[Q] Bad sound quality on Zte Blade - Blade General

Hello guys, i have some troubles with my Blade. Since i flashed my Zte with CyanogenMod 7.2.0- RC0 KANG version i have problem with bad sound that coming from the speaker. There was integrated DSPManager, but i've removed it , because i taught that the problem coming from it. I've installed Volume+ but the sound has no change .. I really don't want to change this ROM, because it's more than perfect, except the bad sound. ( I'm pretty sure that the speaker is not broken, because feel the deference after the Rom changing.) Is there any way to fix it? It's really annoying ..

You could use a proper CM7 build instead of a KANG. Nightly 257 doesn't have that issue.

But it's the same rom, just a proper build of it without this bug that only happens in whoever's kang build of cm7 that you're using.
It's also the only way that you're likely to fix it.

on CM 7.1.0 stable for about amonth, exactly same situation with yours, the sound is poor both the speaker and headphones. has tried methods to make it work properly but failed. now i'm considering change the ROM.

What's the best CM mod for HTC Wildfire?

Hello guys, I'm a newbie here... I just wanna ask, what's the best Cyanogen Mod for HTC Wildfire? I'm currently using CM 7.1.0 RC 1 but I got some problems like camera sound. The only thing to disable it is to set in silent mode... Thanks everyone
I think it's best to try latest stable version, latest RC(which you're using atm), and the latest nightlies.
And then start using the one you prefer.
Its down to preference, really. Im using the latest cm7 nightly and it runs pretty well other than a few force closes now and then (mainly with adw launcher, but i have modified a few performance settings).
If you want stability then keep with the stable or rc versions (although the nightlys have been pretty stable for a while - just a few minor bugs here and there) , if not then download the latest nightly after backing up your existing rom and see how it works for you.

I'm a total newbie myself but I use nightly 151 and that is really cool. It has the camera bug too, but besides that never encountered a problem so far. You can use Miui camera that has also a feature to turn off the camera sound so the bug won't appear. Also, there is a media setting in another thread here for you to flash and then your camera has a higher resolution. Works great.
Also, the newer nightlies than your 7.1 have the optimize ram/save battery life settings included. You should really flash a nightly, bro.

Do a full wipe.
EDIT:
On fastboot, type:
fastboot -w
On recovery:
Select Wipe data/factory reset.
REMEMBER TO BACKUP.
You can use Titanium Backup or MyBackup.

I don't think that it's hardware problem, because it's a problem of the cyanogenmod. Infact, I find many thread about microphone low.
In these threads modified or inserted AudioPara4 in /system/etc/ , but i don't find any threat about GT540.
The problem is low volume, do you know any program that modify the volume of microphone?
Thanks for your answeres
Today I going to try to wipe my rom, but I think that it isn't problem hardware.

[Q] x5 Settings for .35 kernel

Hello,
As far as I know, none of the available .35 ROMs include x5 Settings.apk. I am mostly interested in the use of the internal microphone while having headphones connected. Is it possible to install it somehow (maybe transfer it from a .32 ROM) or does it need support from the ROM itself?

This. For me, it's the only thing that keeps me going to .32 ROMS all the time. I'm trying to keep ICS aurora, but it's very hard not to be able to make calls while using headphones or using my car's speakers.
AFAIK,the only way to enable force mic with headphones in .35 ROMS is by using this kernel by ksatta. I doesn't work with Aurora ICS ROM but it works with stock .35 and CM7.35, so if you are using any of those, it enables that option for you.
Hello,
You can find X5settings.apk file at the link

I can extract the .apk file from a .32 rom myself, but would it have any effect on a .35 rom?

Thank you very much. Does it enable internal microphone while headphones are connected?
This file from miui .35 and i didn't use x5 settings so i don't know
Doesn't work. The only sound setting that x5settings version has is call volume, and I'm really not sure if that even works...
i see. i hope we see it implemented sometime. it's the reason why i do not upgrade to .35 kernel.

Rom of the week

Hey Buzzers. Today i´d like to start a new concept, its called
"Rom of the week", and it is pretty simple.
I love trying out new roms, and i´m sure you do to. So i´ll test some roms, and then every week i´ll be awarding the best rom the title as Rom of the week.
But you guys, are also allowed to come with your suggestions and discuss which rom is best.
//PetDroid
My favorite rom of this week is..
RemPuzzlerom. This is mainly because of its awesome features, including the new "Beats audio" thing, the fastness. Everything is just so fast and i just love Sense!.
This was a short post, but thats just my opinion. What do you think?
This is a great thread started on my opinion, i guess you will state issues and make comparisons through tested roms. Unfortunately, i don't have time doing this lately to do so, that's a reason i find it nice.

So glad you like it. I´d really like some other peoples to help. Do you have any friends you think could help?
CM7.2 Build 16, not so smooth but extremely customizable. I love it
Cyanogenmod
Yup, i also really like CM7. Just dont know why, like sense better
Grate idea . Will save us a lot of time searching for roms and updates.
Can u also provide links to the rom of the week please .
Then if I may cm9 buzz kang rc0 (erwinp and Arco ) I know the rom still have some bugs but it should be listed in my opinion just for the fact that we were told our wildfire not good enough to run ics . This is my daly rom .

Dont get me wrong, but, this thread is useless, there are several other threads like this, such as: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1485583
Basically, youre doing the same thing. You could, though, comment on roms in that thread to reduce number of threads on this subforum as its getting bloated with useless threads and we, wildfire veterans, dont like it, just like others who come here to search for useful info.

I've been a fan of CyanogenMod, so for now is CM7.2 RC1.
I tested some of the ICS Roms, but without the camera working, I'll keep with GB instead.
Nice thead!

I'm not sure if this is the proper place to be asking for help, but, did you wipe (using CWM) before flashing the new ROM? That might be the issue here.
Also, back on topic, I'm another vote for Erwin's awesome CM9 builds, if you don't mind the roughness of it.
