Found this http://galnetmiui.co.uk/landing/ics-builds/ whilst looking for an ICS rom for my desire hd.
Flashes quickly an appears to run very smooth. Camera notably improved and scores 2417 on quadrant.
About phone says android 4.0.1
Kernel 2.6.35.14-cyanogenmod-g9e5cdf1
Build number miui-1.11.9
I just flashed this rom to my htc desire and see nothing new then the previous MIUI builds..though it does say in the version android 4.0.1..
Need to try USB connectivity etc .. I agree this is the same miui. However it is not at all laggy and the camera is quick and accurate unlike gingerbread. Need to keep playing with it. Only issue so far is fc in market place when scrolling.app screen shots..... will report anything remarkable

WTF? I doubt this top be really ICS based. The devs over in the Dev Section hardly created a AOSP alpha ROM. Why should the MIUI Team be able to get all needed Subjects working before our devs do?

People people, read. It has 4.0.1 frameworks merged, it is still 2.3.7 Gingerbread.

OK guys this is not a rom supported on XDA for a reason. Please use their site for all discussions about this rom.

Hi, sorry if its been asked before but is there a rom that is close to stock android? If so which is it?
Thanks

Why don't you just stay with the stock ROM?
Think the op was asking closest to stock android not stock sgs2
Cm7 looks like stock but has loads of extra goodness. Not for beginners and its still a wip but still.. well its ace the devs are doing magic stuff

Yeah I tried cm on my desire hd it was quite good but always went back to sense as I liked it, but in my opinion touchwiz is a bit more stock androidy feel to it rather than sense , so wanted to go all out and just try out stock android , so the cm rom, is it available yet? Obviously not stable I take it??
Oh I would also like to ask if someone can tell me is what's the difference between cm stable and nightly builds??
I think I can assume what stable means but never knew what a nightly build was??
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
Its not 'stable' yet for sgs2 in fact the first nightly only came out today.
Stable releases are known quantities I.e set milestones whereas nightly builds have commits added as they're submitted... nature of the beast some will fix stuff some might cause issues. Pot luck.
Stick with stable builds (there isn't one for sgs2 yet) if you want something rock solid without the occasional gremlin or two.
I quite like touchwiz but always run launcherpro so rarely bump into tw!

Anything specific? I'm going to make one, but I need ideas

Sense 3.5
Bliss base
Runny nav bar
No bloat
Runs perfect without swap
Or maybe u wanna port Android evolution or Runnymede desire rom by sebastian15? The latter is a great rom
Yeah, the DZ community has a love/hate relationship with 3.5 sense rom, so a one running smoothly without swap, no bloat, nicely themed (easy on the eyes ), is a way to go.
There are alot of sense 3.5 roms for the DZ. I've tried them all (literally), so far the Bliss sense and the NRG 3.5 sense roms are good, other I had trouble with (laggy, slow, crashes...).
MIUI, seen one seen them all, although popular you will be just one in a bucket of full pretty good and functional MIUI roms.
Stock g2 or AOSP also, there are alot of them for the DZ, there has to be yet an AOSP that can beat the awesome CM 7 rom.
If you make it really try hard to stand out, cause it will be burred soon under the mentioned ones.
You could try porting a weird obscure ROM that nobody has really seen much of. I remember using a ROM by SiulMagic called LiquidM_Villain, its basically an Acer modified version of Froyo. I used it for a few weeks before leaving because I missed Gingerbread, but it was quite a neat ROM. Theres a Gingerbread version around now that could be ported? Or maybe theres another modified version of Android that nobody really sees much of?

Lol or he could build cm7 for the acer liquid metal my wife has it, nice device but seriously lacking in the rom department. Taz if your interested fire me a pm, I have some background on the liquid and could help out you'd be a god on the liquid metal modaco forum
As for the g2 there isn't anything I can think of...we pretty much have everything except full ICS.
Taz I'm serious about the acer tho...pm me!

What specs does the acer have?
Also, will hopefully try my hand at that desire rom. Doesn't look too easy because of desire-specific things, but will try

Lots of similarities with the DZ taz, same cpu, ill have to check again. But they've been trying to port cm7 from the DZ to the liquid MT, they almost have it but I think you could blow it out of the water.

Honeycomb?
I noticed the HC SDK 3.0 uses the GB launcher so...
Some other folks built and compiled HC for their phones too, off the SDK I believe.

