hey 3xeno....iam on eclair and want to update to froyo...iam having that 60mb file which is an update from shipped rom in my lappie.....i don't want to download it as iam having mobile network and no wifi....so plz tell me any procedure to apply update to eclair....
i had tried that method of extracting firmware file from it deleting .nbo file and then zipping it into P49IMG.ZIP bt nothing happened...my device didn't updated...
iam s-off and evrything....any method done from command or nything....plz do tell me..
I read it somewhere, but, I am not sure whether it works or not. Here's the procedure in any case:
- Rename the 60MB OTA Zip to update.zip
- Reboot into HBoot
- Press Vol Up + Power. This will supposedly take you to the Stock HTC Recovery.
- Here, select Apply sdcard:update.zip. It will install the Zip automatically.
Alternatively, you can try this via Clockworkmod also. The procedure remains the same, but, you enter Clockworkmod > Install Zip from SDCard > Apply sdcard:update.zip
To reiterate, this is what I have read elsewhere, it's not tested by me personally.

Hello, I am in a big hurry so I am sorry for that I have not checked the whole forum but I have to ask too return too official rom and unroot.
I have updated too 2.3.5

2.3.5 is already an official ROM Anyway you can flash the stock rom again or if you want to downgrade to 2.2 you can try this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1369296. Also if all you want to do is to unroot I think that you can do it with the app you rooted it.
What i meant was if I rooted and installed a custom rom how to go back to official whit no root. How difficult would it be?
And I found another way for downgrading witch worked for me and was quite easy
1. Put the dload on the root of SD-card (I used 138sp4)
2. Then go to storage in preferences. Head too the bottom then choose "upgrade SD-card". The phone blacked out, started up and installed 2.2
3. The phone boots up in recovery because of many errors. I choose wipe data/chache and wipe chache and reboot.
4. The phone rebooted and I am back to 2.2.2 from 2.3.5.
I hope this method works for everyone since it is so easy.
Hey guys, I am having some issues flashing roms through CWM as well as rerooting.
A bit of backround info
Device: GT-P7510
Started with latest OTA stock rom. I was wanting to use titanium backup to uninstall some bloatware.
Rooted successfully following the wifi only version forum post on how to root.
Did what i wanted, but now i wanted more.
Decided to try to get Jellybean on my device. Loaded into CWM - flashed - successful.
Now i ran into the issue of no flash support - needed for school work i do on my tablet. Tried to follow guide on installing flash.. did not work, tried the titanium backup method as well with no prevail.
Decided to flash back to ICS. I chose the CM9 ROM.
Loaded into CWM - wiped data / cache/ dalvik / Installed rom from SD card - flashed successfully
I noticed that my home button was not working. so after another data wipe etc. and re flash of the rom it did.
I then could not get googleplay to function just kept getting server error no matter what i tried. I tried installing apk from the web. did not work. and tried loading gapps.zip through odin. Installed other google apps that did work, just not google play..
So i was like holy hell. what to do now. Tried installing another ICS ROM ( the one that mimics jellybean)... It fails instantly after unloading package or something of that nature. I tried about 3 different roms and get the same issue.
So i then followed the guide to unroot - it required flashing the stock ROM through CWM . I tried this but got a status 7 error. Not really sure what that was so i found another guide.
The alternative guide had me load the original ROM for the device via odin. Worked great!!! I thought i was in clear sailing. Updated to the OTA ICS ROM. And then went to follow the root guide again. It acted as if it was rooted, but upon reboot option in CWM it says root access might have been lost.. do you want to fix. I tried both no and yes. Reguardless i do not gain root.
I tried flashing other roms through CWM - they all fail instantly ( not with any specific error messages ) just says aborted.
Any idea on what i may be doing wrong?
What version of cwm u using ?
5.5.0.4 works best for our tabs coz he has not got some verification for unsigned zips something like that .
Hmm i think the problem is when u updated ota it took your root away so i would suggest flashing cf-root again via odin
Just guessing though really strange, perhaps back up data on sd card and format it too i know its a pain but could help aswell

I was on 6. something. So that may be my issue.
I did try an older version v4.0.0.4 which was included in the guide i used but that did not seem to work either. I will download that version and see what happens.
As far as flashing cf-root. I am going to do a forum search but the method i used used the file Samsung_galaxy_tab_10.1_root.zip through CWM.
it is always risk to Odin back to stock and update OTA I have bricked 2 android devices by doing this .......once you install custom roms it is always better not to install official update ..... ur device is not rooted properly just go to unrooted stock rom if possible and later get root.zip then try rooting ur tab using it .......and this might help ...... forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1474971..........

