[Q] Navigation Application in HTC HD2 for Saudi Arabia - HD2 General

Hi,
I have been searching for a good navigation application for quite some time now but couldn't find any application that has maps for Saudi Arabia.
I was using CO PILOT previously but a lot of popular places were nowhere to be seen on the map.
I am using Google Maps but it requires an internet connection and most of the places that I travel to normally do not have internet availability.
Would appreciate a detailed reply...

As far as I know maps for Saudi Arabia are available for iGO 8 R3. Just search through the web for more information.

You can cache the maps in Google map (with wifi etc) to use it later offline

Combine TomTom 5 Maps

Is it possible to combine two or more country maps in TomTom 5. So you can navigate from amsterdam to Berlin; or from Berlin to Paris?
Hey, same question as I answerd this morning on Pocketinfo.nl:
No, you can't combine the maps. You can however install the Germany Plus map and navigate from main roads in the Netherlands to detail roads in Germany.

tomtom glasgow or scotland map?

hi guys, got a problem with my tomtom software, because I am using a Chinese ROM and all files and folders are used differently by the device, the only way I can read a map using tomtom is by installing the map on the actual device. Needless to say I cannot install a very big map. Does anyone know where I can get the GLASGOW map if possible? Failing that the Scotland map?
Microsoft Mappoint allows you take out small sections of maps, I had west central scotland for a while it at the time did not give route finding but i believe pockets streets now does dont know if tomtom gives any town / city maps
yeah the tomtom website has the glasgow map, just wondering if anyone here had it and could share with me

Navigation Software wanted

Halo all,
I'm searching for a compatible navigation software for my new Rhodium (T-Mobile Germany). Important is that I need a map of USA.
All my favorites (Navigon, TomTom) do not offer a map of USA preferably in Germany.
Any tips for me?

I'm not sure I understand your question. 've never used Navigon, but I certainly know that TomTom sells maps of the USA. Are you saying that you are having difficulty finding out where to purchase these maps from Germany?
Yes, in all german online shops there is no Map of USA.
you could try getting the igo8 standard euro version

I've tried Navigon - don't remember why I didn't like it but I ditched it. I have both Garmin and TomTom - both of which I assure you you can get USA maps for (I have them so I know its possible). As for which is the best... Eh... Your mileage may vary. I'm currently in love with the features of Garmin but the positional lag is worse in Garmin than TomTom... I think either one would suit you well, but I'd guess TomTom has a wider array of maps available.
How about CoPilot Live?
At least in the USA, I had the option to buy all of the maps for Copilot Live 8, and not just the North America maps.

I used Iguidance 2009, it comes with an 8Gb card that is tied to the software. If you don't mind using this card, it seems to work pretty well - and it comes with a full set of USA maps.

Best navigation for LG optimus one

I have a P500 and i wonder what is the best navi for it? i use IGo but , it takes a while to connect to a sattelite . is there a software or another navigation software faster to connect?

Go for Google Maps
Google Maps is not so accurate over Romania. The best GPS maps for Romania are from Garmin. I also search for an improved GPS app. iGo? I think iGO maps are outdated.

and its have all world map all country

Yep, Copilot is pretty great!
I Use Google Maps (Onwhere version with worldwide navigation) - absolutely flawless. When I have to go abroad, I use Copilot - it is fully offline, so it doesn't cost me fortune on roaming.

What is this "onwhere" version you are talking about? Pardon my ignorance, I'm new to android

Using Sygic Mobile Maps 10 (with TeleAtlas maps). Perfectly fine for the countries I need (Czechia, Slovakia, Germany, Austria). For some others, only major roads are covered though, so might not be what you want.
See sygic.com/en/android:maps for info on road coverage per country.
Ndrive is the best

In India, for me the Best navigation app is Sygic Mobile Maps with Map my India 6.0 maps.
Offline, fast and accurate.
Here in Brazil I've used Google Navigator. There is NDrive too, but it's too expensive....

[Q] Offline navigation in Israel

Hi,
I live in Israel and I am looking for a good offline navigation program for my nexus s (except igo which I'd don't know if it legal) I thought about sygic but it doesn't seem to have Israeli maps so I don't wana spend money, the same problem is with copilot and other programs.
If you know of any or know where to get Israeli map for cygic or other app please tell me.
A Google Maps mod?
