sorry, but now no apps can do this
i`ve read around that is possible tune sensitivity by modifing some android files.
anyone know how?
for samsung by modifing some values in file /sys/class/touch but there isn`t touch in my files
Unfortunately, it's not possible on M2 afaik.
CM7
Try to install CM7, it has been improving a lot of features.
Enjoy and sorry for my brazilian english
strange that is not possible!
custom roms modifies the sensitivity!
with root u have full access to all system files! strange that there is no file on ms2 that contains sensitivity values
Moto embedded touch sensitivity on kernel. So, unless you can modify kernel, there is no easy way to modify touch.

What about trying to copy the touch file from the samsung phone into your milestone and see if it overrides?
The fact that touch sensitivity is controlled by a kernel module does not mean that this module behaviour cannot be controlled by a configuration file in /etc
on the contrary
every person with a minimum knowledge of linux systems should know that...
uhm never tried.where i should copy it? and samsung s2 ha otherd values dont know if it works i could fuk up my phone?

I would copy it in the same location as the samsung phone
I just would not change the values to zero so that your phone would always be able to catch your touch and you can do your changes.
in order to demonstrate whether your phone is more or less sensitive I would try to write with a stylus
But it could be that the motorola display does not have the property to change sensitivity, irrespective of the software side of things

This is usually caused by voltage leaks in 3rd party chargers. My moto, samsung and iphone charges are all fine, but this multi charger one I bought is crazy. It has a slighty different voltage/ampage. Apparently this can be fatal to a samsung galaxy s2's touch screen. Lucky our phones are solid little units

Alright, guys, I really like Aria, but have a few concerns:
1. Can someone explain what it means to "root?" I did a wiki-XDA search and found nothing. I guess it means that the Aria can be flashed?
2. Apparently, the Aria won't allow voice command on BT. This is a kiss of death for me. Is it possible that xda developers can remedy this?
3. With an HVGA screen, will apps for VGA, QVGA, WVGA, etc. work?
4. Will Cookie Monster's Sense home screen mod work on the Aria?
I have the Fuze now and love its footprint. The other phones are just too darned big to put in my pocket.
Thanks in advance.

1. Basically when you "Root" a phone it means you basically get full access to everything on the phone even if for instance AT&T doesn't want you to uninstall their apps or install non market place apps. Even though there's still a way to install non market place apps on this phone fairly easy, but rooting will make it easier.
2. Not totally sure, if it's an actual issue where the Android OS can't do it then rooting it wont solve this. But if AT&T makes it so yu can't to it then yes rooting would solve the problem.
3. Most apps scale to all screen sizes. On the Android market for instance, it only shows you apps that support your screen resolution and OS version. The only problem I've had with the resolution is when I tried to install Dungeon Hunter it was kinda messed up.
4. Not totally sure sorry ;-(

Thanks for the feedback, CT; very helpful. I've been a WM guy for a long time and just learning about Android.
We'll see if anyone knows about #2 and #4.
I don't know if Cookie's home tab has an android port, but i recall reading that he won't support HVGA screens. Cookie does his development with the HD2 in mind.

Does the Aria have a large enough screen to allow the top row of Quick Links to appear without scrolling up?
Can someone include a photo of their home Sense screen?
Much appreciated.
From my understanding bt voice commands is a limitation of Android itself, not the phone.

I find that unbelievable given the value of BT voice commands. Do voice commands work with the corded ear piece that comes with the Aria?
Is this a problem for all Android phones?
voice dialing by button press/hold on a bluetooth headset is currently not possible with stock android nor is it possible with any variation or app that i know of.
Hi,
I have found tips over the forums on how to improve the screen sensitivity of your WinMo resistive touchscreen
1) When calibrating your screen, tap the cursor hairs as accurately and as lightly as possible. I use a toothpick for this, it has a fine tip. You will notice immediately how much more responsive your screen is!
2) Another method I found was:
a) Install Attached .cab / Reg Tweak
b) Soft Reset
c) Be Amazed at your Screen Sensitivity!
This is a little .cab file / reg tweak created by kevinpwhite (all credits to him)
EDIT: Many people in the thread have said that it has calibrated their screen wrong and they can't navigate it (cab/reg) This has resulted in a hard reset to get the touchscreen back(due to different touchscreen resolutions etc) I will investigate more into this and create a new version, if possible. Please use it at your own risk, and be sure to create a backup of your device.

