Hi mates.
I have just updated OTA my Note to KKA firmware. But I have the bad feeling that now the phone is a little bit slower in common use: scrolling contacts, browsing with default internet app, moving touch wiz pages...
Is there anybody experiencing the same? If yes, any suggestions to fix it? Maybe cache or some folder? I am not so fond with android...
Thx to everybody.

I also noticed this. I thought the browser was supposed to be 2X's faster?
I'm experiencing this too. After upgrading my Desire yesterday to froyo my default web browser was slower and the scrolling and zooming is lagging. I read that it's because of flash 10.1 beta.

Im not experiencing anything like this. If anything, my phone is at its best.

Odd, i have the same problem, what is your used rom?
If there was no lag (no smooth) when changing homescreens with only few widgets i'd say it is proper official 2.3.4 release...
However, homescreens are respectively smooth with live wallpaper enabled...
Whats your opinion? Do you confirm that lag?

Are you saying there's a lag on homescreens? If so do you have the stock task manager widget there? If you do get rid of it and if you still have lag, sorry mate. At least for me and a lot of others kh3 is great at least, not perfect

Thats what ive got in only 2 homescreens... The lag appears when i go to first homescreen from right to left..

What ROM did you come from? I remember people saying that you need to do a full wipe and reflash and the lag will go away. I'm on stock KH3 with CF-ROOT kernel and I have no homescreen lag.
KE7 stock ----> KG5 stock -----> HK3 speedmod kernel.
Lag appeared after i installed HK3... Also something i noticed is there is no lag after i clean up the memory from the task manager but i see it coming again after i open a couple of applications. Finally theres no lag if i use live wallpaper..

Somewhat off topic here: is the browser from the latest firmwares still incapable of re-flowing text properly with pinch to zoom?

I mean if pinching to zoom has the same effect as double tapping in a webpage, the text in the webpage should adapt to the level of zoom, so as not to be cut off from the screen. Opera Mobile does this very well, I was wondering if the stock browser in newer firmwares does it as well (the older versions didn't).

I would try a full wipe and reflash KH3 to be honest. That doesn't sound right.

That's what i will do but not now..Tommorow for sure!! Thanks a lot tho
I just flashed this ROM and found out I can't install any apps.. it just crashes and reboots and the apps are not installed..
Did you wipe data, cache and Dalvik (dalvik is under Advanced in CWM)? Did you restore system settings with Titanium Backup?
I had enough of this so im back to stock kf3 with speedmod kernel and everything looks smooth and stable..

Hey everybody, I was wondering who else has noticed random reboots and lockups with their 7.7?
I have two, and they both exhibit that behavior.
If so, does anyone have a solution?
Please don't say ICS
I've had problems like this on other Android devices. Try watchdog. It's designed to report apps which use too much CPU. In my experience they are also the cause of phone crashes.

Try flashing the latest firmware from Samfirmware.com with Odin. As usual, backup first.
If your rooted and trying any sort of custom kernel, use less aggressive voltages or frequencies or a different governor.

Sounds helpful, I'll try it out!
My tab locks up/reboots maybe once a week. Haven't been able to find and specific cause.

I think I am using the latest, but I just checked the list here and it seems Samsung haven't released a new firmware since Feb 29 for Thailand. I need right-to-left language support (just to read & write, I still want my menus in English), so does anyone know if this firmware supports right-to-left?

Rooted, but no custom kernel or overclocking so that's not an issue but thanks.

I had this problem when I first got this pad. it was after I had restored a bunch of apps after reconfiguring touchwiz homescreens. It kept freezing on me. I cleared the data on my touchwiz app (via menu) and redid my homescreens. No freezing or lockups since.
Hey guys,
I just bought a brand new Nexus 4 from Google Play and I rooted it first with AOKP but now I'm on CyanogenMod. Within a couple of days my keyboard started to become so laggy that it just crashes while I'm texting or writing an email. I switched ROMs and I installed kernels to see if anything helps but after a few hours it gets back to the same problem.
I don't know if I should unroot it and go back to stock. Or what I should do because this is extremely annoying.
Any sort of help would be appreciated
Thanks!

Could it possibly be with anything else you install? I've never had a laggy keyboard before. Are you using the keyboard that comes with the rom or installing your own? I'll use either the stock keyboard or SwiftKeys.
Also do you have a large dictionary or other addons?

Thanks for your reply. I just have normal apps like Facebook and music players. I am using the keyboard that comes with the ROM itself, and no I don't have any addons or anything.
I'm really thinking about unrooting and then rerooting it again to see if that helps

I just find it weird because I've had absolutely no laggy keyboard at all with my Nexus 4 (with either stock/rooted or with this SlimBean 4.2.2), using either the stock keyboard or SwiftKeys, it's a pretty powerful phone too so even swiftkeys with it's predictions shouldn't become laggy. I suspect there's something else amiss especially if you have this problem on more than one rom.

Thanks bro but I'll just try unrooting/rerooting to rule out any other problems

lol, root isnt the problem. unrooting it will amount to washing your cloths because your car is leaking air out of its tires. but, it can be cm. 1st, try just deleting the keyboards data in the main phone settings, app, all, then delete the keyboard apps data. if its not fixed, then boot into recovery and wipe your dalvik cache and cache. if still not fixed, try a different rom or different keyboard.
Hey Guys, I've been having a trouble with my Samsung keyboard lately. My most favorite feature is gone. I've searched everywhere but I can't find anything relevant to this. The clipboard icon is gone.. I installed clipper but it's not as practical as the stock one.
I'm using the official firmware. Touch wiz. Android 4.3 N9005 rooted. Help..

Ditto, I also really miss the clipboard which I use(d) constantly and found invaluable as a time saver. Would be very grateful for any assistance.
I guess downloading a keyboard app could be an option but annoying that it's become a necessity.
Given that the latest update (4.3, delivered on the 19th I think) has generally made everything run badly, jitter, freeze and lose things constantly, is it possible to simply roll back to the previous version?
Thanks for any help!
Noob
I am having the same problem on my Galaxy S3 - after upgrading to 4.3, that heavily-used icon of mine is gone.
Since my wife's S4 (of course) has it, along with a few other new features (such as the OCR text entry, which I find a hell of a feature!), the question creeps into my mind: is it Samsung's way to tell us "your phones aren't the flagship anymore"?
Is there any way that this is only an error that can be fixed by an update, or is it really a political treat to us "old" phone users?
