what is the best wp 7.5 rom work withot problems on hd2 ?

i followed the advice in this thread, which was guided for TMOUS users:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327106
i installed Yuki v2 ROM with the 2.15 radio. Things have been going pretty smooth.

thanks dear
but my hd2 not t-mobile

Mine isnt either, but the WP7 rom works, Kinda awesomely infact, the only huge issue I get is the freaking battery life (Both 2.12 and 2.15 radios.)

Hey i just followed that guide and it was great. My battery life seems fine, but i have to put it in usb mode to charge. I still need to test it more though.
p.s.
Not tmobile either. I'm Australian Telstra

Trail and error i guess, jus try different ROM and radios (SD cards too)
to far i tried Yuki V2 (smooth, and fast even data on 3g was fast) but battery drain is a killer, even with 2.12 radio
Pdaimatejam v2 - smooth, everything works, a lil issue with pinch and zoom (a little fiddley) bt batterylife is good, 10-16 hours on heavy use (2hours facebook, 200+txts, and whatsapp) [radio 2.12]
and HD20 v1.23b1 [radio 2.15] - smooth, everything works, battery drain over 3g on standby is amazing (over night only 5% battery drain) bt drains rapidly when on whatsapp and internet explorer.

When I use Windows (I prefer Android..) I use this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356833
Works fine, battery drain is high but that is the only issue.
Good luck!

Back to the future is good at multitouch and smooth but battery drain is so bad. For me, I need to last my battery using time much longer. 1 vote for 7740 v3 of Pdaimatejam.
Here is it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356833
Version 3 still isn't uploaded, I'm using V3. Everything is smooth and fast as Back to future ROM, in addition, you'll get a better battery drainage(my battery isn't new but it run out in almost a day).
Sincerely

How is YOUR HD2 Android running?

XDA, I'm a convert from the iPhone. I used to spend most of my time over at MMi. But the iPhone got boring after a while (had one for 3 years).
After spending a few days learning the ins and outs of you fine peoples' work, I figured we could start a thread to showcase the different combinations that people are using, in order to get the best results out of Froyo 2.2 on the HTC HD2.
This type of thread would have helped me by saving me a few days worth of trial and error!
HTC HD2, TMous, 1024, Running:
*Reformatted, Stock 16gb Micro SD
*HSPL3
*Chucky 23129 (tabs)
*Leo_RADIO_2.12.50.02_2
*FroyoStone_Sense.7z
*Media Pack (for ringtones/notifications)
Results:
*I finally have a daily functional, SMOOTH, operating version of Froyo 2.2!
*No SOD, no robot voice, etc.
*The only glitch I'll see is the touch screen (not often) being unresponsive, which a quick lock/unlock fixes.
*Not sure on battery life exactly, but it seems reasonable enough (if I wake up at 8, I'll have to charge approx 12 hrs. later).
What about the rest of ya?
I have a TMOUSA like you, running Elegancia V1 ROM, Class 4 8GB SD. I've never formatted the SD.....can't see a reason to since every Android build I've ran has functioned fine.
My Android of choice is mattc's Leo + Froyo w/Sense 1.5b. I using a live wallpaper with setcpu and Advanced Task Killer to assist with keeping battery drain under control.
I've been a BIG supporter of WinMo and had some initial reluctance about migrating to Android, but I've pretty much taken a big bite of the bullet. Android is very nice, fast with tons of applications free for the using.
Lot's of talented developers and (of course) the genius of Cotulla creating the images we all clamor for.
Final thoughts:
No robo voice
runs smooth (even with live wall paper)
I get about 18 hrs out of fully charged battery - average 45 min calls, a few texts, check mail every few hours and read FBreader about two hours a day
Wifi & BT working, except no phone transfer to BT headset
GPS works fine and google navigator is the ****z!
I tried almost all the builds, but matt's is the one for me (right now, anyhow)
HTC HD2, European Version, one of the first Devices, Running:
*Sandisk 16gb Micro SD
*HSPL3 (2 days ago HSPL1.4 without problems)
*ChuckyDroidRom (2 days before RTT German ROM without problems)
*Leo_RADIO_2.11
*FroyoStone Sense
*Media Pack (for ringtones/notifications)
Results:

For me absolutely the same! Touchscreen could be better AND the "unlock screen" could be fixed, my text is under the black line, maybe its because of the german text?
Its running perfectly now. No screen freezes, no robotic voice. Its running well. I have darkstone froyo v2.1. My radio is 2.12
To keep the battery running good, i use a app called greenpower , advance task killer and setcpu .. my battery cab last all day!!! I use android as my main os!!!

