different HD2 EU - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hi All,
I'm wonderig if I'm the only one that's not able to use the "modern" Kernels like hierOS and other?
I tried many ROM's from different developers. All ROM's with Kernel Rafpigna 1.9 OC GB (never tried 2.0) just work fine and fast. But all ROM's with for example hierOS Kernel do not work correctly - bad signal, sound quality (telphone) bad, slow phone, no smoothness.
For examle I used dungphp's Runny ROM 1.05.401.4 v1.6 EU - everything works just fine - no issues (it's with rafpigna's Kernel 1.9). V1.7, 1.8 and 1.9 never worked correctly (hierOS Kernel). (YES, I cleaned everything, Task29... before changing the ROM). I also tried to flash rafpigna's Kernel for dungphp's v1.9 - no luck - data/wifi never worked again (even if I changed back to original Kernel (hierOS) which I extracted from his ROM Package). I had to fully wipe everything and do a clean flash.
I'm wondering if there are different HD2 (EU) versions (hardware) around. Because others do not have this problem and they're HD2 works better with hierOS than with rafpigna.
I was one of the first in switzerland that had his HD2 - maybe on following devices something was changed (hardware)?
Someone heard about something? Any ideas?
I also do not have the change to get CWR 5.0.2.6 installed. All tries - directly install within CWM - installing with DAF - just failes.

but any rom basd on rom CyanogenMod-6 for Dream & Magic - V6.0.0
it will be so bad
That sucks. Actually, I think I'm gonna go ahead and Flash some Sense.
Edit: Added LogCat.
All these roms are "based" on Cyanogen 6.0.0.
Its not a rom problem, its a hardware problem.Everyones phone is different.
You either arent wiping everything... your Sdcard has random folders from other roms.. swap to high etc..
Its funny how people blame the rom when it works fine for 1000 other people.

ur say all roms are based on Cyanogen 6.0.0.
why this rom dont have this problem
[ROM]SuperFroyo v6.6.2 With App2SD-EXT3/4 by [email protected]
and very good
"From the best existing base CyanogenMod"
Says this under every download link for that rom.
Again, its a hardware problem, not a rom problem. there are thousands of people using Cyan based roms with none of the problems you have.
The fact that one works just means something is setup differently I.E a script, ext off etc..
I promise, If you wipe everything on phone, repartition your sd card and format, even the nightlies of Cyan will work.
Its like blaming Windows for your harddrive not being hooked up.
Just do a w ipe of everything including Dalvik and cache and it will work properly. I had the same problem by not following 100% the install instructions on Cynanogen's Wiki

camera 2.3.3

some times red some times green ? 2.3.3 any hotfix?
It seems to be that every tattoo work for itself. For example, I can't flash any nFinity ROM from 1.x.x version and get it to work, also cm7 7.1.0 give me problems with GPS but i never had problems with camera. Now I downgraded on cm7 rc4.1 and i have no problems at all. For me that is most stable version.
each tattoo works different for the same rom, try to reflash your rom and if it does not work,do a logcat and send it to the dev

[Q] MultiBoot & ICS

Unfortunatelly I don't have permissions to reply in this topic, so I created this one.
I have Installed CM7.2 (from Quarx) on stable recovery and ICS to latest recovery. I use multiboot for this.
Everything worked good, but one of the newest version of ICS has newer kernel, so after I choose it phone just stucks at Moto logo...
So I have 2 questions:
1) Is it possible to get working new ICS on multiboot?
2) If no, how can I delete ICS from latest recovery and install there other firmware?
Thanks

Nope its not possible to have the newer versions including 111207 on multiboot!
to get rid of ICS in the latest boot you can just flash an other .zip over it, like miui or stuff...
hope it helped, greetz Esok
It is possible
Yes, it is possible. The only vital pre-requisite is to upgrade the main CM7 system to 2.3.4 kernel version.
But before, take care of:
1. The 2.3.4 kernel has some issue regarding camera, specially green lens (I think it doesn't work yet). Red lens work great, after a few work around with some overlay libs. (all this stuff very well described on CM7 thread).
2. Once you upgrade the kernel, you could install CM9 latest test builds.
pros:
- both systems running latest GB kernel (remember be sure to use 2.3.4)
- great to have CM7 and CM9.
cons:
- be sure to fix your camera in CM7. (of course, hope you have red lens )
- in my case: CM9 boot, but it doesn't detect the baseband (if I check "About phone" Baseband details show "Unknown"). WiFi work Ok.
I really appreciate any advice in this last comment.
Happy holidays

[Q] Acquiring a stable .35 Kernel?

Hey everyone, I have a question regarding the .35 Kernel. I'm just going to explain my situation and maybe it might help some others too.
Right now I'm using the MIUI Elite X1 ROM by TerraMino (Fantastic Job) in combination with Franco's .32 Kernel. I'd like to try out some ROM's based on the .35 Kernel like Aurora or MIUI V4.
However, I've tried installing some .35 based ROM's with the thought that the .35 Kernel would automatically be installed, this, however, doesn't seem to happen though because I can't seem to get my battery status and WiFi to work in every .35 based ROM, the .32 Kernel is still in use with .35 based ROM's.
What is the solution to this or do I need to install a .35 Kernel manually?
Thanks!
You must install an official, stock 2.3 update from Huawei to get the .35 kernel installed. I recommend version B518. Get it from R4DK0's mirror: qrac.zapto.org
Install it by copying the dload folder to your SD card root, then turning off the phone and restarting it with volume +, - and power buttons held down together. After updating, you'll have to reinstall CWM with version 5.0.2.7 or 5.5.2.3, available from the aforelinked repository. Now you can flash any 2.6.35 based ROM, including Aurora. Good luck.

Sense 4.1 Rom coming soon

I have ported greeneyes's sense 4.1 rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1980122) and i will upload the rom, make thread etc in friday because of my slow internet connection.
Currently not working: Wifi (shows error-because of the kernel), Bluetooth (turns on, but wont discover any devices), Camera (stock camera-no, should work with 3rd party apps but i didnt test it), 3g (should also work, but can't add apns-says that sim card is not inserted), there are also a few bugs here and there but nothing big. Everything else works perfectly and the rom is very smooth and stable.
The real problem and the reason i made this thread is because of the kernel i used for this rom, which is outdated aka shakys kernel from his rom (sense 4.0) ...and not the greeneyes's because i dont know how to port kernels, actually i know very little about kernels. Anyway if it werent for shakys kernel i wouldnt be able to port this rom, @shaky thanks.
So if anyone is interested in this rom he could help with kernel and these bugs, any tips and suggestions are welcome!
