Just wondering, as l haven't seen any postings about this. Can AT&T lapdocks work with Bell? And vice versa? I was looking on ebay & amazon, but rather not waste my effort into it if it won't.
Why not ? Lapdock is only HDMI screen and keyboard.
The lapdock is sold by Motorola with no carrier attachments. It should work with no problems.

The box for my lapdock says ATT on it actually. But it works fine with my bell atrix.
It dose not work with the similar phone from Verizon though. For some reason Moto did this intentionally by flipping the position of the two connectors.
whats the best deal for dock in canada?
any $50 deals here?

Thanks. Was wondering this, and as a Canadian, we both know how Bell is. No more words needed. But thank you for your answer xP

I am currently have a voice/data plan with Telus, very attempting to get one.
Thanks,

Unfortunately I don't have the answer to you question. But I'm also looking to get one for use in Canada, with Rogers. I've been considering one on ebay from imobilephonex. Where are you thinking of buying one from?
I just got mine yesterday not sure if its hk version but got from negri plugged in the sim from my bell phone reboot the tab and it worked like a charm I'm very impressed

I also have the hk version from negri. The tab works perfectly with a sim card from telus.

I was wondering if anyone used Amazon wireless before? I just joined verizon using Amazon and bought the gNex. As we know the cdma version has many bugs, and you might get a bad one. I asked them indirectly about replacements eetc and they said they don't do it... What do I do now? Any specific wording I should use when I call again?

I noticed they have the Samsung Note for $249 for new customers. I wonder if they'll match that offer at the AT&T store?
Anybody know??

I've never bought any phones from them, but they are notorious for great return policies. I'm sure that carries over to phones as well.

Amazon is probably better than Verizon at return policies.

I've bought two phones through Amazon.
The first was the Rezound on Verizon for a penny, the second was the Amaze for T-mobile.
Know that they WILL charge you a fee (I forget what, maybe 150$/250$) if you cancel within 6 months of, buying the phone.
I did however, have an issue, with the charging cable that came with the Rezound, and Amazon wireless was very nice and replaced the whole package (phone, cable charger....) immediately.

I bought a Nexus S 4G from Amazon Wireless last year when I was trying to figure out which carrier worked best in my neighborhood. Unfortunately, it wasn't Sprint, but Amazon Wireless was amazing throughout the whole experience. They took my return with no questions asked and I didn't even have to communicate with Sprint at all--Amazon took care of everything during my 30-day trial period.
I bought my Nexus through Amazon wireless and I've sent it back to Verizon for a replacement. No hassle, just bring the phone into a Verizon store and they will check it out for you.
Not sure if you are asking for a complete refund though, never had to do that :/

This was posted this morning in the correct section for "Accessories."
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583678
It says *Note: The Motorola Lapdock requires the Motorola ATRIX 4G and the AT&T 4 GB DataPro and Tethering Plan.
I don't have to sign for that right? Couldn't I just use the lap dock as a uh... lap dock?

if you're rooted you can use SQLite Editor to modify the entitlement check to say disabled. Do a search in the Development section and you will see instructions.

Pretty sure this has been posted already. Nonetheless, good news if you're running stock ROM.
Too bad this is only for US. I tried to order one to a P.O. Box, and it said that they don't ship to P.O. Boxes. I even sent a message to the seller to see if there was something i could do, and they said that they ship to US only, so i guess im out luck on this one.

I'm thinking of importing it using some parcel forwarding companies.
edit: cost $80 to ship one without tax, not worth the effort

As I pointed out a couple of days ago.
BTW everybody, there IS NO DATA PLAN REQUIREMENT to use the Laptop Dock with wi-fi - only with 3G.
lapdock tethering charge
I called AT&T customer service. They confirm me that if I use lapdock with 3G, then tethering plan is required; else no charge by using it with wi-fi.
i can't believe i missed it again
Has anyone ordered from one of these from this seller? I did last Friday & have a tracking # but the status hasn't changed at all.

yes. For the deal in that thread it took a while (~2 weeks to ship) for 1saleaday to ship out the lapdocks. Not sure if you'll encounter the same thing.

Ordered last Thursday, out for delivery today via UPS.
My status did not change until Monday night, so it is possible that they are doing bulk UPS pickups once or twice a week. Also, if you look at basic shipping on UPS it tells you there may be no status change in your tracking until the item is actually delivered.
I have a Motorola electrify (rebadged photon) this phone is a beast but due to locked bootloader, no cm9 for me. I want ics.... also Motorola has best signal. Home it bounces back and fourth between us cellular and roaming verizon towers, us cell (1x no bars @ -119db) verizon (3g full bars @ -79db) if I got a phone with weaker signal would I stay on verizon instead of getting no service on us cell, only way to make it go back to verizon is turn off, reboot. If getting a Samsung phone fixes this, I want a Samsung epic 4g with the QWERTY keyboard, and a way I seen somewhere online where an epic was put on us cellular.... Any decent, cheap epic 4gs out there? Frank or email me [email protected]

There are Epic 4Gs at Cowboom.com for $79.99
I bought mine there grade 5 and screen was flawless and not any noticeable scratches but YMMV.
I used coupon code Cowboom5 for $5 off, dunno if still works.

Haha, it was rooted before it came out. And check in Development subforum for all the ICS variations running on it with stability.

Locked bootloader? What's that? Is that some kind of new Pokemon?
Haha none of that over here friend.
Loving my cowboom photon im unlocked but for now I prefer gb roms until hw acceleration fully works. (Im a big gamer) I do miss the epic but signal quality and speed is sooo much better. I ran ics on my epic since febuary and it was surprisingly easy to go back to gb. I just miss chrome thats about it.

Nice one, bear in mind that the new contracts with unlimited internet do not include tethering except for the one plan. This may cause you problems if you get the lapdock. If you have a contract with a set amount of data you can do what you like with it.