Hi, dudes, my HTC WIZARD gets "untouchable" after this installation, but i found the way to solve it! =D
1- Download: CeRegEdit (u can found it on Google, with this u can explore your mobile reg trough your PC)
2- Open it (with your cell phone connected in ActiveSync)
3- Go to Tools, and select "Unlock registry" (your registry will be "Editable")
4- Navigate to:[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH] and change this values to your defaults:
"CalibrationData" and "MaxCalError" (you have to found the values for your phone, here in XDA i foud the values for my phone)
5- Softreset
I hope to help someone, and i hope than no one had to make an horrible hardreset

This was created specifically for the TG01, but i think that the WinMo stored values are the same across all devices. It simply changes a reg key to increase the screen pressure to the max.
Please give me feedback if it works for you!

please read the xda rules... no bad language.
This cannot possibly cause ANY damage. i have tested it on various winmo devices (touch hd etc) if so, explain?
Also describe your problem better. how is that gooing to help me, by just saying it ________ my Omnia!

i've tested in my O2 LIFE WM6, at the first time i got trouble, i couldnt tap my screen well. when i tapped all screen, it connected to bottom right screen.
i used my navigation button to reach the SETTING-SYSTEM-SCREEN-ALIGN SCREEN.
the align screen works. then i used a srynge to calibrate it (dont try this at home), the final result is........
WORKS GREAT LIKE A CHARM!!
my screen becomes more sensitive! I dont need my stylus anymore, with resco keybord typing is so much fun.
THANK YOU..

this sets your screen sensitivity to the maximum allowed pressure point. So your resisitive touch screen will require a light touch to register changes.
This is what loads of people complain about? Poor screen sensitivity? So try this out!!

Thanks for trying amyway! It certainly works for me though. It just recalibrates the reg entries for screen sensitivity. It wont male a huge difference!

I always thought that this couldn't really be done. Tried many before and didn't see a difference. Then again I can't help myself so I will try this out too.
why didn't you come up with this earlier? i wasted two years using my htc jade with this insensitivity, finally a solution
thank you so much
Okay, I will try it now, but we need to know if there are a way to uninstall it safely in case if anything wrong happen like that one who had the Omnia, also you should type if we have to recalibrate the screen points after installing the tweak on all devices or what.
Thanks in advance.
tried it on my hTC Gene (P3400) running 6.5.5 and i got the same problem mentioned in post #5...dead unresponsive screen with a few taps being wrongly located towards the bottom right of the screen...so had to go into the screen setting via my D-pad and re-align the screen to enable it again
i think problem has something to do with the screen resolution (mine is qvga)
faced similar issues when trying a screen sensitivity improvement hack meant for wvga screens i found somewhere within the forums...
anyways nice job...its great to see some people still trying to make an effort to keep WinMo going!! keep up the good work!!

first try method one of calibrating your screen on your own
if you try method two of installing the cab thenall you have to do is run the cab file and soft-reset your device
if its worked, and we hope it does, then that should be it, you should have a screen which is more responsive
if you get a frozen screen just navigate to settings/system/screen and align your screen again to get it to work using the direction keys if you have them or by any other means
or hard reset to undo the settings
i'm just sharing whatever info i have...do tell me if i've left anything out
Hi,
Anybody can tell me that how to enable dual -touch on phone...
I know the method of editing build.prop
but will it be possible or it needs a kernel support??

I know how to root this phone
so anyone can help me little please?
I hope you can enable multitouch on Galaxy PRO, it would be awesome!
tried build.prop tweak.... not working
We have to wait to improve this phone, I think.
ya.... i think so...
actually i dont have this phone.... my friend is having....
I tried changing LCD density and fonts and few things but nothing worked because of it's low resolution ..... fonts are still unreadable sometime.......

check this out...before that take a backup operation. And read the instructions properly.
I have no responsibility.
Won't work that way, you'll need to re-compile the kernel and maybe re-write the touchscreen driver to support dual/multi-touch

Sorry for my English
I don't konw whether it only happens on me,but I want to clame that, because it‘s really make my device very convenient.
when I install Stockwell's MIUI-110711,The problem appeared,While I touch screen, and move it,I found the screem was Flicking, and several lines of serrate on it.The 2D display become very awful. So I change the kernel. When I use the kernel that did not modify the fps(neocore test:45fps) ,My device tune to normal, but if I use the new kernel which has modify the fps(neocore:54fps),the 2D display became less responsive,So I hope if anyone can solve this problem,Thanks very much.

Thanks for your post, probably a good idea for any kernel devs to ensure vsync is enabled then, no doubt this will affect some other users.
i have the same problem with the new francokernel and its because the v-sync is off in tha kernel allowing up to 54 fps. this causes asynced frames which doesnt look very nice. if there is a way to turn v-sync on please somevody respond
I am very aware of that. I'll do some tests and see what happens with it enabled in terms of gaming performance.

Hi all
I have a J5 2015 (SM-J500H) running LineageOS 16. I was looking for ways to use Braille input on this device for a couple of days. but haven't got any luck.
I just realised that the device only supports 2 touch points by using multi touch test app on the Play store. I need at least 5 touch points in order to have Braille keyboard working.
I'd like to ask if there is any way to increase the touch points or I have to give up the idea?
Thanks a lot

Thank you for the reply. It seems I'd better get used to the usual keyboard or find another device to type in Braille.
Was expecting this so I could potentially save quite a bit of money.

Because you need a kernel that supports the extra touch as already discussed