Honeycomb is a bad idea when we have ICS being ported at the moment (which if you check the dev page, there's a thread with an almost complete port) since honeycomb was designed purely for tablets and is not meant for phones. A LOT of quite possibly pointless work would have to go in it.
take any existing ROM - figure out how to make it have even better reception in weak signal areas - and you will be a STAR on XDA!!
and start with the ROM that is the fastest, leanest, and has the best battery life and most free RAM of any ROM.........yes I am talking about G-Lite 2.0.1
My idea is the latest stock rom with nice tweaks and addons but that's just an idea... And maybe nobody likes it

The ICS rom on Desire Z is out ? or it's still the alpha version ?
I was wondering if there are any full sense 3.6 Roms that have everything working including camera. Tried searching but didn't really come up with anything.
I really blackout but it has no camera. It's the only thing holding me back from that Rom.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA
Oh, hell. It has been explained, repeatedly, in every Sense ICS thread why we have no working camera for Sense ICS. Go read and learn.
Also, brace yourself. Flaming is coming.
Sent from my Glacier using XDA
I believe the OP looked at Desire S section...
Unlike Desire S, which has leaked official Sense 3.6 with proper kernel, MT4G doesn't have any official leak - because there will be no official ICS. So while Desire S can enjoy the proper kernel that supports everything without waiting for its sources to become available, MT4G has to wait.
You need full functionality? Stay on GB. I stayed. Next time, try searching before posting, as estallings15 suggested.
I know that ics has problems with the kernal for the camera just wondering
I did search and did not find anything
And there is no need to cry

So this my be a really stupid question, but ics has full functionality on the aosp and aokp rooms do they not use kernal 3? Could someone just use that kernal? I'm not trying to say our devs aren't the best around , just trying to understand the difference.

We don't have kernel 3. The Desire S does, but it's a different phone and won't work on the Glacier. And AOSP/AOKP is fully functional because the developers kept working on the fixes, as so are the developers doing the same for the camera and every other Sense 3.6/4.0 bug.

Yeah. Our aosp/aokp roms are the work of lots of butchering, they don't use a 3.0 kernel just lots patches and [email protected] trust me. If it were that easy, someone would have done it by now; besides aosp kernels don't work on sense

Which is AOSP. We just went over this. A working AOSP camera does not a working Sense camera make.
Hopefully elginsk8r can put the finishing touches on his kernel soon. Mix that with the DHD ICS source, whenever that happens, and we'll be in business.
just wondering , is there a fully working Sense 4.0 rom for MT4G? i know its new but the only sense 4.0 rom i can find is the
HYBRID SENSE HTC One Series[V,X,S][5.27.12] Golden Edition V1.1
which unfortunately doesn't have a working camera...
None of them have (and likely will ever have) working camera functionality

This is the wrong place for this thread. It should go in the Q&A section. Just gonna throw that out there
*Facepalm*
Google is your friend, use it. We have many sense 4 roms, none of them have camera, if you had done a google search, you would know this.
no need to be rude, i did say "the only sense 4.0 rom i can find is..." which must mean i searched and that's what i got
but thanks anyways
virtuous infinity http://www.virtuousrom.com
no data or wifi fix yet but a very smooth and clean rom, no cam either but thats a kernel issue
And now HTC announced a few days ago tht they wont update the Desire HD. And the devs base their MT4G roms on that phone.

The question or which ROM is the stablest is one of those very subjective things. "Stable" means different things to different people, though the Gingerbread ROMs tend to be the most bug-free and feature-complete. There is a ROM index at the development forum listing most of the ROMs available here. Just try a few for yourself.
Well Ok then I mean , Which is the most feature complete??

Like I told you, the Gingerbread ROMs (though the ICS ones are also quite stable and the JB ones are getting there). Beyond that, I strongly recommend that you try several out for yourself. The development forum's index will be a good resource. Additionally, each ROM's thread's first post will describe the highlights of that particular ROM. The most active ROMs will be clustered around the top of the dev forum.
Thanks pal

I have used BlackOut Incredible v3.1, Sabsa Prime v5.0 and TrickDroid v1.1.1.. I advise you to use TricDroid if you want sense 4 and BlackOut Incredible if you want sense 3.6. Both are stable.
Here is an up-to-date list of HTC Desire HD Custom ROMs from XDA.
Here are a few older custom ROM screenshots.
I enjoyed MIUI (Gingerbread version) for ages. The ICS version is also good. Many people like CyanogenMod. As people have said, it's a personal thing based on how you enjoy the feel and look of the UI.
I currently enjoy using Blackout ICS Incredible v3.1.0 which is my first HTC Sense ROM in a long time.
Hopefully ROM threads include screenshots for you to get an idea of things. For the other specs or included or missing things, you need to read the thread.
Of course all of the Desire HD XDA ROMS are listed in the Desire HD Android Development section.
Should it be a rom with sense or not? I would try cayanogen mod 7.2 or andoird revolution hd. but by the way, you are the only one who can say that is good for you
Thanks all. That was very kind of all of you
