i miss CorePlayer on Android. None of the palyers I have found are as versatile. Anyone have a suggestion?
Try rock player. But Android doesn't "natively" support as many formats as winmo.. think you'll see more of them supported in gingerbread, but that's just my thoughts..

Rockplayer is superfast but not much featured.
WM6.5.x Energy/Dutty's or Android SD/NAND build?
please guys this is not a WM vs Android thread just a qustion...
Well to be honest with you any WM 6.5 ROM is better for taking pictures and video as the camera is one of the main things that gives chiefs problems with NAND Android ROMe and WP7 ROMe as that is very common with ports from one device to another and because the HD2 was never meant to run Android or WP7. Android usually takes good pictures but some ROMs can not take what I call full screen pictures and the video is the same. WP7 ROMe have finally got the camera issues just about worked out but you usually have to install a fix for it after you flash the ROM. They also finally found a fix for the Sense 3.0 and higher ROMs now where they take pretty good pictures now, check the last 10 to 20 pages of the XDA Portal to find that fix.
Now having said that I have used a couple of NAND Android ROMs that took good pictures and video. Most of the MIUI ROMe took good pictures but check the ROM threEs for info on each individual ROM as other ROMs have a good functioning camera as well.
As far as camera is concerned, I had the best results with Gingerbread Nand for photos and WP7 Mango for videos.
Transfer and playback - Android wins over WP7 and Zune with its inane glitches and conversions, especially where video/movies are concerned. Music plays equally well on both, but Android gives you better players and options. But that is just my opinion, of course.
WM6.5 is not in the race for me. Not going back to it.
what about music player and video player?
i use hyperdroid cm7 the camera is nice but that's it JUST nice....
Hey guys, at the moment i am installing HydrogenICSv1.4 Custom rom on my galaxy s2.
So far it seems to be stable and working well, however i have noticed a Google Play crash. Only one but its still a crash!
My only issue with it, is that my WiFi seems to have a weaker signal than on my stock xwkk2 kernel GB 2.3.6, but im not sure if it is coincidence or it is actually an issue.
I think the new UI is really nice, and it works at a decent pace. I especially like the dialler, and am very happy about colours and textures and the like.
I am still just a noob, and i was going to post elsewhere but i was prevented because of this 10 thanks or whatever business, but i hope you guys and gals have a look at the ROM.
So i hope this gave you a shallow insight into the workings of the new ROM, and thanks for reading!
Cheers,
Tangent5
Ps, i would show you where i downloaded the ROM, but the forums wont let me but i did find it through "androidauthority"
A good ROM, well supported by a talented young dev.
I've been trying various AOKP/CM9 and MIUI ROMs lately, and Hydrogenics is im my top 2.
I'm still staying with GB for now. I like FM radio, and I need a working videocam - wife insists for filming of youngest. And, er, other situations.
Much work is being done, but it seems FM radio will never be ported, and videocam support is proving difficult. Some helpful posts on the CM9 thread along the lines of if-you-need-video-buy-a-camcorder miss the point spectacularly.
MIUI looks great, but doesn't support 4G and video playback is average at best for many codecs (no HW encoding for my mkv files with MX Video Player for me, anyway).
Referring to your first post - since you've only just rooted, I'd recommend a GB ROM for now. Check out CheckROM - it's very customisable, you can pick and choose kernels/apps/themes/tweaks.

Please refer to that thread about how to reach 10 posts.
For now, let's keep all discussion of this particular ROM in it's own thread.
Thanks
I am using a sense lite ROM now and feel like to change to a faster ROM. These are my requirement:
1. Stable
2. Fast (No-sense UI !?)
3. ICS or JB
4. All function works like Bluetooth, Camera, video recording... etc.
Please give me some recommendation, thank you!

I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND the ROM carbon 4.3 of albinomen (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2344281), is very fast, stable and with a lot of personalization issues (i love HALO), but it has a few bugs like headphones heat up and crush with video thumbnails. You can solve the first one with bluetooth headset and the second one with QuickPick and MX Player apps.
I tried some ROM like PE, MIUI, RevengeOS and now Ion with firmware 061 but my phone keeps loading videos at 360p even Facebook, Netflix and Tiktok. Any solution for this case? Thank you guys
PS: I heard that this involve in L3 DRM? Because since I flashed Q firmware, this happened.
@BORETS24 ZenUi56 is the best ROM ever. Q ROMs are quite buggedes, that doesn't worth
