App Market and Amazon Service Country Restrictions - Kindle Fire General

Just had a chance to play with my friend's Kindle Fire, and noticed that I was unable to install any app from Amazon (even free ones) or watch videos, due to country restrictions.
Anyway to bypass this?
if sideloading is the answer for apps, is there an alternative app market I can use?

Amazon Appstore from Overseas

I'm currently working overseas, I was able to download Apps from Amazon before. But now Amazon detects I'm not in US so a message pops-up "Amazon Appstore is not available in your region".
I've tried several methods posted on XDA and other website but it's not working.
- Anyone knows of a successful work around?
- Can someone start a list of daily Free Apps APK, so I can grab the ones I like?
TIA
If you have the phone registered to your account you can just go to the amazon app store via your computer and "purchase" it that way.
I don't think anyone can post the apk because it might be considered piracy since you didn't "purchase" it for free and you don't own it.

You can try setting up a proxy for your phone. That might make it think you're in the U.S.

Amazon Appstore

Since yesterday i am unable to download the free app of the day from the amazon appstore app, has anyone else faced this issue yet?
I used the fakenamegenerator.com workaround, i can see all my previously acquired apps, but i get this error " Amazon appstore is not yet available in your region" when im trying to download the new free app.
Should i downgrade the appstore to a previous version? my current version is 2.1.0

You need use a proxy or ssh with USA ips to purchase on PC. When purchase done, you can download it with amazon app store on ARC.
nah i wish to use it only on my phone.
There is no way to use it only on ARC now.

Amazon App Store and Kindle Fire (outside US)

hey guys,
lately i'm getting a denial message about downloading free apps on amazon app store.
I use a american credit card and billing address too, so i'm wondering that they started to check the location of kindle fire, it's that right?
If so, i noticed that throught unblock-us service i can get instant video, but still not apps. Same error about geographic location.
There is a way (vpn or something) where i can download that free apps from amazon app store on my fire?
I searched on another posts, but still not getting a conclusive answer...
Thanks for the patience

[Q] Kindle App Store in the UK? [Solved]

Hopefully this is the best place to post such a question -
Is it possible to use the Amazon Kindle App Store in the UK? I can download free books from Amazon however when I try getting something like Angry Birds, I get the "the amazon app store is not available in your region" error.
Any ideas?
app store only in the us ...
workaround is vpn to us or use android market (should be the easier one)

Managed to use a web proxy to "buy" the apps from the Store and then download them as normal from the kindle.
Thanks!

Having only VPN does not work.
For Appstore, you need to have a US issued credit card and actually you don't need any VPN or proxy to download apps.

[Q] Amazon Appstore and Opera

I have uninstalled Amazon Appstore from my rooted NST. Didn't use it much and kept puting up errors.
Now my Opera browser won't run. I get the message that I need to rinstll the Opera Appstore and sign in to Amazon.
Tried to reinstall the Apk form amazon and get parsing error.
My other internet apps work fine.
Does Opera have a deal with Amazon? I installed the Opera browser from google.
How do I fix this? What is going on?
Ugh, markets, whether "Google Play" or "Amazon Market".
Even the free apps from Amazon Market requires you to have continued registration.
Opera Mobile is free but coming through Amazon Market it has claws in it.
You'll need to uninstall and download directly from opera, then re-install with adb. Make sure you get the correct version as the latest may not work with the nook touch version of android.