DarkStone Froyo Series V1 here - battery is my only concern stopping me from making Android OS my primary - I can go from morning til late night on one charge which is not that bad but still WinMo has better battery life on my hd2

Wow! Thats impressive! Perhaps a rom change is in order for me! I am big on texts though, which tends to take a beat stick to the battery and brutally dominate it to about 12 hrs anyway.
PS: i don't use any cpu or task manager programs and my battery life is good. every 15 minutes email check, listen to music for about 30 mins and browsing via internet.
70 - 80 % of battery life
sure winmo was better/higher, but androids battery/energy system isn't fixed yet :/
Radio: 2.12
ROM: Miri's 6.5 Rom
Build: Mattc's with sense
Card: 16gb stock
First off, to my surprise battery life is not bad at all, in fact about the same as winmo with sense. The main problems I have faced are touch screen going unresponsive at times and some apps not working like flashlight. But... gps signal seems even stronger than on winmo, and yes, Google navigation rocks, better than most paid gps apps on winmo. Android has revived my hd2 and kept me from selling it. Speed is very good, better than winmo, better than my espresso. WiFi works normally, as does data. I think some of my touch screen issues are SD card related, but I don't think it will be long before we have a Rom and a lot of issues are solved regarding this, as well as the sleep of death issue. I thought I was getting sod's on this build but actually just didn't realize the green button turns the screen back on. XD
But all in all, Android has been the best thing to happen to my hd2. Oh and while typing his message I just realized how much better keyboard is on this than on winmo. Not even using swype.
Yea I run the same as you no sod, no robot voice, able to send and receive text, etc.. runs smooth for everyday use I was about to buy a Samsung Galaxy S cause I was getting bored with my hd2 but now there is no need I fell back in love with it

I've got a European HD2.
Running the ChuckyDroid ROM, can't remember what radio!
Got DarkStoneFroyo v2.1 which is awesome.
Buttery smooth and get about 21 hours of battery on a single charge!
Using an 8GB Class 4 Kingston microSD card.
One thing that amazes me is how good Flash 10.1 is.
Soo....I'm new at this so here's my info:
Tmousa Hd2 with HD2_Core_Cell_Eco_V3 ROM
FroyoStone_Clean
And a simple 1GB Micro SD Card
Works good for me so far. Except, no WiFi tethering.
I'm happy.

HD2 WP7 - Which Radio are you using?

Hello all, just flashed WP7 and am loving the netflix and the sexy UI!
I would just like some feedback as to what radioversion some of you are using with this phone. I was using a "compatible" radio with an old android nand rom I was using, however I'm thinking that probably it's sub par for a WP7 setup.
I kinda have some complaints that callers can hear things quite loudly that normally go on in the backround "ruffling potato chip bags" sounds like super static noise lol.
Any insight is appreciated, thanks!
Bump... I would like to know as well!
2.15.50.14 but I have a problem with this version, high battery drainage in 2G network! Is somebody have same problem with this version?
Hi,
I had the high Battery drain as well with 2.15 Radio.
So tested 2.08 and 2.10.50.19_2, both seemes better because I could run on day with a battery load.
cheers
I am using 2.12.50. I get around 11 hours on my battery - with pretty reasonable usage.
Just flashed to 2.14.50, now I'm good.

Definitely INSANE battery drain with the phone just sitting, lost 50% power in about 5 hours of the phone just sitting there, with all stuff on manual sync too DEF giving 2.14 a go.
Hi, I am a complete noob so forgive my ignorance.
I installed Radio 2.15.50.14, then MAGDLR113 and finally WP7 8107.
Wow - I have fell back in love with my old HD2! Only problem now is a)reception and b) battery life.
Having read a few forums/threads I think i need to downgrade my radio to 2.14 but I can't find how to do this with MAGDLR installed - the old custom RUU's don't seem to work.
I am probably missing something really obvious but please help.
Thanks
Does those Radio works with "T mobile" HD2 USA Version??

[Q] quick question

im thinking of switching to WP7. is it fully stable?
what works/what doesnt?
Not 100% Stable. But I will tell you, it is faster than Android without it being overclocked of such sort, and the battery performance is exceptionally well.
My phone hasn't been charged for about 13 hours. I've used it from medium/alot of usage today. I'm just waiting for it to die out since I'm training to battery these next 3 days so I can get the most out of it. The interface of wp7 looks very nice and simple to me. Some people like it some people don't. Their are a few problems with camera and the pinch to zoom on the internet explorer, but this will be patched up soon. So far I love it. Also, if you do flash wp7, I would suggest radio 2.14.
The 2.12 radio has better battery performance a tad bit, but it will always switch from edge/3g/hsdpa. 2.14 gives me a very stable connection with great battery performance, and 2.15 is a battery hog. I hope I covered enough for ya

Battery life WP7 vs. WM 6.5?

