Good file manager (my files) - Galaxy S II General

So I don't like the original My Files apk I used Miui ROM for some time and I really liked it's user experience because it was very organized .. All files was organized by categories and with one click I could access all my documents files ..music .. Apk files it was very easy too use and very easy to manage files from sdcard
Is there any apk that has this functions... Where files are organized by type..?

Try "File Expert" the best file manager out there (in my opinion) . Has tabs as well.

ASTRO is a really good File Manager. But, i don't think there is any app, which categorises the apps, other than miui file manager.

"File Expert" GUI has recently been updated an has the categories you wanted as well.

Try efile...

If you are ROOT, try Root Explorer. The best!

very good file manager for me.It has everything root managing and etc.

the new version of astro is very good and free. try it

Root Explorer and Astro are both powerful tools. They may not have that fancy look (especially RE) but they're unmatched at getting their job done.

Yeah, i prefer RE infact, especially since Astro got more bloated

Also a tip.. if you long press on astro file manager and select detail.. you can see the md5 Checker.
For root explorer long press on the file and select properties you going to see it...just a tip

Droid X wont download zip files?

Is there any way to get rid of this restriction with the zip files and other files as well.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
Hi,
I don't know of a native method of removing that restriction, but the free app Byte Tornado downloader integrates with the browser and allows almost any file to download directly to the phone.
I hope that helps.

Down Droid on market. Just a download manager. Nothing else.
Awesome thanks I used byte tornado

download Astro from the market or appbrain then you can download zip files and extract the apk files from the zip. It's also a great utility app to manage files and backup applications.
I use opera browser to download files. It how's never given me any problems.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
Sadly the stock browser restricts a lot of downloads: .zips (and many .apk's if not all).
Probably there to "protect" itself.
But any third party web browser
(Dolphin HD or Opera) can do those kinds of files.
That is if you don't wish to use a download manager app.
Hope this helped someone!

Open the Market & type Car Home into the search, it will show once you have typed a couple of letters.
Or find any Google inc. app, go down to View More Applications and find it that way.

Hi There,
Tried to install this on my Desire however, couldn't find anything like CarHomeLauncher.apk in the system/apps folder, so simply tried to copy across the file use posted firstly onto the SD card, then into the system/apps folder using ES File Explorer, however the file could not be moved.
Any further ideas?
Can't find it in the market too.
Is there a official installation link or download?
I'm using RCMix S v1.5! How works the car location app in this rom?
Nobody knows it???

Sorry, you asked for the apk's. If you have trouble with ES or Root Explorer like Zanderman said, just flash this zip in CWM.

Any chance you can re-link the Android keyboard? Mediafire is saying it can't process that file request. The others work find.
Thanks!

I wont be at my PC until this evening so I can't repost the Android keyboard link until then, but the zip file above will flash both keyboards. You can delete the Samsung keyboard from inside the zip before flashing it, or from your system/app directory afterwards if you don't want it. Or you can extract whichever keyboard from the zip and push it to system/app.

I have made a titanium backup zip of the file. Unfortunately all attempts at saving th file a an apk failed. But I was able to make a TB of it. Here is the download link.

sweet
Thanks mate, that worked, i installed the apk fine and its working sweet, thanks to you. Seems the market is giving out a false response to loads of phones saying they are incompatable. Strange but mines workiing so good times
Yeah I was getting the same false compatible. I would download it and as soon as it was installed on the android market website it would say incompatible. But whatever, guess this is only for the US users dont know why that it but wanted to share it. If you use it please post your opinion on it. Again I have not used it but am considering doing so now that I have it installed.
I've used it,its okay with a bit more work it'll be good, iris I think looks better graphically. My only hope for cluzee is the ability to Change voice etc

How do I install it from the zip file? Rom Manager aborted the install.
Unpack the zip and unpack it again on the Apk file name, then install, probably better on pc then transfer over

Its a 3 file zip. Uncompress with root explorer, and move the files to your titanium backup folder and restore with titanium backup. Then you should he good

Recommended apps for a rooted tab?

Hi all.
Ok, my tab (7510, wifi only, US) is rooted and working great.
There's a file that needs to be edited to enable the 5Ghz wifi band. I did that.
So, what are some recommended apps for a rooted tab that make this already terrific device even better?
I'm running stock ICS, with the Nova launcher. The tab runs like a rocket, and everything just works with no
problems. I'd prefer to stay with stock ICS for now rather than a custom ROM.
Thanks!

Hi ak.
Yes, you helped. Thanks button clicked!
My favorite app for any rooted android device is LBE Privacy Guard. It's a "by app" firewall and permission manager.
You'll have to grab it from their website for the GT but is runs fine on it. For my RAZR I grabbed it from the market.
I also like OS Monitor and Titanium Backup.

Definitely TitaniumBackup. I know a lot loves the Root Explorer but ES File Manager is great too once you turn on the Root Explorer option. For me it's a lot friendlier.

If you start flashing a lot consider App2Zip as well. Backs up your apps and data to a recovery flashable ZIP file. Can be a bit faster than TB restore and is done pre-startup of the ROM. TB is still great to have though.
For recoveries I recommend TWRP. Touch interface, multi-zip flash in one install, file manager built in...
