while and I'd be disappointed if I couldn't find a way to improve the quality.
It plays from one speaker cause it has only one speaker....Except if you mean outside of the phone. You cannot change it from the app its fixed.

Thanks for your reply. I did mean outside the phone. Using headphones or playing the video on another device yields weird stereo issues. I am aware that the two grills at the bottom are for the speaker and microphone.
Might you know of a decent video recorder app that would have better audio quality?

Try Hi Q Mp3 recorder. I have the pay version and it works fine for recording your voice etc. In the options I chose rear mic and it seemed better to me. I did notice that if you are recording voices in the background and not directly in front of the mic that the recording comes out very choppy though. On my old Nexus it was perfectly clear so not sure if that is the noise cancellation messing it up.

I may have found the solution; I forgot that I had Jishnu Sur's camera mod installed (2.5.3). When I reflashed with a freshly downloaded zip, the issues seem to have gone away. I'll keep using it and see if that fixed it for good.