Hey guys,
I am considering switching to WP 7.5 from WM (default ROM) and was wondering, will I see any battery improvements or it will actually drain it faster?
Also, anyone tried Android 4.0? All I care at this moment is battery life and don't mind whether it's WM, Android or WP.
Hi!
Best batterylife you will get on this device is with WM. Find the right release (some of them have improved power management) and stick to it! You will NOT be able to find better battery-life with Android or WP...
/Anders
That's right. As far as I know, best battery life is with WM6.5. However, I'm really happy about battery life in WP7 (DFT Ultrafruit changing radios and other things). I make more than a day, maybe 2, but being careful about what I do, of course.
Maybe wm6.5 is better.
But I feel wp7 takes better pics.....weird...after taking 240 pictures of a book..the battery from 100 to 13...is this normal or power consuming?BtW,it's standby life can be as long as two days with some general use
Battery life w.r.t various ROMs are as follow
WM 6.5 (Best battery life) >> Android >> WP7 (Worst battery life)
WP7 runs constantly at 998 Mhz (One of the reason for high battery consumption) where as 6.5 and Android can dynamically vary from low CPU consumption to High as required.
Also in WP7 battery life depends on soft radio + hard radio combination.. For good performance with good battery life use 2.15.50.14 Hard radio + 5.50 soft radio.. For best battery life use 2.12 hard radio + 5.50 soft radio..
Trust this clarifies..
Very Low Battery Life...Please help...
Hello friends...
Recently I have installed WM7 to my htc HD2. I found that the battery life is very less.
I have read here that if we use the combination of 2.12 hard radio + 5.50 soft radio.
Please someone tell how to do so....?

Search the forum my friend, hardware radio is updated via the custom RUU, it does not delete anything.
Software radio needs to be built in to the WP7 ROM before you install it, changing this will mean a loss of everything
Now, whilst battery life is deffinitely less than WM, one thing i can confirm is that its not worse than android, the problem is that it doesnt always charge completely, so for example, it may say its 100% full, but its only half full, so it appears to drain twice as quick, or it might say its empty and its still half full.
It could say anything, for best battery life use an external charger. reboots during the day will help keep it reporting correctly. Tho even then ive noticed that it doesnt always work, some times you need to plug a USB cable in for a moment for it to refresh it.
In short, battery charging and reporting is all over the place, but once you get a full charge it actually lasts quite a long time with very heavy usage.
Personally, now that I've found a WP7 ROM that doesn't drain my battery in 5 hours, I don't notice a difference. (I'm now using pdaimatejam, BT on with -3 to -7ma drain in standby, Yay!).
Sure, WM will last longer. Sure Android will last SLIGHTLY longer b/c it doesn't run the CPU full speed when the display is on. And that is a clarifying statement to the above. WP7 does NOT run the CPU full speed all the time, only when not in standby.
Having said that, I get a full, usable day in WP7 with moderate use. I got just over a full, usable day in WM6.5, but I had to charge every night regardless.
Ben
Testing 2.12 now, thanks,

you can dream.... but none updates for WP7 cant be increase battery life... only can be worse
seems your battery in bad shape or something do wrong... also if you play music few hours, play games, nothing strange if battery not least long...
with radio combination 2.15/5.51 + camera trick, with WiFi on 24 hours at day, my battery working around 30 hours with normal use
Hm, well, it said 2h remaining but still holds, another 6 and has battery left... No idea.
I will play with soft/hard roms after Tango is released, as now floashing and losing data for a month or two is pointless
Thanks!
I have actually had better battery life using Pdaimatejam ROM with radio 5.51T/2.15 combo than I had with Android or WM 6.5. Not exactly sure how but it is definitely the case if any of you want to try that

3.good battery life and reasonable speed with freedom to do things that you cant in wp and wm=android

Looking for most clean rom, good performance and battery saving.

Hello,
I got my HD2 for about 2 weeks now and I tried almost al available roms (SD) and I really don't have any idea which one has the best overall performance. I know there are a lot of topics like this one and I also already searched trough the forum but all these topics are outdated. These are the ROMS I tried the most and for the longest time:
Nexus HD2 2.3.7 GingerBread (battery died in 4 hours)
DL Desire 4.31 (laggy and most of time not working)
FroyoStone Sense (less ram memory available, Sense is slow)
MCCM HD V6 (really drains battery)
IceCreamTostiDroid v10.0 (good rom but some games and apps are not compatible)
IceCreamTostiDroid v11.0 (same as ICTD 10.0)
RAFDROiD 4.2 (overall performance not so good, only 1200 Quadrant Benchm)
I would really appreciate a good advice. It's for daily use. And I don't really like big roms with all kinda themes...

If you want just SD build, then i would go with hyperdroid. Either CM7 or Gingerbread, battery life is phenomenal. Also, kernel builds will change your battery consumption too. So it may not always be your ROM. Also, there are things running in the background that you may not use, (for me it was google talk, maps, and LatinIME) i used startup manager to keep them from running at startup.
I can't really give you a specific ROM, but I can give you some advice.
First, if you really care about performance and speed, steer away from Sense.
I'd recommend MIUI for battery life, my phone used to last 3-4 days easily (a few phone calls and sms each day, network ON)
Cyanogenmod should be an option as well, it is fast and has a fair battery consumption rate.
However, the major factor is your usage of wireless networking/apps.
e.g. ,, Using 3G network will drink your battery far more than using 2G.
Keeping Bluetooth/WiFi on while not using them will also drain your battery.
Installing apps that require/keep background processes will drain your battery.
After all, it is up to you choosing a ROM.
HyperDroid is a good choice, Cm7 based, fast, dark-eye-candy, and low battery consumption
