Hi, i just flashed my phone with MIUI, and now my screen doesnt turn on when i receive a notification.
Has this happened to anyone?
It happens to me with Oxygen too.
It's the application that controls whether the screens is turns on.
Have you tried a different application? Handcent? GoSMS?

My phone doesn't seem to be vibrating on SMS or when receiving email (gmail notifier). It used to, but I don't remember when it stopped. If I put the phone in vibrate only mode, and use test notification, it also doesn't vibrate.
It does vibrate when I receive calls. There is haptic feedback on the dialer. When I ask the phone to vibrate (moving the rocker all the way down) it works. It also vibrates with the alarm. On start up, I also get that short vibrate as "htc" comes on the screen. So I think the vibrate feature is working, but not all the time. I'm pulling my hair out here and not sure what to do. Should I reflash the rom? Should I wipe and restart?
I am using freshrom 1.1 with the gumbo custom kernel. I had been using chompsms which wasn't vibrating so I switched to Handcent, which also isn't vibrating. Weird maybe??
EDIT: FIXED! Thanks for the help DirtyShroomz. Sound Manager did the trick.
Download sound manager, hit menu-vibrate settings and turn on notifications vibrate
Thats pretty weird. I have used both of those programs and never had a problem. I know in Handcent there is a check box for vibrate. I just switched to chomp and mine is still working.

Interestingly, under Sound Manager's vibrate settings, the ringer setting was still on, but the notification setting was off. I guess this means it was somehow inactivated but this is the way to get it back. Excellent.

Same thing happened to me, I went months without vibrate
My Desire HD doesn't light up its screen when I recieve a text/whatsapp message. When I have it in silent mode and having my phone standby, I cant see I've recieved something except the flashing LED.
Is it possible to (just like I did with my WM phone) tweak the register, so the display lights up by recieving a text message?

I us "Handsent SMS" and this lights up the screen, and has other features. give it a try
ChompSMS also turns on the screen. You can set it to how long you want it to stay on.
Whenever I use Go SMS for my SMS and for Gmail I am not getting notifications via LED. It doesn't blink at all when my screen is off or on. I made sure they are enabled in the LG settings and also that notifications were active in both apps. Anyone else having this issue? I know the LED works because it activated when I enable the screen or when I turn the phone on or off.

If you have tried factory reseting your phone and you are still having this issue... you probobly just have a bad LED... if it works for your regular texting apps and what not the developer must have not made the application LED compatible with the G2 yet it is still a fairly new phone

Has anyone found a way to disable screen wake for notifications? Every time I receive a new email or hangout message(Those are the two I've noticed so far) my screen will turn on. Driving me crazy.

+1 on that, driving me crazy also and I can't find any way to turn it off.

Just tested it, I don't have screen wake on notification, neither with power plugged in, nor on battery. Also tried with with always on display, it only adds notification icon, doesn't even change the brightness.
Go into "settings" and turn off all notifications
it's also annoying that the screen lights up when the battery reaches 100% while wirelessly charging,
it lights up the whole bedroom.
This was driving me crazy. Came across 'SMS Popup' app I used years ago and it works like a charm. No more screen lighting up when a message comes in. Disable notifications in stock messaging app and enable in SMS popup. Unselect 'screen on for popup'. I like the popup options better than default messaging app too, you can configure the buttons and even have one that reads the message out loud.
Edit: After further testing, results are very inconsistent. Works great sometimes and not at all others. I have uninstalled and it's back to square one.

Whenever I am using my phone and there is the notification from these apps, my phone gets vibrated. Is this is a bug? How can I turn off vibration for notifications and turn on only for calls? Is there is a difference in vibration setting when screen is off or screen is on? Please help

Once For me, my device profile mode was in 'ringing' but when I was receiving calls, my phone device wasn't ringing. I then restarted the phone and it started working.
Same issue with the zen gesture 'tap to wake/sleep' , had turn the gesture on and off for it to work.
Phone is having many issues.