Today i found an working UPGRADING Method of Pakistani Huawei Honor 4C
to LOLLIPOP
yes you heard right, Pakistani 4C to Lollipop...
Prerequisites:
First of all, You should Unlock Bootloader, otherwise all this process is impossible. for Unlocking Bootloader, Follow this thread [/COLOR][/B] Honor 4C Root+CWM(KITKAT) Recovery & Bootloader Unlock by @HassanMirza01
Prodedure:
Now when you have unlocked your bootloader, you can go ahead.
You need to Move to another Rom first whose Link is this,
1st ROM, dont Worry if Language different. Just download it
After downloading, Unzip that zip file and you will get a dload named folder inside it.
Make backup of any type that you want.
Now Move dload folder to Root of your SD Card and go to Settings>Updater>Local Update and flash full Package.
After Upgrade, Your recovery gives an error, but Dont worry about it, Just do these things, factory reset it from that screen, then wipe cache partition. and reboot... your good to go now...
After switching on the phone, download the another ROM which is LOLLIPOP ROM and now its compatible for your ROM. Here is Link..
2nd ROM, LOLLIPOP ROM Final and decryption Key is !ldp5f_t_y7JaPIjCRugiYuS3QOHezIWgQoC2RwCCjrc
Do the same again which you did widout any worry... after it, no error in recovery will come but you have to manually factory reset and wipe cache partition of it by switching it off then pressing volume down and power button together sometimes, when recovery came, wipe and factory reset it and REBOOT and BOOM, You got your Lollipop ROM in your Pakistani 4C...

hi bro I tried it ans installed but my concern is that it shows 4G and after foemat data and clearing the cache it showed only 2 icons on main screen i tried to reset it but it failed on 95% help me. now google play store is closing when I open it automatically
Its Emui based stock Lollipop Rom... From huawei... Nd reset it before first boot.... Try flashing it again...

I tried still it says version and build no not verified ,software upgrade failed ....
It is saying for gplay mini ROM and lollipop rom.
Its not force upgrading.
If any of you guys can give my back up of lollipop ,let's see if I can install back up via twrp/cmw recovery

An indians dont need to flash 1st Rom which is G PLAY MINI's ROM,,, they should flash lollipop Rom directly wid stock Recovery,,,
and @ashripat , Try the Method using C185B120 build,,,, i have done it on this build,,, on B120, flash the g play mini's Rom and then lollipop rom,,,,, also now, pakistani Lollipop Rom is available,,, get that and flash on paki rom,,,

Hello guys,
I finally succeeded to have lollipop rom ,this was possible due to developer Inshaalmirza for his rooting,unlocking and flashing recovery tutorial and finally developer Worstenbrood for huawei update extractor tool and tutorial.
Guys if any of you have problems regarding flashing manually or your system saying check version failed you can do the following steps...(note your phone must be unlocked)
1)Download the stock roms(kitkat or lollipop) extract update.app ,now install the huawei update extractor app and extract the update.app as per tutorial explained by Worsternbrood ,you will have every partition with file names.
2)After extracting you will have 2 recoveries ( file named recovery & recovery2) extract recovery.
3) Create a dload folder in SD card and add the appropriate update.app either lollipop or kitkat whichever you have to flash in it.
4)Now factory reset the phone and flash the extracted recovery as per tutorial explained by Inshaalmirza.
5) Now press the volume up ,down and power key together and viola the update.app gets fashed.(Note for kitkat flash kitkat recovery and for lollipop flash lollipop recovery)
Working and tested for versions C636B070 & C636B160.
Request to developer Inshaalmirza to add or make changes if he wishes in the above tutorial and add in OP.

For example by editing /data/property/persist.radio.lte_enabled
I tried to change this file from flase to true but after reboot it revert back to false
@ashripat in your post,,,, mention that no need to extract stock recovery using update extractor!! Bcoz the stock recoveries for kitkat and lollipop Roms are already present in my other threads of custom recoveries for kk nd L,,,

I got a new honor 4c (Indian) yesterday. Downloaded the official lollipop from honor site and the installation failed ( was on C636B070 version).
I tried again with the middle_update update package and this time it succeeded.
After that I cannot apply any update or even boot into recovery for factory reset.
Please suggest any workaround as I don't want to root and void my warranty

After wiping everything and installing the Lineage OS 15.1 Hltechn，when the system is turned on , the screen turned yellow and then switched to a screen with only time and date . I tried to reboot the system and unlock the screensaver as fast as I can to avoid it but it doesn't work . It still like that , no matter how I press it is useless . How could I do ? I've been reinstall it more then ten times .

Then read the instructions and search the Roms thread for your problem.
99% of problems are user errors .
Or installing a rom not for your model .

3. Full Wipe (Caches (Dalvik & Cache), System, Data(Wiping DATA will clear your Apps & App Data - BEWARE!))
4. Install ROM followed by GAPPS & ROOT method.
5. REBOOT!!

What is the model number in download mode? Does it match the ROM you flashed?

My Model is Note3(N9008) . It's a model of China . The ROM I download is hltechn , I'm sure it match my phone's model .

I'm not sure because there's a website said that my phone cannot unlock the bootloader .
How could I check them whether running the latest version or not ?
