Hi all having problems with my Fire , I did the root and all worked ok until the new update now I'm getting this error message after rebooting The message read's
Sorry , The application Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 (process android. process.acore) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. It then give's me the option of force closing which I select but the message just reappear's. Thank's for any help.
Uninstall your ICS Launcher.
How do I do that.
Thanks
My Kindle show's up in Device Manager, and I can open it in Explore is there some file I need to install or delete from there.
Thanks
It's an application you installed through Google Market. Uninstall it like you would any other app. At least that's what Google said when I Google'd your error.

I've been getting the "unsuccessful install" messages when I try to download a new program from the app store. I tried using appbrain and the "market" applications to download. I have a new streak on ATT purchased from Dell. It worked fine for two weeks. Now it will no longer install any apps.
I'm on 1.6. I am now into almost a week without being able to download new apps. I tried: Restoring the Streak to a week earlier when I thought the app market worked; I uninstalled apps I didn't use that I installed recently; I have over 1gb free in internal memory; I cleared the cache in the appbrain and market apps. I tried everything mentioned in other forums by people with the same problem.
Today I may enter Dell Hell and try to call tech support. Any other ideas? I really don't want to do a factory reset since it will wipe out all my programs. If it doesn't work then I will still not be able to download and have no new programs, although I guess at that point I could do another "restore" to get them back.
Anybody have any other ideas before I try the phone call?
I've tried a lot of the suggested solutions (clear cache, turn airplane mode on and off, unmount sd card, format sd card, rebooting many times, playing around with google talk...).
What worked for me in the end - uninstalling the market updates (NOT the updater) - from options > applications ... I've lost options like automatic updates and "update all" but at least i can now update *at* all and install apps.
I wonder when does Market get "upgraded" again...

I don't see where you do what you are talking about. There is no "options" under applications and there is no "options" option from the home screen either. I am confused as to where you get to this.
I figured out how to do it. Thanks, that did it, amazing!
glad it helped.
In the meantime my Market got upgraded back again and so far it seems working...
How do you know it got upgraded and and does it do it automatically?
Because the features like "update all" and comments on a separate tab are back again.
And yes, it does so automatically (as it is a core system appliacation, it does whatever it - or Google - wants).

I haven't had the same problem but what I would do is clear market data (menu > settings > applications > manage applications > all > market > clear data / clear cache) and if that doesn't work I'd reflash gapps...
Of course I dunno if you wanna take my advice as I dont know the difference between clear data and clear cache BUT, what I can tell you is, if it's not working now what have you got to lose?
Don't think you should be flashing gapps on the liberated roms. Just clear data if that doesn't work the try reinstalling the rom after a data/cache wipe.

Good call, 1, I don't use nor have I ever used the liberated roms and 2, didn't think of that when i typed my reply LOL...thanks for the correction!
Reinstall the vending apk juss let it over write the one on there then reboot I had the same problem and it work for me.... Use something like rom manager or an explorer that lets you go to system>apps and find the vending apk its all I did n now it works perfect
POSTED FROM MY SUPER BOMB HTC ARIA!!!!!!!!
how do you reinstall that vending apk? cause the liberated rom doesn't have Rom manager. i only see Astro manager on the menu. please anyone show me how to reinstall the vending apk, thanks
i had almost the same issue, but i could browse the market, just couldnt download or look at my downloads.
the fix i did was, with Astro Manager, browse to the /system/app/vending.apk > then tap it and open App Manager, click uninstall, and it asked me to uninstall the updates. so i did so. it didnt remove market, just uninstalled whatever updated files, so i still had market.. then opened up market again and it worked fine.
btw im runnin the latest liberated aria as well.
when i launch my Market , and i go to 'Just in', so when i pull down on the screen, it show me this error message "process com.android.vending". beside that, everything works fine. I just Reinstall software on my xperia x8.

Use Google before posting Try Settings -> Apps settings -> Manage apps -> Market -> Force stop + Clear cache. It should help.
Cheers!
i already search everywhere. and the method that you teach , i tried before. cannot works. until i re run the Update Service and Reinstall my firmware. the problem still occurs.
i'm facing the same problem
haiz..don't know what problem. but i think is because of Android Apps for xperia got problem.
Anyone know why when i try to update app whenever it has new version, once i click update button and try to install, it show "application not installed". Those apps are like angrybird, gReader, Titanium Backup. The problem is not all app like that. Some of them are able to install successfully.
Whenever i encounter this problem, the only way to update my app is to uninstall my old version app and install the latest version then it will work. Any way to update directly without uninstall the old version? I am using Galaxy S I9000, Froyo 2.2
application not installed
Hi, just uninstall aplications and reinstall a new version.
Have you tried the Repair Market feature in titanium backup?
Also, try clearing data from Market in Settings > applications > manage applications. You can also try Uninstall Updates for the Market there.

clearing data from Market in Settings > applications > manage applications
It works. Thanks!!
I experiment with some apps, install them via market, after a short time uninstall them. Now, market shows "installed" for uninstalled apps. Is there any way to "told" the market that these apps are uninstalled?

Try clearing the data for the Market app.
rebooting seems to fix that for me. How would you clear the market data ?

Depending on which ROM you're using: Menu >settings >applications >manage applications (if you're on CM7) >scroll down to the Market app, press it and select clear data. You will need to sign back into the Market once you open it again.
