after that i entered into recovery mod and cleared the system cache and data
after this i got stuck at google logo,(still able to enter into default recovery mod, but i cannot enter into clockworkmod recovery)

Hi,
I am having the same problem.. I have followed the tutorial: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Motorola_Defy:_Full_Update_Guide
With the only exception of this part:
On the computer, open terminal and run the following commands:
Code:
adb shell
su
cp -R /sdcard/bootmenu /data/bootmenu
For some reason the bootmenu directory was not present in the sdcard directory, so I created the directory myself and pushed the files for the bootloader 1 at a time (individually).
Everything goes well, until, after the installation, I reboot the phone. It stays on the Google logo. I have tried with and without the Google-Apps pack, but the result is still the same.
To get the phone back on track, I use the sbf file presented in this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216982
Any idea on what is happening?
I have tried clearing the cache and factory settings, but to no avail as well.
I have also tried a nightly build, but this time it gets stuck on the Motorola logo... tired clearing cache and factory settings... no use.

SOLVED: Bricked D2 & can't boot into CWM - Using a Mac.

Ok, here's the deal. Loaded Liberty v3 on my D2 and it booted just fine. However, after installing an update, I was stuck in loop mode. Booted into CWM and installed a new ROM called Steel after wiping my cache and my data. Now, I'm stuck at the Moto Logo splash screen. CWM no longer loads and the only thing I can access is the Android system recovery.
That said, I have ADB installed on my Mac. Wanted to flash another ROM so I've fired ADB up but it can't connect to my phone in the recovery system.
Really need some help here... this is my only phone as I don't have a land line any longer. Keep in mind, I'm not a noob but I'm not a programmer either. Thank you, in advance, for any help you can give!
Did you wipe cache or wipe data from stock recovery?
Don't you need to be in bootloader for ADB?
HI there... I'd already done all that. However, I was still stuck. That said, I DID find a fix... and it's good for Winblows, Mac and Linux computers. http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-2-hacks/161849-tool-ezsbf.html It was simple and worked flawlessly!

Wont boot

So I used TWRP to install CM7
I ran backup 1st
I installed CM7
I wipe the cache and dalvik cache
I rebooted
Everything worked
Well I wanted to test the backup and load that back on, it said it was complete, but I my kindle keeps restarting to TWRP whenever I restart.
Can someone help me out here?
Thanks
Could be a corrupted backup. Try re flashing CM7 and see if it boots. If you want to go back to stock if the back is corrupt twrp has that option to download the stock update.zip.
Nevermind I found the steps
How to solve boot loop issue on Kindle Fire TWRP 2.0?
Plug in USB cable to Kindle Fire on TWRP Recovery mode.
Bring up Command Prompt.
Key in adb shell.
Key in idme bootmode 4000.
Finally, key in reboot.
That’s it.
^^ This post saved my Kindle. Thank you 4000 times!
Yeah came across that looking for help.

[Q] Nexus 4 Bricked ?

I unlocked bootloader and rooted last night fine, this morning i was trying to flash cmod 10.2 through twrp and it said could not find md5 when flashing then it said it was flashed successfully. I did wipe the cache and dalvik and did a factory reset prior to attempting to flash. Yet when i hit reboot it only shows the google logo then the screen goes black and flickers between dark black and black. I know it takes time to boot the first time so i let it sit for 10 mins and nothing. Everything was working fine before this, the device still boots into fastboot mode and and i can get to twrp anything i can try through that ? Or is efants guide the only way to fix this. No Nandroid backup so ya i hate myself :crying:

Couple of things I would try first, re download CM 10.2 just to make sure you don't have a bad download and make sure you downloaded the correct file. Due your normal wipes then reflash. btw I never check the md5 box when flashing with TWRP. As long as you can get into recovery you should able to fix and always make a back up.
Ok i will give your suggestions a try and post back in a bit. Thanks for your help
If it's the CM10.2 nightly from 20130906, it's a known issue with it not booting. Flash an older nightly or another ROM.
I was unaware of the issues with this versioni thanks for that info. I can not push the zip file through adb i says device is offline, is there anyway to push the older cmod version through fastboot and install it with twrp on device ?
I miss having a device with a removable sdcard

Yup use adb sideload in TWRP : adb sideload path to rom/namerom.zip. Link http://teamw.in/ADBSideload.
Thank you for your response, going to follow the steps in the link hopefully i can solve this problem
Thank you all for your kind help and patience i was able to get cmod20130905 to flash through adb sideload and everything is working fine. First thing i did after it booted successfully was go back into twrp and make a backup Thanks again

Stuck on Boot with CM 10.2 after installing Xposed

Hello,
I upgraded to CM 10.2 today, after wich I had some trouble - a lot of apps couldn't be started anymore (shortcuts became Android icons), Sync was completely broken and I had to flash GApps 4.3 and some Settings were gone, including those of Xposed's Application Settings Module (which I used to set the language of Apps manually).
So I removed Xposed and reinstalled it (by coping the .apk to /system/apps and setting CHMOD 0644) on it, then rebooted the device.
Now, the phone always got stuck on the Cyanogenmod bootscreen. I entered Recovery Mode and wiped Cache, Dalvik Cache and Fix Permissions, none of which helped. I then factory set twice (and did wipe cache etc. again) and rebooted a couple of times. I then tried using the Nexus 4 Toolkit to transfer the bootloader .img file from the Stock 4.3 release and installing that, which failed and resulted in an Error message.
I finally deleted everything from /system/ after which the phone is stuck on the Google Logo and doesn't even make it to the bootscreen animation anymore).
Any ideas on what I can do? I can still entery Recovery and Fastboot Mode but it seems I can't push any files (like a clean CM 10.2 or Stock image) to the phone and install it, right?
Thanks for all help!

That's what happens when you delete the operating system.

Screen stuck on preparing to start.. starting app.. after flashing crdroid 6.0.1

I had rooted my phone by unlocking the bootloader using adb fastboot method, then flashing the TWRP revocery V2.8.7.0, and then flashing superSU v2.46.
After rebooting my yureka plus, and going to recovery it started cynogen recovery only, even though update cynogen recovery option was disabled.
So I flashed TWRP again and without rebooting again, just flashed crDroidAndroid-6.0.1-20160827-tomato.zip and GApps zip file from internal memory. The phone rebooted and worked fine after that..
but while playing a game the phone automatically rebooted and ever since have been stuck on Preparing to start.. Starting apps..
I had disabled the developer options because I thought it was working fine.
The phone is working behind the preparing to start screen.. I can hear the message notification and caller ringtone when someone messages or calls.
Any suggestions what I should do now? I have tried doing a factory reset from recovery but the problem persists.

Try flashing it with stock rom or simple wipe the whole system and cache from twrp from advance wipe option ( but backup first ) and again flash the custom rom u used previously.

It still opens in cyanogen recovery only, and there is no option for wiping dalvik cache or system. Since the usb debugging is of,f I cannot used cmd to flash twrp recovery again. By the way I still don't understand why twrp recovery is not loading.

I still have no idea why it got bricked. So after searching on google and youtube I came across this: https://androidmtk.com/download-yu-stock-rom-for-all-models . I followed the steps and now KitKat is running except launcher is not working, instead play store open's every time I try to go to home screen. So tried the nova launcher but that still doesn't work with home button, have to open through playstore->my apps, every time. But rest is working.
