Market not downloading apps, not failing either

My market just displays "starting dowload" indefinitely when i try to download anything. And my google talk closes the instant that it opens. Any ideas on a fix?

+1 on needing a fix.
My market has the exact same problem.
Just started yesterday when i went to jts clean rom.

Have either of you done a titanium backup?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
I had that problem yesterday I had to un-root the phone I can't post the URL but you can find the thread in the 2nd page of fascinate and devlopement forum
it was the only solution I found and it helped
Im Having the same problem. Happened after flashing JT's clean ROM.
It's from restoring apps with Titanium Backup. For whatever reason, whenever I do this, it breaks my market no matter what ROM and whether I have Voodoo or not. Restore to stock, re-root, and everything, and you need to restore every app manually.
I did not use Titanium Backup.
I posted a new thread about this, seemed to work for me and a few others I tried. Check "for anyone having market issues"
Been having the same problem. I used titanium to freeze then defrost Market. Then did the same thing to Market Updater. Market works perfect now, but it reverted from the Froyo version back to Eclair. But it's better than not working at all.
Promise this will work. Just go to titanium and click on Market and then click Wipe Data. Do the same with Market Updater. All will be fixed.

Thanks for the idea.
Got anymore? Did this, and the thread mentioned above and no change.
I will have to try reverting to eclair if i can't get this working. Argh

This is an old issue, with several things to try.
I would first suggest looking through your application list and uninstalling any 0.00 sized files left as ghosts of apps manually removed. There will possibly be other smallish sized files left behind as well if you can identify them.
Force stop and clear market cache
Boot into recovery, clear cache and reboot.

I tried everything you just said above exactly. It still has the same result: "Starting Download" indefinitely.
I also tried using Titanium Backup to wipe data for market and market updater, but that didn't work either. I'm pretty frustrated that I can't figure this out
Got a solution. I was having the same problem with my Evo. Go to applications, then go to installed on sd. Move everything over to the phone. Then go to all applications and clear cache/data/and force stop it. That did the trick. You can move everything back to sd card after it fixes the market issue and it shouldn't happen again.

I tried this to no avail. I also tried all of the above mentioned solutions, as well as all of them at the same time but with no luck. Its just stuck at "starting download"...
Anyone else have an idea?

I also had this problem, I had to remove lagfix, restore older backup and start all over. It worked and all is well for me now. It sucks but it worked. I hope someone else can find a better solution. I even had jt reply and he said he didnt have that prob. Hopefully some will figure it out.

Uninstalling the froyo market and reverting back to the 2.1 market resolved this issue for me on 2 phones ... Mine and the wifee.
I had this issue, and I found out something peculiar. I was running JT's Super Clean rom with Market 2.2 and a Voodoo kernel, and the Factory Reset ran, but did not actually reset anything. After turning Voodoo off, I was able to Factory Reset, which fixed the Market issues.
Same thing here...
I was having this issue as well. Had to install JT Clean rom w/ wiping cache and data. Tried every suggestion in the book but none fixed it but wiping cache and data and installing JT Clean Rom.

Wifi Error

When I try to use my wifi on CM 7.1 stable it just says error everytime I turn it on. So I tried to wipe everything again and reflash and that still didn't fix it. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Try wiping cache and dalvik n try it or try to reflash different kernel .or just the stock kernel 4 cm you may also of got a incomplete download. Did you maybe restore part of a old OS instead of just apps also?

This answer was given to me by "teh roxxorz." This has nothing to do with your rom or kernel, do this:
Back up everything into Titanium Backup
Boot into recovery
wipe cache, Dalvik, and pretty much everything
reflash your rom, kernel and gapps (or if you would like to check out some other roms and kernels just click on the link in my sig)
once you've set up your phone download Titanium Backup from the market
in titanium backup restore all your apps ONLY!!! (don't get apps w/ data - only get apps, and do not get system data)
after this your wifi should be working just fine
p.s. if you would like to find out more about aosp roms/kernels check the link in my sig ^_^
The strange part is I restored nothing at all. It was a fresh start I will see if that works.

Cm7 and CyanogenMod settings

Install on the original stock rom went fine, but I can't use CyanogenMod settings as it FC's each time.
Any idea why?

Boot into TWRP, factory reset, wipe /system, install CM7, reboot. It should work now. It's probably just bad data, or cruft on /system.
[SOLVED]cm7 and Cyanogenmod settings
Obvious. I cleaned everything befor a new install; No more FC's.

Apps keep force closing....mainly xda

Gets guys...I am running Freegs4 and ktoonesz kernel for about a week but all of a sudden today apps started to just force close. The worst is the XDA app which force closes as soon as I open it. I had to write this from my gs2. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but no luck...I really don't want to restore...any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Maybe booting into custom recovery, if you have it, and wipe cache and dalvik, not data full factory restore. Then run fix permissions and boot back into system. I don't know if that would fix it but that's what I'd do as a last resort before restoring a nandroid or installing a stock ROM and kernel and seeing how stable that was.
change your kernel.

Tapatalk app not functioning properly

So it logs me in, but it loads infinitely and nothing ends up loading in entirely. I've tried uninstalling it, deleting the data/cache but no luck

I haven't had this issue yet but it does have problems from time to time. When I have problems I usually wipe data on app and reboot and sign in again and its fine. I always make sure I have an old backup too using titanium backup cuz sometimes the updates cause issues and I'll just roll back. My advice is use XDA app maybe and try tapa again in a week or so maybe it will work again. Idk. Looks like you've already tried what you can and its not working.. Hope you get it fixed.
